This recipe is great! I recommend adding just a little bit of xanthan gum which you can find in any grocery store baking section. This is used as a substitute for Starbucks Frappuccino base. It thickens your drink so it won’t be crunchy ice and helps the coffee and Ice stay together! Thanks for the recipe ❤️

how much xanthan gum would you add?
1: 1/4 a cup of water
3: microwave the water for 30s
3: 1tsp of instant coffee to the water
4: leave the water aside
5: add 1 cup of milk to a blender
6: add 2 tsp of Carmel syrup
7: add 3 tsp of Carmel sauce
8: blend

We make this (a little differently) and use crunched up Werther's originals for the topping. You should give it a try. Amazing!

I always order this drink at Starbucks. I get a tall size, since I don’t want so much of it. But I order it with Oat milk and like to add java chips. My tall drink was almost $8 so now I’m here learning how to make it myself 😆

I literally went to the grocery store to buy whip cream and caramel syrup. I used every brand except I had Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. I had to make it in my coffee maker because the grinds weren’t dissolving. Wasn’t sure it was gunna taste good. But OMG!! This is going to save me sooo much money from going to Starbucks everyday! I bought a ninja blender so I been obsessed with making recipes.

Should try putting the Heath Bits on top of the whipped cream on the bottom too before you add the coffee. I believe Starbucks does that. I always get crunchies from the first sip I take! Thanks for the recipe Patrick!

@@eva9728 yes, it had little pieces of ice, but it didn’t water down the taste or anything.

Okay your right about everything except one thing……. Starbucks frappes take what’s called a frappe base. Now on the market, it comes in a powder form but of course Starbucks has theirs in a liquid form. It more coffee flavoring and has sugar and water as it’s two main ingredients.
So this is what I’ve found out. Girl it’s taken me 5 years of research
For a vente
1. They use 1-2 cups of milk
2. About 1-2 cup of frappe roast
3. 1 squirt of flavoring syrup
4. And then I seen the lady add 2-3 pumps of this stupid liquid frappe base. I caught wind of the bottle and it said coffee flavored and frappe base and I seen first two ingredients were sugar and water
And the rest of your versions are right with the whip cream and stuff.
You just forgot the frappe base is all to this and I have no idea what it is other than it’s liquid but to the regular ppl of the world, only a powder frappe base is available. To my knowledge
Where is the CRUNCH?
When I order it , I ask for it on top & bottom of Frappuccino & also ask for a shot of Expresso !!
Starbucks won't Sell the Crunch Except on the Drink
The "mystery ingredient" in the frappe base is xanthan gum. There is no xanthan gum in coffee syrup, which holds the sole purpose of adding sweetness and flavor to the drink, therefore you adding caramel syrup is not going to recreate the texture in the Starbuck's frappuccinos. Not hating on you, just letting you know.
4 minutes, if not more, of pointless talking. Theres another video thats 1min 26 seconds.. gets right to the point and the frappe tastes delicious. Came on here looking for something that doesnt require Frappuccino base..

I HATE how every damn recipe is like “frappe is just milk and coffee!” Wrong! Maybe this is the simplest form, and it should be noted that professional high grade places use milk, simple syrup/and expresso not coffee. Anyway, it took me years to finally find out that McDonald’s and Starbucks use something called a frappe/latte base which is a powder form, then they add the syrups and liquid sugar along with coffee, milk, and ice. For flavoring it’s better to use vanilla bean powder instead of more sugar to give it sweetness without being overbearing.
Of course it all needs to be blended in a blender. And must use whole milk or heavy cream
I still haven’t figured out how to make the ones in the glass bottle which tastes entirely different from the Starbucks store ones….. however!!! A little tip I’ve found, other brands make the exact same ones the brand that I find is merely exactly like the Starbucks bottled one (but uses vanilla bean flavoring instead of regular vanilla and I hate vanilla bean string flavoring so I stick to the 5 dollar bottle of Starbucks one 🤬) is called “best choice” iced LATTE! So I guess the secret is use a latte base to make a frappe.
But I’ll try your recipe dude I hope it works I’ve been trying so many recipes for years and I’m like nope……. I’m so mad at this point and I can’t afford this shit anymore. I was drinking 7 glass bottles Starbucks coffees a day which was equaling around 15~20 bucks a day. Ducking nuts. I have 2 babies and need that boost of energy and regular coffee hurts my stomach and doesn’t give me the same vibe. I don’t want hot drinks, I don’t want bland coffee and I don’t want the jitters from expresso. I like Starbucks bc it’s good on my mind and whatever.
