  • This week, managing editor Matt Broderick tells how a different approach to the porgy game can make catching these saltwater panfish a whole lot more fun. Senior editor Fred Golofaro has info on the hot start to this spring’s Peconic Bay porgy run and opening day of fluke season, before updating a surf scene suddenly ripe with bluefish. And, the dates are in for the Montauk and South Shore classics. The Montauk event is set for September 24-26 and South Shore for October 29-31.

Seaweed on hooks it is a snack I have eaten dry not bad I could not properly clean fillet using knives on fish but big scissors then pick out bones while eating them it was nice to see Long Island New York areas or north lakes in ny st fish from shore sometimes cats nearby would go in my plastic pails to eat fish they loved them once I nearly drowned so few volks on the beach one was not sure but ran to water to be sure saved me just in time I had one very big eel on my hook from home made rowboat tied to stern of my dads sailboat I was stepping into fell fully clothed eel on hookhow I got in rowboat lost nothing donot ask me blue fish have big teeth from pier one fellow by me caught one was bitten trying to remove hook they bit my line swam away hook in mouth when I last fished age 75 now well I doubt ever more oh memories fun fun times change we change health now as already I said more regulations on fishing how many licenses size it only makes it nicer to not distinguish deplete them for our further generations enjoy yourselves it is later than you think or realize adios until

Would somebody please tell Skipper O'Rourke that the God's eye view angle is usually used to indicate submission and a sense of inferiority in the subject. While I appreciate the sense that I am looking down on the world, the angle is still off putting and entirely unnecessary for a fishing report. Eye level Skip. Eye level.

Always watch and try the spots but don’t catch anything
