Excellent video , You provide explanation for everybody even for dummies like me.I am not a musician but I bought Genos2 and I love it.Your tutorial is so easy to understand. Thank You !!! My best regards ! Krys
A really great video again. Thank you very much, Paul. What I liked most was your sentence "don't go for the obvious". I also like to play songs with styles that are not so commonly used for this title. And that's why I think that nobody needs expansions packs. We have in about 800 styles each of which having 4 variations. And we have 8 parts in each style which we can use or not. And as you explained we have the Multipads. That's plenty enough. Keep going, I like your content very much.
There are many yt-ers making videos for clicks/views where they just blame yamaha for G2 saying it is nothing more than a g1 with some extra styles.. And they are wrong... All the additional features don't seems like a game changer but I bet on that if you use those features you will miss all of them on a g1. Also the dx7 engine alone is a huuuge addon in my opinion. Yamaha should pay you for making such tutorials, with more of these they could avoid the false informations and bad reputation on the Genos2. It is a big shame this video has only a few thounsand of views.... The false alarm bullshit G2 videos have 10-1000 times more. Anyway, thanks for the great video please carry on! You got a new subscriber Sir!
Absolutely great, Paul. I’m getting more information from you, than what I am getting from all of the Yamaha channels. Great stuff 🎉🎉Thankyou so much , mick s.
This was a huge step for you. Because the Tyros 1 was the first keyboard with no memory for additional samples, the last one without Super Articulation. I could add all Premium voices and Expansion packs and there are so many improvements. You get the Super Articulation introduced by Tyros 2, Super Articulation 2 and guitar mode, introduced by Tyros 3, choir phrases and flash ROM and audio multi pad, introduced by Tyros 4 or 5, Ensemble mode as introduced by Tyros 5 and audio drums, as introduced by PSR S950 and later offered in Tyros 5 and Revo Drums, introduced with Genos. And you have 2 additional single outputs.
Paul, thank you for this session. Loved how you wrapped it up. I agree. For me, I have a blast with my arranger playing jazz standards in modern styles. One side note, I still can’t believe Yamaha doesn’t have smooth sound transitions on the Genos2. It’s why I bought the Korg instead. Thank you again.
Thanks I've got a question please I always used gem keyboards because I used to make karaoke Nights as well; Now the ❓ is does the Genos 2 has a harddrive that keeps midifiles lyrics mp3s karaoke and stuff like that Thanks
Great! Great ! One question : Is there a limit in the number of wav we can put on the Genos ? I have 1400 wav files that represent 2510 Mb. So they can fit in 3073 mb. But is there a limit for the number of wav ? It is called TOC : table of content....Is the limit 1000 ? 2000 4000 ? Because if i want to import my wav packs in Genos, i have to put 2510 mb in 3000 mb space. This is easy. But if there is a table limit , for example 1000, i won't be able to load all of my wav files packs despite being less that 3072 mb.... I know korg Wavestate has 4096 mb of flash, but can only fit in 2000 wav files. Roland fantom 8000 wav in 4096 mb. Thanks a lot !
!0 minutes into this video, you talk about using 3 notes instead of the bresk button to get just drums. And you follow it up by saying that it works on any Genos! I can't get it to work on my Genos 1. All I get is the normal chord change. So what have you set up to achieve this function?
Reading the instruction manual becomes obviously more and more less common 😅 - so yes Thx for your great Tipps 🙌

Same jump here, just moved from Tyros2 to Genos2 :). Have fun with your new instrument!

Unfortunately, the sound produced from the speakers, I do hope, changes it directly from the audio output 😢😢😢😢
OK

You have to play 3 following notes, eg. C-Csharp-D
@@FransOnline I see it works with any 3 consecutive notes, thank you
You have to set AI fingered, that the accompaniment mutes everything beside drums and percussion
It is extremely annoying having to wait two minutes for “the show to start” please just get to it!
I need time to check the live stream is working and check sound levels. If you are watching on catch up why not just fast forward the first two mins.!
