As an avid ITX PC builder of many years now, I’m used to unscrewing cases to fit components in so a case like this isn’t a concern for me 😇👍. I think in more ….. student environment like kids pc, uni dorm etc, this case would sit well in a young persons apartment / studio. The AIO did well imo, considering it’s trying to cool a 13th Gen i9 cpu ✊🥰💪….. although tbh, in gaming the i9 isn’t too bad in terms of temps …… and if you’re buying an K-sku cpu, thrn your probably going to tweak / undervolt the settings reducing temps further.
I like the idea to install the MB before the front, back, top, bottom panels are attached because I have very large hands and it can be tough to work in compact ATX cases for me.
What a nice concept, kudos to Cooler master for re-inventing the PC. I like that color very much. I wonder if they will release pink as well (supporting the cancer research). Thanks for the vid!!

Great Video and nice case! Also, the audio quality and volume of your voice in this video is much better than most other you tube chanels and I mean some of the biggest tech tubers. This is a really important factor if one watches your videos on their cellphone or laptop - as I do.
it's refreshing to see front-mounted-PSU cases nowadays, years back I got Fractal's Node 304 and it's still the perfect layout ITX case, in a similar way PSU is put in front of the motherboard along the gpu :)
@@TechTesters not easy I agree, but doable, case frames are "hollow" so they can hide most cables, of the parts, Noctua NH-U14S cooler could fit, and EVGA 980Ti Classified fit too, biggest issue is lack of clearance for multiple 2.5" SSD cables, but there are some 3D-print mods for custom cages now :))
Nice denim. I have a Fractal Design Define 7 XL Black, really nice case, and not as massive as I at first thought, just pleasingly roomy. Even though its not an "airflow case", it does fine with its 7950X
Hi Nada. Nice to see you again and watching your informative videos. When building a new PC, one of my grandchildren always visits me. I know that in the assembly instructions, I'll see the phrase, "So simple, a child could assemble it." Building it as a test bench makes a lot of sense. An excellent review would show the advantages of a test bench and the available ones. I use one, and it's the best PC purchase I have made.
I like the modular building system and it is something new. When I get the chance I would to build it for somebody, but personally it is a bit to tiny for my sense of taste. Looks fitting for juveniles!
it's a good looking case, though i personally prefer 2 mesh side panels instead of 1 TG 1 mesh. i could use another handle on the top but then the front i/o has to move
This case makes me miss the larger, cube-style cases. I had one of those large Thermaltake Core cases a few years ago, and while I'd argue that it was *too big*, it did provide the capability to mount the intake at the front and two radiators on the top, which allowed for a good airflow path. I use a Fractal Meshify 2 XL right now, and to have two radiators, I have to put one in the front, which means I'm throwing warm air into the case -- not ideal. If a case like this was just about 5" (~12.5cm) wider, I think I could do a lot more with it. On that note, I've been tempted to buy two of them to see if I can rig them together (likely side-by-side) to give me more of a cube-style case. I know they released some 3D renders of the case for some 3D printing contests, so maybe I can use those to mess around without spending $200.
I'm doing a custom arrangement inside this case, and used the step model of the case they provided in the competition (on Printables) to get a rough idea of the layout. Essentially, I'm moving the power supply to the bottom front. A 280mm long GPU (e.g. Sapphire Pulse 7800XT) just fits behind the standard ATX power supply. I can then just cram in a 200mm fan at the top front of the case, although it's not up against the mesh but set back a bit because of the front IO cables interferring. I'll fit two 140 fans in the bottom as intakes to the GPU, and maybe two fans on the side swing bracket thing, to pull hot air directly out from the GPU through the mesh panel on the 'left' side of the case. This way everything gets a direct flow of cool intake air (hopefully). Just need to model up and 3D print the custom brackets. I did end up buying the case to get a better idea of fit (it just arrived today), but I will buy my components later after Nvidia releases their refresh models, prices will go down generally hopefully.
Really great build and review. Pretty impressed with the temps as well. My only concern are the dust filters. They seem difficult to remove for cleaning.
@@tikishark1 KitGuru laid into them about those dust filters because they didn't like the airflow and Coolermaster said they'd upgrade them in a future update (no timescale yet). Which is nice.
any additional fans will help with temp control? will you be able to fit any additional fans below, front, and/or side of the 4080 to increase pressure?
Build it yourself case are very interesting as building is fun for me and thus looks like a great option, even better when you dont need to bend pannels like some competitors. Thanks for sharing with us
For me building is a nightmare. I remember watching a build with same case+motherboard combo that I have , and it looked so simple , but when I started to build it was a nightmare. I constantly had a filling that I will damage the motherboard connectors and those same connections were extremely unpleasant when pressed against my skin. And they just wouldn't fit inside an IO shield to the point I was tempted to remove the shield altogether. And instaling CPU cooler? That was a final nail in the coffin so to speak. So I found PC service, brought it there and they did it for me. And it was quite cheap.
I love the idea of this case so much. Easy to build in, easy to mod when you have to and good modularity. But - and I know this is very subjective - why is it so ugly? I would really like to see a case with perforation that is not making it look like a swiss cheese/apple design look a like. But cooler master is on the ball lately, NR200, this and those juicy SFX PSUs ... keep it coming CM!
It definitely wouldn't be hard for them to design some different looking panels, you can just click them on/off anyway. And I love that PSU as well. 1100 Watts yet it's tiny.
@@TechTesters Yes, I hope they add extra panels in the future because other than the design the case is great. CM have done a lot for the SFX market in the last years, especially with the new generation of power hungry GPU's those SFX PSUs are very welcome.

