Went today and got the code from the dealership to fix the anti- theft/ radio. Free, no charge. Suggestion: ask them to print the code for future, if you don't find it on the side of your glove compartment (which is usually there.).
Thank you! Bought this car from someone else and didn’t want to call a dealership. website worked perfect and I kept messing up my order of operations until watching this
Thanks very much man. My folks bought a car like this about 2-3 months ago but we couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t let us use the radio. Thank you very much 👍🏽
Do what he instructs and in the glove department there should be your car guide from there find the serial number from inside the manual then put the numbers by the presets it should work
I was so happy when I found this...not so much after I watched it. 2 sets of numbers AND letters came up for a total of 10 (including a u L and 9). How would I enter these? I have a 2005 Honda Pilot.
That is your serial number, you have to go to the website in the description, verify information with the VIN and they will immediately give you your unlock code.
@@mp3803 Thanks for replying. I actually found the code on a sticker located on the inside back flap of the owners manual. (Thank God for people who hang on to stuff like that!).
@@TangledNana mine used to be on a card that I lost. I decided when I had to go through the process that I would help others since there was no info on the 2005 Pilot.
I got this to work the first time with the code and 2 hours later it beeped and said code again while I was driving down the road. Now it will not show the serial number when I do the 1-6-power combo
You were no help cause we didn’t understand how to put the code in as like #7 wasn’t on the key pads so it took a while to figure out. Why hide how you entered the code we will never even cross paths how would someone know what your car looks like ?
I'm not inviting a thief to steal my radio and giving them the code to activate it... lol. Plenty of others were helped so I can care less about your opinion. At least I took the time to it... didn't have to. You are welcome.
@@mp3803 I appreciate the video but have to at least agree on that point...it WAS a little silly. Can't imagine anyone wanting to steal a stock radio to begin with, let alone track down a UA-camr to do it. Decent stereos can be had for around 60 bucks these days. Nobody wants your stock radio lol
I have a 2003 Honda pilot. It don't work for me either. I've been without a radio for months and have been trying this ever since. I've even unhooked the battery.. still no luck. Seems to work for everyone else.
Finally got tired of no music. I watched a few UA-cam videos on how to take the radio out since the only thing you need on the Honda website to get the code for free is the VIN and radio serial number. I don't have tools I just used a pocket knife to pop the plastic off at where the videos showed the clips and ran it along the edges. I used a screw driver to be able to pull the radio out just enough to see the serial number on the top of the radio. I didn't unhook any wires like in the videos because I wasn't taking it all the way out and then I just popped the plastic back in place. Nothing broke which is what I was scared of and why I didn't try before. I can't believe I waited this long 🤦
Codes are radio specific, it would do no good for me to post a code. This tells you how to retrieve your code. Follow the instructions and the comment section, it will help you.

Thank you so much, you really helped me and saved me so much anxiety from dealing with the dealership. I really appreciated your video.🙏🏽💛
Is the AUX anyway related? Must I get the AntiTheft off for both to be usable?
Anti-theft has to be off first
Great video! Clear and concise! Thank you!
I called my local dealer and it was free thank you
Hey Bobby…. Remember to mention the letters are not part of the Serial #. Almost ran out free tries.

@@mp3803 Your info was definitely helpful, thanks a bunch!
I tried this and is not giving me the serial number please advise and of course THANK YOU
If you are following the instructions to the T there should be no issue. What is it doing or what's happening when you try it?
How do I put in a 9?
Thank you I just fixed mine
Open your glove box and it’s on the left side 5 digit code
I got this to work the first time with the code and 2 hours later it beeped and said code again while I was driving down the road. Now it will not show the serial number when I do the 1-6-power combo
Does it show anything at all?
Bobby D it reads code and then error
Have you tried to unplug the battery to reset the radio back to code status?
I have not. I will try that tonight
amandakatheryn, any luck?
This worked amazing!!! Thank youuuu!!!!!
How to do number zero?
There shouldn't be a zero in the code

Who is going to steal an old radio?
Thank you!!!

I have never seen a 7... lol. That would be a question to ask a service department unless someone here in the comments section knows...
