Thank you for bringing this topic up with a positive attitude unlike many UA-camr. I, 100% agree with all you said. I am a BBC and welcome all hkers to the UK, but worry that many HKers have a misunderstanding of discrimination. When I visit hk, I see discrimination, I really don’t want to see that discrimination carry across to the uk. Generations of immigrants from all over the world have fought the equality and diversity in society to our today’s efforts in the uk. The influx of hkers are welcome by majority of British people, but it also counts if they have the right attitude to integrate into the British society. In the uk, there is a huge population that are not English, Scottish, Irish or Welsh and those people also need the same respect as what you deserve.
Great insight on the topic of discrimination. I'm from the USA and HK used to be my 2nd home, so it's really great to hear your thoughts on UK (not that I know too much about it, but it seems as diverse as the USA) vs HK. Thank you for sharing your personal stories and experiences!
This racism! not just discrimination. UK is equally bad. You must be blind (and dumb) to even consider believing on these pretty boys who live in dream world!
@@xxyz1220 why don’t you start a new channel and share your experience on how you have been discriminated in the UK. I do think this is a lot better than spending so much time and effort to comment on every reply here for Tony. I would love to subscribe your new channel and hope it help you releasing your stress and tension. Take care!
I deeply appreciated Tony for he is sensible, calm, mature and broaden minded. Hong Kong people also have racial discrimination on Indian, Pakistan. They will describe them as "阿差". You are absolutely right. We have to respect others and self disciplined.
講得好岩,無經歷過or以為無經歷過doesn't mean it doesn't exist,而且歧視is not only limited to verbal,係可以深層次到被歧視嗰個都未必知,例如recruitment上工作機會上,係咪真係purely睇talent睇經驗定係會有subconscious bias,係好難去界定,但英國有一樣係比香港好嘅就係generally d人係sensitive好多,香港係掉轉覺得"minorities要behave先要有貢獻先咁我先至當你係香港一份子啦!" Wtf?!
And Oxford is already one of the safest city in UK! I personally suffered even worse. Why not more real UK people telling the truth, than listening to these pampered boys who are living in sheltered protection.
Itelll from my experience. Racism is more likely to happen at workplaces, particularly at the time of job applications, promotion and/or salary increments. When coming to competition with colleagues, racism can be an issue. Two of my doctor friends in the UK recounted their experience of racism at hospitals. Another friend who was a formerly accountant in Australia also acknowledged racism. My ex-classmate is a doctor in Canada and he experienced seriously bad experience in that regard when practising medicine in the USA after he graduated from University of Chicago and MIT. I have heard of similar stories from professionals around me. They were all job related.
I live here for 15 years and didn't really experience it. It is really depends on how your perceive it. UK is really multi cultural, it is probably the least racist countries in the world.

You are hiding your head in the sand! or maybe you enjoy to be shouted at by the Western?

Thx for sharing, appreciate your comments.👍👍👍
Agree on what? On "if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also?" Just Stupid.

Very well said!

Nice choice for elvis presley
Nowhere is much discriminating than HK after 2019.
同意
On what?
Just let you know, when redundancy come, you are the first one to be fired because your are "different"!

Will be you next!
Joking right? How long have you been living in UK to make the comment?