Flat pack cases present maybe a unique opportunity to give us an overbuilt product in the future. More solid slabs of aluminum instead of the thinner gauge metal thats folded over. Cases in general and regardless of price are still kind of flimsy. Hopefully a flat pack style would offset some of that cost and maybe a $180 flat pack case made of all aluminum slabs could be in the future.
Seems like a neat case and I have no problem putting a case together with screws when I'm already in build mood. Avoiding to ship giant boxes that contain metal boxes that just contain air seems like a win / win in terms of shipping cost and environmental footprint. But what if I want to change something? Let's say the PSU was bad, I get a replacement of the same model and I just want to switch out the box. Cables can stay the way they are. Is that even possible or would I have to rip apart the whole thing again? I'm also interested in the idea of a case with the connections coming out the top so that I could push the system right into a corner. The only thing I'd be worried about in that config would be the airflow, specifically if the feet raise the case high enough so that the front (now bottom) intake isn't impacted too much. Great video overall ... even if the choice of color is incorrect, obviously. 🤪
I'll take a closer look at PSU swaps when I change the build in the coming days. I think it's easy enough to reach but I want to be 100% sure. Why is their website so bad? You go and look at the case, and there's 8 cm of menu at the top on my 28" 4K screen. At least a quarter of the website, it's bonkers. The review was helpful - hadn't seen the bit about laying it out as a test bench in other reviews. That's why I was on the website looking at it... where they don't show that as an option. Seriously. Who designed this website? Even the downloadable product sheet doesn't show it, but does show more than the website. *bangs head on desk*
I've had a background desire to build my own case for a while.....from scratch. It's because I want stuff that nobody makes. But it's also a lot of work so yeah, it hasn't happened yet

I like the colored panels, they will certainly appeal to a young person. The headphone holder is a real nice touch, too. Do the parts have sharp edges? literally shipped this to Hawaii, flew with my motherboard,cpu, psu and gpu, and plan to collapse it and fly home with it. fits my zotac extreme airo 4090, and the thermals are great with two fans at the bottom, a 240aio on top, the included argb fan in the back, and the top and bottom dust shields removed. sooooo worth it.
It just moves the caching from the DRAM cache to the system memory, so it shouldn't really affect the actual durability of the drive at all (or at least not significantly)
Excellent video as usual, Nada is such a natural presenter I do find it odd to get excited what a pc looks like though. They're all just boxes that do a job, never understood why they need to have bells & whistles
Iam a big fan of reverse ATX since I need the window on the right else its pointless for my desk layout, so far only bequiet had modular cases, I hope we get more of these also in full tower or middle tower format
One irony of this video is... if you install the PSU into the Qube 500, you have quite or almost no space to toggle the mode switch... I have assembled a mid-tier PC (5600G+RX7600, ITX board.) from the parts I had and the case itself is the PC is doing quite fine. Of course my CPU cooler is Wraith Prism and the PBO is on, hits 95 degree C with 4.4 GHz while running Prime95 Small torture test for all cores. So, yeah, this case isn't too bad although the PSU mounting scheme is somewhat distasteful for me. Perhaps, if they allow PSU mount at the bottom side, It would be much better for my case.
Question for anyone to answer. Can I swap the back and front panel? I have my PC on my right the ONLY reason I have no case is because for it to have ports facing monitor means I see the back of the case. If I can flip the panels and it still works then this case is perfect for me.
You mean the left and the right side? This case does allow you do go reverse ATX, so you can have the glass on the left side. Just remember your build will be upside down.

