I’ve been thinking about getting one of these to work a bunch of little projects around my property. My question is regarding the cost effectiveness of the concrete mix. For this to make sense I need to get dump truck loads of agrégate and pallets of cement and mix on the spot. Do you get the supplies from a ready mix facility or a gravel supplier? How does that work?
Problem I have is I’m a 1 man crew and the side shoot needs another person . You need to come out with an add on to make it operational from inside the cab. ☹️👎🤔
While the 'scoop and hose' seems like an easy way to do things, this severely limits the strength of the concrete as you have no idea what your mix ratio is in reality and your 'eye' isn't going to give you the best mix proportions, regardless of 'how long' you've been doing it. The only thing is, you will be long gone when your understrength concrete fails. Use a 5gal bucket. Use a good quality mix ratio, use the same mixer, and make good concrete for your customer. Half-assing concrete is such a weak thing to do.
