So for a while now I've been thinking how blessed y'all are to have Jennifer in your lives. She is honestly the greatest Auntie nanny ever!! She's such a beautiful person and so full of love for each of you, and especially Leo, and her prowess as a Mom is plainly evident by observing the fine young man that Grayson has become. So, a shout-out to Jennifer from this long-time subscriber from Texas!! ❤️
Agreed‼️‼️
I truly don't know what they'd do without her, especially Leo!
I would just like to have 1/10 of the patients she possesses because I may have 1/10 of that 1/10 at this time at 63 which means I really have none at all.
She's a saint in many ways but teh best aunt on earth and I believe one day Leo is going to vouch for that.
Hes a very lucky little guy to have her and two wonderful parents to boot.😊
Agree also!
I'm 74 and I watched Mr. Ed in California. Poor Wilbur, Mr Ed was always giving him grief. Lol
I know it's probably a bit late to suggest this as we're a couple weeks behind and you've probably already fitted the window, but I would seriously consider making that big window an opening one, or at least in part. You can buy security locks to stop children climbing/falling out, but having an opening window means you've got access for cleaning and maintenance, and most importantly, an escape route in the event there's a fire and someone up there can't get downstairs. Just a thought....
My thoughts exactly! If the stairs are blocked by fire, you have no way out if the window does not open.
Egress windows in case of a fire is code in our area.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
We built it nice because we built it twice. Don't worry Trent and Allie, we just finished our third remodel on the same house we have lived in for almost 30 years. The 2nd remodel was necessary because a huge hemlock tree fell onto the house in a high wind just before Christmas of 2006. The tree severely damaged the south end of the house. We wound up replacing 14 trusses and 2 gable ends. We then rebuilt the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and then rebuilt the stairs and the laundry room downstairs. We also replaced and moved doors windows and walls. This summer we are now finishing the third remodel of the family room, and bedroom and bathroom downstairs.
Whew! Rock on. I, too, love in a wood house remodeled 3 times and still need a bathroom or two redone 😏
“ A horse is a horse of course of course” 🤣
and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed. :)
@@claudialacey1885 go right to source and ask the horse, he’ll give you the answer that you endorse…..
A horse is a horse of course of course he’ll give you the answer that you endorsed. He’s always on steady course. Talk to Mr Ed
Yep... Such a Fun Show....
I was 11 years old in 1961 when Mr. Ed started it’s 6 years on TV and as a horse lover it was one of my favorite show.
I'm 73 and loved Mr Ed. Love from Australia
I love that you are fixing the windows! Yes, I’m old enough to remember Mr. Ed!! I watched that show everyday!! Love you guys and love that you’re having another baby and will be praying for Allie to have a wonderful delivery.💕
Mr Ed's catch word was " Willburrrrr" . I loved that show. Good , clean viewing pleasure. You two have good, clean content, too, Trent and Allie !!! Enjoyable every time. Such quality people you two, Brandon,Grayson, Jennifer, Leo and all of your visitors are.
As a great grandmother I remember thinking they must not be planning on kids with those floor level windows
I will be a great grandmother in Oct. I thought the same when they designed and built the house. I thought, What, no room for kids, family, etc in their future?
Allie, I'm so impressed with how much video content you created before you gave birth! I read your Instagram birth notification on July 18th. You have put out two videos per week in which you are still pregnant since then. That's impressive content creating and editing! Trent, I watched Mr Ed faithfully as a kid. The show started in 1961 and ran for 6 seasons. Hearing your comment made me curious about how they made Mr Ed talk, so I found this: As actor Alan Young recounted: "It was initially done by putting a piece of nylon thread in his mouth. But Ed actually learned to move his lips on cue when the trainer touched his hoof. In fact, he soon learned to do it when I stopped talking during a scene! Ed was very smart." Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories!
I’m 76 now and with my four siblings we would watch Mr Ed. The thing I never knew was what Trent said about the Peanut Butter to get the horse to look like he was talking. Of course as youngsters we thought he could talk. Watching the removal of those windows showed just how Trent, Brandon and Grayson have become a amazing team. I was jealous when I saw that view from the window just before the plastic went up. It’s going to be like a Life Painting with the changing of the seasons. Sending love to you all ❤️💙💙❤️💙💙xxxxxxxxxxx
Mr. Ed first aired when I was a 14 year old horse-obsessed girl in the suburbs of Jacksonville, FL. I read books about them, drew them, and dreamed of having my own. As an adult, I had several. To me they are the most magnificent creatures on Earth.
A horse is great but a unicorn is much better! 😁👍
Loved that show when I was a kid. Am now 66.
Hard to tear out your hard work but you’ll be so happy you made this change! Safer windows & snow sloughing. Not to mention less work clearing the deck😊 It’s looking great! Trent, your impression of Mr. Ed was excellent! Grew up watching it as a fave!