Yeah, kinda, but then again just about every manufacturer does this as NAND supply is very volatile. Kingston's example you refer to was genuinely scummy, costing down right after better quality products were sent to reviewers. Fortunately there is a lot of attention to that sort of behaviour now from reviewers, so I don't expect brands (especially larger ones) to get away with that anymore.
Cooler Master x Ikea All that's missing are the one or two missing screws. :p Jokes aside, I like the concept but it stumbles a little in practise. The instructions look a little confusing too. Cooler Master are saving assembly costs but is that being reflected in the pricing or are they charging at full price? The white and pastel colours definitely looks good, though!
@@TechTesters I do also believe something else has to be neglected like GPU size in order to fit it. I only have two 3.5 inch drives and I could spend extra money on bigger SSDs to replace them. But I am still interested in how exactly they'll fit 4, lol. I did find their build video after your video since you mentioned those QR codes to their build guide. They don't show where to put any sata drives in that video sadly. I have also asked them about it but sadly no reply yet (perhaps I should find customer support email or something). Where are the fans in the front? This is not quite how it should be... Ok, the graphics are bigger but the fans in the front are a must if anyone wants to have cool components. Which means the graphics card is big for that case.
Oh wonderful. Coolermaster is saving money on assembly and shipping yet price is high to customer. Scumbag profiteering. I hope this case will be giant flop. Also non easy removable mesh is just stupid. Nothing like making cleaning harder to user :D Luckily there are much better cases in lower prices then this cash grab. Its weird that you didn't mention that issue.
@@mikep9418 its a small case. In that price range you get cases with lot more features and total weight ergo more material used. They are just inflating profits. Its a case that consumers and reviewers should despise. Then again we can see that many reviewers are just paid and they dont care.

Not sure I like the PSU up front and on top. Seems like that might make the case a bit top heavy and prone to tipping. Also, 240/280 is really not sufficient for 13900 or 7950 CPUs.
The center of weight is pretty low and the case isn't that narrow, so it's not going anywhere. Agreed on the 13900K though, it holds but AMD is the way to go here. But 240-280 is plenty for a 7950X3D.
I am on the fence about this case...its nothing but a fancy q500l that costs more and you have to put together. The q500l has been around for like 5 years so this is not new at all. Also The color choice on the special edition is awful.
Similar design basis as the Q500L, but that one clearly had worse build quality (and an acrylic side panel) and doesn't have anywhere near the flexibility this does. So it's a bit more than just a fancy version imho. Colors will be subjective though :P
Tbh I don't know a single case where you'll completely avoid dust, getting a nice Compuclean blower and a case that's actually easy to clean is the best solution imho..
I don't think the problem with dust will be big since there is no fan that draws air into the case :/ Only those who throw out... so it enters passively
@@adonromadhon3630 In my fcase, the most dust collects where the fan blows that draws in air, but that part of the case is closed, so the air from one part of the sheet calms down and the dust slowly settles.
Because some people like myself want powerful machine in a smaller form factor, compare to a regular or midsized tower that can take up too much space. 🤷🏾♂️

I'm using cases with that layout since more than a decade and since I'm doing so, I had no longer problems with dust in the case or too noisy fans - unfortunately, there are very few of those cases and even rarer are those who got that layout right, since it only makes sense, if you can mount fans in the case's bottom and have the sides sealed shut, both to provide the natural upflow of warm air. That being said, i cannot understand why there aren't more of those cases. BTW, another great layout which is pretty rare (or even extingt in modern cases) is a side-by-side cube. There's no risk of collision between PSU, hard drives/non-nvme-ssds or optical drives (yes, dear case vendors, there are still people that have a use for external 5.25"-slots) and a system in one of those cubes looks much cleaner whe it comes to cable management. i just don't understand why there's no case on the marked (nor now or in the past) that combines these two features. You could easily fit an E-ATX-system with a 340mm-graphics card, a ton of harddisks and two DVD- or BR-drives in a cube with less than 400mm (w) x 500mm (h) x 400mm (d) and have it silently air-cooled. I would buy a case like this way more likely than one of those glassy RGB-showrooms that are dominating the current marked.
@@TechTesters I had the RV01 (barely remember how it behaved when it comes to dust) and the FT02 (which I'm still using today for two systems). On one system I only have to clean on the outside sometimes, the filters twice a year and the top-fan once a year. Besides that I don't have any dust inside the case (except on unused HDD-frames - they're breaking the air-flow in the front). The other system showed no necesity of removing dust in five years - but I don't fully count that because it is located in a small server room. Maybe this is because the FT02 has a lot of small holes in the top cover, while the RV05 has fewer but bigger holes? That's one of the reasons I never changed to the FT05.
@@TechTesters They now have the Alta series that uses the same layout as the early FT and RV, but these are more "modern" (and in case of the Alta F2 rediculously overpriced). For many cases today on the marked you can choose it's color (black, white, sometimes silver) but not, if you want it with a glass panel or not. I don't understand why. What purpose does a glass panel have in a big tower that's located under my desk? It's like a hyper-shift dipped car for daily use - beautiful in some cases, sure, but there are people who don't like/want/need it. That's why I'll stick to my FT02 as long as possible because meanwhile I lost hope that there will ever be a case that fits my requirements better.

