I have this fan - got it at an estate sale for $5. It's the best fan! I'm here trying to find out the trick to removing the front grill so I can clean the interior. I don't want to break it... help!
Does anyone happen to know which model(s) were affected by the switch fire issues? Googled it and didn't see anything about it. I have, what I think, is a newer model of these fans and want to know if I need to pull it apart and inspect the switch mechanism, etc. Thanks.
What a great design :-D
It looks like it was made yesterday, very fresh looking.
As rare as chickens teeth lol.
I enjoyed it I was a fan of this video
I can't put my finger on it but it sounds like your voice is a little different
wheezy from allergies.
Incidentally, just found a free 37" Hitachi BPC CRT TV, low hour! picking it up tomorrow.
I used to have a Sanyo version of this fan back in the early 80's. The outer rotating gill on mine turned a lot faster.
Thanks for showing this well designed fan, JP.
Think we had a Galaxy one back in the 80s.. cool!
Ayo It's my fan brothers!

The Mistral Gyro fan was one of the fans similar to this one, that the speed control would overheat and catch fire.
I want to buy one NOW.
Nice vintage fan.
What a cool fan.