Well, I'm 74 and I watched Mr.Ed all the time , I really enjoyed it. It was a cute show!
I’m 68 and I loved Mr Ed too! We had corny shows but they were fun as a kid. The new bedroom window is going to be awesome. I think you had your baby Ali and I can’t wait to see him. 😊❤
Loved that talking horse! I’ll have to look for videos and show my 3 year old grandson. He will get a giggle out of Mr Ed!
You should put in two crank out windows to ventilate and get fresh air on nice days. Love watching you work.
I was one of those who exclaimed at your not building a roof over the deck, and I surely told you so! So, I understand the need to destroy the face of the house to correct that mistake. We live and, hopefully, learn. Mind you, I have some reservations about the design of the addition regarding snowfall, roof shedding, and snowbank build-up. But, you kind of backed yourselves into that corner when you planted the original house so close to the bank behind. Maybe you can acquire and install a second-hand jet dryer from a motor speedway to get rid of the snow which will build up in front of the addition's glass door! .Watched Mr. Ed ALL the time! 1961 to 66, in black and white. Which didn't matter because we did not have a color TV at the time - EVERYthing was in black and white! As for the finger that keeps leaking, cauterization is the answer! Get out the biggest soldering iron you have, the soldering tip on a Bernz-O-Matic torch would be perfect, heat that sucker up red hot, and hold it on the finger for five seconds. Disclaimer - it may hurt a little until you pass out. But there's a flip side (at least one) for every coin! Have that baby, missy, before it has you!
Yes, grew up watching Mr. Ed, can't wait to see baby 2.
Pictures on their Instagram.
Allie, you always capture the most beautiful views of nature!
Remember Mr Ed well. Loved that show. Thank you so much for sharing your Reno with us. Looking forward to the arrival of the newest member of your family. Love little Leo. Well done.
Oh yes, Mr. Ed was one of my favorite TV shows as a child. I've always had a passion for horses. Now you'll have a room with a beautiful view. I see another window revision soon.
Iam 70 also and remember very well Mr Ed.
That area is above the kitchen, plus the stove by the stairs. You need an egress window in the loft for an escape route for safety. An Awning egress window will still give you the view.
You’re not crazy…you’re brave!
Well when you miss a week I think we will know what's going on Baby time!
Heck yea. Mr Ed was the bomb back in the day of black & white TV ... 50's to 60's era. Yep. I'm old!
Can't wait for the new baby episode! Windows look great still! Frames the landscape view nicely
Mr. Ed was awesome and so are you guys!
I loved Mister Ed. The talking horse and Wilber I watched him every day back in the 1960s ❤️
I’m 67 and loved watching Mr. Ed!
Wow!!! Mr. Ed was a show I watched every weekend as a child…and the introduction song was Have You Ever Heard Of A Talking Horse!!!👠🚌👠
I’m 70 and the Famous Mr Ed was a definite hit in our home!
I definitely watched the Mr. Ed reruns as a kid. Loved that show.
I’m not sure why y’all would want a window that doesn’t open at all. That seems so unsafe. What if that window became the only way out of the room?
I definitely remember Mr. Ed. I'm 78, so my kids were around for that show. I'd never heard about the peanut butter process. Thanks. I learned something else new!
I'm in my mid-eighties, and I loved Mr. Ed as a child. Regarding your finger injury, get some "New-Skin". It will keep out germs, help you heal, and stop the bleeding.
Well I was born in 56 so I watched it and I can still singing this song.
Watched Mr. Ed when he first came on. Loved him. Grew old and got my own horses. They don’t speak English but they certainly communicate very well. Loved the show. You guys are doing great.
Of course I remember Mr Ed and Wilbur who was an architect working out of his very nice barn.
Yep I watched it all the time growing up! We love you guys and your channel!
Ahhh, Mr. Ed. That was way before you were born. I'm 63 and I remember the show when I was a very young girl in the 60s
A horse is a horse, of course!! Widow opening looks great!
Mr Ed was actually taught to move his lips. They used a fish line at first. I loved that show as a little girl
Thank you Trent, for letting us know how they got Mr. Ed to look like he was talking!! Never realized that peanut butter was involved. :) Grew up watching that show … 😊 Great job on all that’s been accomplished!!
Yes, I am almost 72 and I remember Mr.Ed
It's too late now but in the future, you should cover the vent opening to keep debris from falling in during construction or in this case deconstruction.
Watched Mr Ed all the time as a child. Loved the show.
I remember watching the reruns of Mr Ed. As a kid I loved it.
I remember 😊Mr. Ed: I think that was the 70's. My everyone enjoyed that show.
The loft would be better for your office than a play area for children. The half wall is still so dangerous for children.