Why is their website so bad? You go and look at the case, and there's 8 cm of menu at the top on my 28" 4K screen. At least a quarter of the website, it's bonkers. The review was helpful - hadn't seen the bit about laying it out as a test bench in other reviews. That's why I was on the website looking at it... where they don't show that as an option. Seriously. Who designed this website? Even the downloadable product sheet doesn't show it, but does show more than the website. *bangs head on desk*
I've had a background desire to build my own case for a while.....from scratch. It's because I want stuff that nobody makes. But it's also a lot of work so yeah, it hasn't happened yet

Thank you so much for posting this excellent review. It really gets my attention. Do you think this case and the assembly instructions would be reasonably easy for a 10 year old child to build? I like the colored panels, they will certainly appeal to a young person. The headphone holder is a real nice touch, too. Do the parts have sharp edges? I've cut myself a few times on pre-assembled cases when I got a little too careless. Thank you once again for a high quality review.
Would you recommend the adata s70 blade. It is the cheapest ssd in my country for the ps5.

When testing thermals did you add any intake fans? Or just how it was featured in the video?
literally shipped this to Hawaii, flew with my motherboard,cpu, psu and gpu, and plan to collapse it and fly home with it. fits my zotac extreme airo 4090, and the thermals are great with two fans at the bottom, a 240aio on top, the included argb fan in the back, and the top and bottom dust shields removed. sooooo worth it.
It just moves the caching from the DRAM cache to the system memory, so it shouldn't really affect the actual durability of the drive at all (or at least not significantly)

Iam a big fan of reverse ATX since I need the window on the right else its pointless for my desk layout, so far only bequiet had modular cases, I hope we get more of these also in full tower or middle tower format
Pretty much be quiet! from what I remember, and the first Seasonic case. Definitely a good thing we get more reverse options.
One irony of this video is... if you install the PSU into the Qube 500, you have quite or almost no space to toggle the mode switch...
I have assembled a mid-tier PC (5600G+RX7600, ITX board.) from the parts I had and the case itself is the PC is doing quite fine. Of course my CPU cooler is Wraith Prism and the PBO is on, hits 95 degree C with 4.4 GHz while running Prime95 Small torture test for all cores.
So, yeah, this case isn't too bad although the PSU mounting scheme is somewhat distasteful for me.
Perhaps, if they allow PSU mount at the bottom side, It would be much better for my case.
Question for anyone to answer. Can I swap the back and front panel? I have my PC on my right the ONLY reason I have no case is because for it to have ports facing monitor means I see the back of the case. If I can flip the panels and it still works then this case is perfect for me.
You mean the left and the right side? This case does allow you do go reverse ATX, so you can have the glass on the left side. Just remember your build will be upside down.

Yeah, kinda, but then again just about every manufacturer does this as NAND supply is very volatile. Kingston's example you refer to was genuinely scummy, costing down right after better quality products were sent to reviewers.
Fortunately there is a lot of attention to that sort of behaviour now from reviewers, so I don't expect brands (especially larger ones) to get away with that anymore.

Depends on the CPU and GPU, but anything that results in 70-80 C is completely fine. Case temps I usually like to see

Jokes aside, I like the concept but it stumbles a little in practise. The instructions look a little confusing too. Cooler Master are saving assembly costs but is that being reflected in the pricing or are they charging at full price?

4 HDDs sounds rough though, unless you skip the GPU or get a tiny one.

I only have two 3.5 inch drives and I could spend extra money on bigger SSDs to replace them. But I am still interested in how exactly they'll fit 4, lol.

