When this song came out, we were just kids and my country is more into basketball than football/soccer. But this song was still played EVERYWHERE(internet wasn't really as accessible back then as it is now so we knew nothing). It was SOO ICONIC and I didn't even know it was an official song of the world cup, heck I didn't even knew what the world cup was back then lol. Back then, people jammed to this song even from toddlers to adults. You'd see them do that had thingy dance move in the chorus. So yeah, I'd say it's the most ICONIC world cup ever since it's the only one I and probably any other non-soccer fan know of.
