I paid 800 dollars for my car 7 years ago. I still drive it, and have became wealthy because of it. The poorer i act, the more freedom and wealth i seem to accumulate.
I worked for a Company for 23 years, during that period I paid off all my debts - mortgage, car, loans and started a small business. When the Co. retrenched hundreds of us just over 2yrs ago now, even though we got a substantial severance, most of the ppl. were so much in debt that they were drowning despite the severance. They had to start from scratch. This was because so many of them lived above their means as we were making a decent salary and never thought the bubble would burst. On the other hand, by the time we got re-trenched, I was debt-free, had quite a decent savings, my entire severance was mine and now I had 2 successful businesses running and I am now self-employed. All because I chose to sacrifice early, so I could live the lifestyle I want now at 45yrs.

Sincerely this really really touched my heart. Thank you for this comment and if there's any content you'd like me to talk about be sure to leave it here! I'll get it done!
I will never understand why people are so insecure that they feel the need to have attention from people out in public they do not even know. Instead of being dishonest by projecting a false image of yourself, just go about your life in an honest way. Just be real.
People just don't want to look poor. For many, poverty is humiliation. People are simply afraid that those who look decent will stop communicating with them and only the poor will be their friends.
I’m a single mother and I had to start over after a bad break up and I decided there is no reason for us to move out of my grandparents house until I have at least 3 passive incomes and my savings and emergency savings triple my checking… and when I started my business I don’t tell anyone how much I’m making and I don’t buy anything expensive because I have bigger plans that will give me peace and longevity
I live in Detroit Michigan where I bought my house dilapidated for 3500 made repairs for about 10k, Purchased two used work trucks And three other used vehicles, for under 10,000. I do most of the work myself One of them, and that allows me to Keep so much more money in my pocket
If you're still making payments on something, you don't really own it until it's paid off... 😊 Letting go of the attachment of what other people think eliminates a lot of unecessary stress. After my husband passed, I waited a year before making any big decisions. After a year, I paid every debt off and I made the decision I was going to retire at 55 and have happily done just that. When you have no debt, you gain freedom.
I've been living below my means since my divorce; made back my lost wealth, and I do spend money on my hobbies and past times. That said, when I go out and about, I live the grey man lifestyle, I dress to fit in and blend in with my surroundings. I have a house, and boat, at the beach, on a small island that is a tourist destination, my house about 500 yards from the Atlantic, and I meet or exceed all of the sixes many women say they want. But I dress like a surfer bum, ride my old bicycle everywhere, no visible signs of wealth or status (no watch, no jewelry, old phone), and I pay for things in cash, small bills and loose change. I'm invisible to nearly everyone, including women.
@@ResonatedReadings I probably would have with my old ways. It’s funny you say that. I just went back the other day and apologized to all the women of my past who I hurt or was disrespectful to. lol
Yes especially around these times. People looking for who they can take advantage of. I started dressing down and wearing shades. People are always staring at me
this in my 2nd video of you. just wanted to say good work. your videos I've seen really seem like they were made from someone with more subs , meaning i think you made some quality content with premium feels. good stuff man keep it up :D
Great video once again man. Found you through some of your Japan videos, but I'm glad you switched to more general life videos. Great stuff, best of luck!

In my country, when you have a car and even if it is a simple car, people will still consider you to be rich and will be coming to you always for help. I mean, monetary help which is very bad. If you are not able to help, they assume you had and did not want to help as if you owe them
I lease a very nice mercedes Benz GLE-350 and love it except for the payment. Im about to buy a used Nissan Pathfinder, Possibly the most boring car ever but no more lease payment.
On the other hand life is too short what’s the point to work daily like a dog if I cannot drive the car I want or living in a house that I love? Then go live at a village and stress about nothing
You dont bave to live poor and sacrifice your life up to the throat for every dime! You just have to be reasonable with your wealth and live responsibily. Life is short, so you need to enjoy and use it as you can!
So Happy To Have Found Your Channel! Some healthy decisions my husband and I make are: 1. Getting my husband to $103k/yr annual income. 2. Staying up to date on my tech skills just in case I'll need to re-enter the workforce, and 3. Preparing for Stay-At-Home-motherhood by leaving the work force and starting my own creative businesses in the meantime. 4. Until we can afford a home in our expensive city, we decided to only spend 15% of his take-home pay/income on rent. 5. This freed-up income allows us to become debt-free by the end of 2025. Yay to no more car payments also! We were once in a hole. Middle Class hell! But taking action on our mutual mindset shift helps. And soon, we'll be ready to buy assets with the extra income.
Hello, I stumbled upon your video, and I really enjoyed the content. It speaks a lot of common sense. I live in government housing, and look after my Dad. I already have to tighten the belt as I am on a pension. But there are still many ways to tighten it even more. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 near the ocean. I have a lot of nature all around me. I just have to take a simple walk to see such beauty. It's beautiful, simple and it's free. Looking after my aging Dad for so many years can be stressful, so the ocean and nature walks help with my stress levels as well. Instead of buying a coffee at the beach Cafe, I can take my own. Instead of buying some beers on Friday night at the local club, I can watch a movie at home on Netflix. I hate living pay cheque to pay cheque with no contingency money in case things go wrong. When things go wrong, I have to borrow, and the anxiety of always being behind is terrible. I don't have a car any more, but I hope to buy a cheap car to make my life a bit easier. If I make some changes, I will chip away at getting a cheap car. I know it will take time, but it starts with one step. Thank you for your wise words. I am a new subscriber. I look forward to watching your videos. Take care, Kerri ❤ 😊
All these tips are awesome, thanks 😊 In my city in Australia and in lots of places, including Japan, there are amazing thrift stores. So it's quite easy to wear good quality pre-loved clothes. I work in retail and a few customers have super blingy watches that I think are gold plus decorated with what looks like actual diamonds. I'm always thinking "but why???". It just looks super flashy and weird to me...
Great content. 😊 I also think people tend to look at the minimum payment or installment payments (like a car loan) instead of the impact entire debt to determine if they can afford things. That mindset also hinders wealth building.
Being Wealthy and Looking Wealthy are two different things. You can do both at the same time. But most people can only do one or the other. Some people cannot do either.

“Looking poor” always been my style less is more and plus I don’t like clothes and if I do wear clothes it’s all black year round. Still driving my Toyota paid off while building savings and getting out student loan debt so I can invest next.
I will not look poor when i am not poor, but im willing to look poorer than im worth if that makes sense. Really why would anyone want to look poor if they are not poor?
Let’s consider not stereotyping poor people when it comes to how people dress. The phrase “looking like your poor” sounds offensive even though I’m not poor. Maybe you should consider stating just the facts, which is you don’t spend a lot of money on clothing or articles.
I paid 800 dollars for my car 7 years ago. I still drive it, and have became wealthy because of it. The poorer i act, the more freedom and wealth i seem to accumulate.