Loved Mr Ed! I'm 69 yrs old.
Oh yes, one of our favorite shows.
Yep watched a few reruns of Mr. Edd. Congratulations on the birth of baby number two!! I can hardly wait to see him
Surely all upstairs habitable rooms must have some form of fire escape window ie one that opens!
We remember Mr. Ed. A horse is a horse of course ofcourse
4:19 I know she’s since birthed, but my gosh she must be in pain. Swollen, throbbing, lactating to the point of exhaustion. It’s incredible what her body can do! Hats off to our favorite milky momma ❤️
Great teamwork makes the process so much better, you guys are fast!
Yes, I watched Mr. Ed. Thank you for telling me how they got the horse to move its mouth at the right time. I didn’t know that one so thank you. But I am 75 so I watched a lot of old stuff when I was a kid and it was in black-and-white and you had to get up, change the tuner on the TV remotes. I was the remote to get up and change the station. In fact, we only had three channels when I was a kid and in Hawaii it was definitely only three. On Saturday it was all cartoons in the morning. On Sunday, it was all church stuff All day Sunday. Just saying you didn’t have a choice in Hawaii when I was there in 1969 and 68. Saturday and Sunday they made the decision you were going to watch
Loved Mr. Ed!
Thank goodness for Grayson and Brandon.
I am 77 and I LOVED Mr Ed!
Really surprised the original architect didn’t bring up all these issues during the original design!
Excellent idea perfect engineering architectural progression into the building. That’s what it was from the beginning. Building the house in the mountains of Utah.
Absolutely, I remember the talking horse, MR. ED. loved that old time shows. Allie, you looked like the baby has dropped, any day now.!!!
I remember Mr. Ed.. I Dream of Jeannie, and all the way back to The Milton Berle Show
I think initially the reason that room did not need opening windows is was claimed as a loft or at least maybe the inspector thought that because there wasn't a closet. If it's going to be a bedroom it's against code to not have opening windows.
I think about you every day now...waiting for you to go into labor. You got this, woo-hoo!! God bless always🤩
Baby was born a couple weeks ago. Pictures on their Instagram.
Should do a upper deck to wrap around to the new addition 😊
No way I watched Mr. Ed, that freaked me out. I was one years old when it was created (1961), and by the time I was three, I saw it and refused to watch it because we had horses, and I knew for sure ours didn't talk.
Mr Ed was a wonderful show
Mr. Ed. First episode aired Jan. 1961. I watched it all the time!
Loved Mr. Ed😊
I haven't heard of "Mr. Ed" in a long time, brings back the memories.💙😃
Love Mr. Ed. Very old show. Google says 1966. I was alive then. Young, but alive. Love your channel!! Can't wait till baby is born. Love Allie. She is my hero
Allie!!!!!
Give it up. Set that baby freeeee!!!!!!! 😅
Watched Mr.Ed growing up too.
Definitely remember watching Mr. Ed on Nick at Night when I was a teen!
🎶 A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed. 🎶
Big windows are really nice, especially with the view you have up in Utah high country.
Trent? Gloves! Mr. Ed absolutely!
Loved Mr. Ed, but never knew about the peanut butter! 😁
Ooooouch cutting that up hurt to watch, but change is GOOD. Yall got this!
Because of Mr Ed. I ended of buying horse and started a ranch here in Fl.
I will remember the show Mr. Ed, loved the show
I was 9😢y/o when Mr Ed aired. I liked Mr Ed very much. Poor Wilber was always in trouble from his antics. I enjoy when I see reruns on.
Willllberrr! Mr Ed was a great show. Those Windows should open it possible.
Yes I watched it and loved that horse.
Put plastic on the inside as well and you will get less thermal transfer.
That new opening frames the view so nicely. Also, try some nuskin liquid bandage Trent. Works better for when you need to use your hands vs a bandaid.
Yes , I remember Mr. Ed !!
Of course, I remember I’m 72 and that was part of my life!!
I think the windows upstairs are definitely an upgrade. It’s so hard to know what works best until you live in it for a while.
"Structural Member"-an awesome band name!
I not only remember Mr. Ed, but I remember the song......I'm old!
Loved Mr Ed. I’m 71
Mister Ed was one of the old shows. My grandpa would watch. I have a lot of fond memory sitting there watching Mister Ed with my grandpa we would visit.
Ah yes, Mr. Ed. Back when TV was still a smiling experience and a family event.
I liked watching "Mr Ed".
I wonder if you could effectively slough that portion of the roof from your bedroom windows when it's all done.
You might want to check if the building code REQUIRES an opening window for use as a fire exit?
I’m 73 and I remember Mr. Ed very well.
“A horse is a horse, of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse, of course, that is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed!”
