Tbh Ell’s makeup actually looks good. It’s kind of similar with the normal look she does with the lips etc, just more coverage but it doesn’t even look too cakey compared to Syd’s makeup and the lady seemed lovely
honestly, i dont like how they did the makeup. looks too cakey and 'messy'.

ok, cakey make up aside.. but nobody can say they aren't real. They just worked with Mac and they still give their honest opinion about the look. I think that's amazing and very rare! xx

I had a makeover for free on the Fenty counter in Leeds Harvey Nichols and honestly I couldn’t thank the lady enough! I only asked for a foundation tester and left with a full face of makeup for free! She was so so lovely and left with so many products purely because she was a lovely lady!😁good customer service is so important!!!

Thoughts: I’m an MUA for 12 years, I’ve worked for MAC in the past as a freelance artist and Your experience there doesn’t surprise me at all. MAC is very inconsistent with their artists, they train their employees but don’t really train their freelancers. So your chances of actually getting a good artist are like 50/50. Ell’s artist i thought did a great job, Syd’s looked NOTHING like the pic lol. Sis didn’t even do a winged liner! That was the main focus on the pic. Also as an artist when people bring me a pic of kim k it doesn’t bother me at all, I like having inspo pics.
This was a really great honest vid and definitely a true portrayal of MAC lol.
I get so scared to do other people’s makeup but after watching these videos I feel I shouldn’t be worried cus these women are in this job and can’t do it that amazingly ngl 😂
Tbh every time I go into MAC they ALWAYS colour match me differently so if Syd told the makeup artist her shade then I don’t understand why she wouldn’t just use that shade 🤦🏻♀️ I think eyeshadow wise I’m not a fan of eithers. Ell’s looks better but I still wouldn’t say it was the best. You guys should definitely do more of these at different makeup counters.

If it was someone’s first time getting their make up done and the make up artist was off with them and didn’t try to talk to them or put effort in it would make them think everyone is like that and put them off having it done professionally again tbf
My stepmam had a really bad experience with her makeup artist on her wedding day. And yeah, it really does have an effect on your mood. Imagine not feeling beautiful on your wedding day because of your makeup artist. It’s easier to be polite to a paying customer than bitchy.
Everytime I get a notification saying that Syd and Ell have posted a video I get SO EXCITED!! 😆♥️ I cant wait to watch!! You girls always make me laugh and smile with your videos 💕

Mac never colour match my foundation properly so every time they do my make up is the wrong shade as they put nw15 but not nc15 and my shade is nc15

How about a bigger challenge these makeup counters by requesting a no makeup makeup look and or Korean/east;Asia look. So far lots of videos of this getting my makeup done at ____ but all seem similar, but give it a twist with creating something else instead of the typical glam or Kim Kardashian or instagram look.

I use to work for MAC > Makeup Art Cosmetics. 7 yrs with them, loved it....but my manager sucked! I've done hundreds of faces. You two should now, go to a MAC Pro store to compare! The "better artists" work there.

i went to mac the other day and i wanted a foundation that actually matched my skin colour instead of my skin when its tanned and the lady didn't even test it, she just put the bottle to my cheek and said "this one will do" hahaha I really didn't want to buy it but I did just because i felt so awks
i hate that, i always feel pressured to buy even if i don’t like the product
They don’t do that at majority of the stores!
I work for Mac!! That’s fucking awful first of all we always have to test at least 3 colours on the face and if you ever feel pressured just ask for a sample instead of wasting your money :)
loool i hate being in public or no makeup in public so if the person who was doing my makeup didn’t talk i’d feel so uncomfortable and want to leave and probs cry from lowkey panicking. i hate when people are like that, it’s part and package of the job isn’t it to talk to customers, i work in a residential home and had to learn customer service, you’d think an mua would too😂🤦🏼♀️