Where are the fans in the front? This is not quite how it should be... Ok, the graphics are bigger but the fans in the front are a must if anyone wants to have cool components. Which means the graphics card is big for that case.

Also non easy removable mesh is just stupid. Nothing like making cleaning harder to user :D Luckily there are much better cases in lower prices then this cash grab.

Other reviewers have mentioned the panels are much thicker than normal, which costs more to produce apparently.
@@mikep9418 its a small case. In that price range you get cases with lot more features and total weight ergo more material used. They are just inflating profits. Its a case that consumers and reviewers should despise. Then again we can see that many reviewers are just paid and they dont care.

Not sure I like the PSU up front and on top. Seems like that might make the case a bit top heavy and prone to tipping. Also, 240/280 is really not sufficient for 13900 or 7950 CPUs.
The center of weight is pretty low and the case isn't that narrow, so it's not going anywhere.
Agreed on the 13900K though, it holds but AMD is the way to go here. But 240-280 is plenty for a 7950X3D.

I am on the fence about this case...its nothing but a fancy q500l that costs more and you have to put together. The q500l has been around for like 5 years so this is not new at all. Also The color choice on the special edition is awful.
Similar design basis as the Q500L, but that one clearly had worse build quality (and an acrylic side panel) and doesn't have anywhere near the flexibility this does. So it's a bit more than just a fancy version imho.
Colors will be subjective though :P

Its not a bad idea that you can customize the layout a bit, wish the filters were better coz it looks like fine dust can still get in
Tbh I don't know a single case where you'll completely avoid dust, getting a nice Compuclean blower and a case that's actually easy to clean is the best solution imho..
I don't think the problem with dust will be big since there is no fan that draws air into the case :/ Only those who throw out... so it enters passively

@@adonromadhon3630 In my fcase, the most dust collects where the fan blows that draws in air, but that part of the case is closed, so the air from one part of the sheet calms down and the dust slowly settles.

In my opinion such a statement can only come from someone who never had a system built in a case that provides that layout. I'm using cases with that layout since more than a decade and since I'm doing so, I had no longer problems with dust in the case or too noisy fans - unfortunately, there are very few of those cases and even rarer are those who got that layout right, since it only makes sense, if you can mount fans in the case's bottom and have the sides sealed shut, both to provide the natural upflow of warm air. That being said, i cannot understand why there aren't more of those cases.
BTW, another great layout which is pretty rare (or even extingt in modern cases) is a side-by-side cube. There's no risk of collision between PSU, hard drives/non-nvme-ssds or optical drives (yes, dear case vendors, there are still people that have a use for external 5.25"-slots) and a system in one of those cubes looks much cleaner whe it comes to cable management.
i just don't understand why there's no case on the marked (nor now or in the past) that combines these two features. You could easily fit an E-ATX-system with a 340mm-graphics card, a ton of harddisks and two DVD- or BR-drives in a cube with less than 400mm (w) x 500mm (h) x 400mm (d) and have it silently air-cooled.
I would buy a case like this way more likely than one of those glassy RGB-showrooms that are dominating the current marked.
I actually had the Silverstone RV05 as my personal case for years. Still needed cleaning regularly though.
@@TechTesters I had the RV01 (barely remember how it behaved when it comes to dust) and the FT02 (which I'm still using today for two systems). On one system I only have to clean on the outside sometimes, the filters twice a year and the top-fan once a year. Besides that I don't have any dust inside the case (except on unused HDD-frames - they're breaking the air-flow in the front). The other system showed no necesity of removing dust in five years - but I don't fully count that because it is located in a small server room.
Maybe this is because the FT02 has a lot of small holes in the top cover, while the RV05 has fewer but bigger holes? That's one of the reasons I never changed to the FT05.
Loved the old Fortress cases. I should see what silverstone is up to these days. Haven’t worked with a case of theirs in years.
@@TechTesters They now have the Alta series that uses the same layout as the early FT and RV, but these are more "modern" (and in case of the Alta F2 rediculously overpriced).
For many cases today on the marked you can choose it's color (black, white, sometimes silver) but not, if you want it with a glass panel or not. I don't understand why. What purpose does a glass panel have in a big tower that's located under my desk? It's like a hyper-shift dipped car for daily use - beautiful in some cases, sure, but there are people who don't like/want/need it. That's why I'll stick to my FT02 as long as possible because meanwhile I lost hope that there will ever be a case that fits my requirements better.
You'll still have to pull all the electronics out when when you weld all the corners to stop the inevitable squeaks, wobbles, and rattles
