    Nice! Thanks for showing your progress, I think you guys are mapping out an uncharted/less followed path of financial independence and I appreciate it!

      Thanks! It’s definitely a less-talked-about path, but others have been doing it low key for a while now. We are excited to share our story and amplify others.

    So awesome you got to such a big number so young!!! We’re ten years older and just finally have that much saved! Wish I knew about getting as much wealth as one can when young so it will have time to grow. We’ve just been slow and steady. But have four kids so there’s that too😂 Congrats to your hard work. Maybe someday we’ll get there too.

      Thank you! It sounds like you too have made a ton of progress, so make sure to celebrate that. That’s amazing! And to do that while supporting 4 children! 🤩
      I was just chatting with someone else about how we all feel like we could’ve started earlier. We all could have started earlier, and it’s normal to feel those feelings of “oh, I wish I started earlier.” But don’t focus too much on that because you can’t go back.

    Congrats on millionaire status!! I know the milestone isn’t the point, but it would give me a heck of a lot of confidence, too 😉 great vid!!

      Thank you! Yes, an arbitrary milestone and actually one Corey was wanting to pass before leaving his job that he hinted at in other videos, but he ultimately realized it was arbitrary and not necessary to quit his job. Not to say it’s not exciting!

    Thanks for explaining and keep up the good content. My skeptical side says the main takeaway is the opposite of encouraging, this higher dollar value makes me worry about the rate of inflation over the period in question.

    • @Fioneers
      @Fioneers  2 місяці тому

      You’re welcome! You can look up inflation for any two points in time so no need to worry about it. $100 in Mar 2023 equals $104.09 today. 4% inflation hardly means the growth is still pretty incredible

    I applaud your outlook and meeting your goals, however that 50k you pulled out will end up costing you well over 600k by the time you reach 65, nearly 200k at 50. I wouldn't withdraw anything for quite some time if I stopped that early. Too much of a loss. Personally, I'm working a few extra years before coasting, make sure I can really live any life I want when I finally hang it up and weather any storm. Going back to work at 70 might not be physically possible. best of luck on your journey.

      Thanks for the support. we see that $50k as an investment to give us more freedom. The best financial decision is not always about what’s best for the net worth long term. Sometimes cash flow and lowering your core expenses can mean more than 600k 20-30 years from now. We did share another video that explains this in more detail if you’re interested.

    Thanks for the reminder. I've been nervous this year because I was investing _less_ to replace a car and pay off student loans more aggressively (I'm not in a position where going for forgiveness is the best thing for me). I actually forgot that there are gains there already that are also compounding 😅
    I'm still switching gears back towards investing the greater amount when these goals are complete (not at coast fi yet, but getting there!). But I was struggling with all-or-nothing thinking, that not investing the most I possibly could would somehow derail my plans entirely.

      It can be easy to fall into the all or nothing mindset. We’ve been there. But seeing the options in between the far extremes can open ourselves to so many more lifestyle options.
      Good luck on reaching Coasf FI. Glad you are making progress. 👏

    Your glasses being crooked is driving me crazy. Other than that great video. We are technically Coast FI too but trying to figure out what that will look like for us long term as lifestyle creep is tempting especially as our kids get older. Been following your journey for a year or so but in the mean time I found a job I can tolerate and gives some purpose. In the mean time we did start a 72T with an old IRA which has still kept going up despite the withdrawals.

    • @Fioneers
      @Fioneers  2 місяці тому

      Thanks for following the journey. Good luck as you work through what your lifestyle will look like after coast FI. We are planning more content and tools for people in a similar situation in the near future that may be helpful.
      Isn’t it nice to withdraw some and have it keep up?! That’s amazing

    in a period when stocks just go up, then the nest egg goes up. in a period when stocks go down, the nest egg will go down. probably US stocks are at 20 years high. it's likely you will still have $1.1M by 2044. wise to have bought a house. best of luck.

    • @Fioneers
      @Fioneers  2 місяці тому

      Thanks! We are happy to have purchased the home too for reasons beyond $. I think it’s unlikely that the next 20 years will bring less than 10% growth, but technically it is possible.

      Well, the math says they only need a 3.5% rate of return to double to $2,000,000 in 20 years if left untouched. A 12% rate of return will give them about $10,000,000 in 20 years. I imagine the $10,000,000 is more likely what they'll have.
