watching this makes me miss the times with VR6, 328i and Type-R...every VW sounds identical nowadays except the R32
Jenex identical? bruh my 7.5 gti doesn’t sound like any other Volkswagen and I’m 100% positive.
Because of the fact, that VW builds the same engine for several cars there is no real difference. Until the late 90's early 2000's each model had its own engine and therefore its own character. Nowadays it is not important, which car from VAG you drive, as long as it has the 2.0 TFSI. New VAG cars are not bad: they are fast, have an efficient fuel consumption, and the price tag is moderate. But they have no character and emotions...IMHO they are boring. I would prefer a Golf R32 with 6G manual anytime over a Golf 7 GTI. Same with MB C63 W204 and W205 C63...maybe the 205 is a second or two quicker to 200, but the 204 makes much more fun.
Jenex If I took you to the showroom and told you to choose a car, Golf Mk3/Mk4 R32 or 7 GTI you would choose the 7 GTI and I’ll bet on my own fucking life that you’ll choose the 7 GTI, you are the type of dude to say “oH oLd CaRs ArE bEsT” without a fucking reason
Yes, I own a Mk7 GTI and gotta admit it even sounds just similar to other 2.0t hatch competitor, nothing unique anymore.

It is my personal opinion, but for me, new sport VW''s sounds like modern honda-ricers with fart canons. There's a bunch of them where I live, and it's a pain in the ear. 👎
That's the exact reason why I prefer VW R32's 1000x more than a stock 7 GTI

Is there no TUV in Belgium and Netherlands??? Are they allowed to participate in the normal traffic? In Germany these cars would be suspended from traffic within 1 day!
Haki We have very strict laws and inspection. These people just drive around like this until they get pulled over by police. And for the annual inspection you just switch back to the stock exhaust.

@@boroboroae86 Thanks for clarification dude but their license plates are on UA-cam why does the police not search fo them? And the what is the punishment? In Germany you can lose your driving license for such childish behaviour! The punishment can't be too hard in NL and BE if there are hundreds of these cars driving around....
Nash Wemmer They either give you a ticket/fine and tell you to change back to a normal exhaust. Or when the noise is ridiculously loud they can take you straight to the inspection center. They will red card your car and you’ll have to change back to stock. Pay for another inspection and a fine.
Almost every car is an automatic.

Absolut lächerlich sind 2 Liter 4 Zylinder Tfsi mit DSG. Diese scheiss DSG Pfürze und dann das Bongotrommeln.... peinlich da wünscht man sich den VR6, R32 und r36 zurück 😊
Fahre selber einen und zwar nen Cupra 300, aber dieses gefurtze ist echt nur lächerlich und zum Fremdschämen

Everyone is different on the sounds they like. I love the magnaflows on my 2012 Autobahn Edition GTI. I've since added an APR Ko4 and APR FMIC and it sounds even better now.
