many of the side canyons are equally as interesting as the main canyon . i use to camp on the edge of the canyon at the half way point from the colorado river to the beginning of the canyon near the top . we used this half way point as a base camp to do day trips to the side canyons . one time i discovered some ancient indian ruins with pottery shards still on the ground and a climbing rope that went down to the main canyon . it would take years to discover the entire area . the silence there is 'loud' . it's so still that you can hear a bird flapping its wings as it passes by .
I haven’t explored as much as you, but you could definitely spend a lifetime seeing everything! It’s on my list to do again but with more time to explore all there is! Crazy how much life the canyon has too. Ill have to see if I can find those ruins

Yes it was lower dark canyon. The trail down wasnt easy lol
