- Folks, welcome back to Mediterranean Cruise 2023 vlog series. In today's episode, we'll explore a little bit of Palma De Mallorca, Spain, as we spend half a day roaming around the famous Palma Cathedral. Once we're onboard, we're showing off our best formal attire, as we end the day dining all together at the main dining room. We're also going to watch one of the famous broadway shows, "Hairspray" as they showcase one amazing show onboard the beautiful SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS.

Do you have any advice on taking tours or doing everything by yourself (walking/sightseeing)?
Hi, thanks for watching. For this specific cruise itinerary, we had excursions pretty much at every single port of call except for Palma De Mallorca, where we just took a cab to the city centre to check out the cathedral. 😊 I highly suggest taking a group tour at the Vatican if you ever get to go there because it can get chaotic with the crowd (and the lineup).

Hi my daughter and I will be on the same cruise in October. We don't have an excursion for Palma De Mallorca. How long did it take you to get to the city centre and about how much did it cost? Thank you.
Hi, thanks for watching! We did not do an excursion in Palma as well. We just had a quick stroll at the city centre. We took a cab there and the drive, I’d say, takes about 10-15 min depending on traffic. Taxi costs less than €20 if I’m not mistaken. I forgot the exact price, maybe around €15 one way. I suggest getting off the ship as soon as the gangway opens and then joining the taxi queue right away because the line-up for the taxi can get quite long. We probably had to wait in line for about half an hour as the taxis come one at a time, or slower than what everyone would like.

@@rosewilliams4047 Hi, formal nights on this particular cruise itinerary are on day 2 and day 6. Normally there’d be two formal nights on a 7- night cruise. Other than the formal nights, there were also “themed nights” where you can participate on. If I recall correctly:
Day 1: Casual
Day 2: Formal
Day 3: White
Day 4: Caribbean
Day 5: Casual (but there’s a 70s/80s dance party so you can choose to dress up 70s/80s theme too)
Day 6: Formal
Day 7: Casual
