@@dillank3240 Ljudi vole tragedije jer ih zbližavaju. (Johnny Štulić)
What does the garlic in the chorus mean? Is it about doing as you were taught?
I love Irish music especially when the Irish rovers sing them. Thank you the Irish rovers for intruding me to Irish music
Intruding^^
The Dubliners are amazing too
Ditto
Me too!❤️

Never been to Ireland. I'm not Irish. But I know good music when I hear it. I'm raising a glass to you gentlemen across the Atlantic. Cheers 🍻
Big fan of Irish music and dance here.
Love from Istanbul, Turkey! 🇹🇷
Thanks for listening, Sibel.

Greetings and love from across the way in Izmir. I wish others would come to visit and appreciate more of what Turkey has to offer, especially all the history and specifically the religious and historical places - Tarsus, where the Apostle Paul was from, is just outside of Adana. Once they get to know the Turkish people, I'm sure they'll come with a positive view of Turkey. BTW, although Islam is the largest religious group, all religious freedoms are practiced in Turkey, and we attend Protestant services every Sunday.
These guys are pure magic to me. My grandma (rest her soul) was a big fan and we'd listen to the Rovers all the time when I was a kid, and they just sound better and better the older I get!
My grandpa used to blast this on his speakers, all day. On top of his "I love a mystery" tapes, God I miss my old Irish man.
I'm listening from Bangladesh, while I am drinking. I was in Malaysia and an Irish club was playing this music. It had tremendous vibes .
I love whiskey, I love ireland and I love this song, kisses to every irish people in comment section, if one day you come in swizerland, tell me and come to lausanne, we'll drink a beer together, or a whiskey ;)
CMBlaze MuZa DO YOU LIVE IN IRELAND TOO? I'll buy you a beer in the Dublin pub

You can capture a Newfy from Canada instead.
Came here from Lackadaisy! This song is really good!
I mean, we all know that Rocky has great music taste
All I see is Rocky bleeding from the gash in his head, staring into the void with a thousand-yard stare and mumbling this song.
OMG this is so funny! I’ve loved this song for months, so when I heard it in Lackadaisy I got so excited!!!
You're not alone
Everyone gansta until tracy turned on the blue
this is one of the many things that makes you extremely proud to be irish
My girlfriend: "you need to quit drinking"
Me: "I know"
Also me:
And me beside you: mush-a-rigum-durram-da whack-fol-the daddie-o🍻🍾🍻🍾🍻🥴🥴

Metallica one is the best tho.
@@Twowheelsandadream4 I will listen to that one if I want metal, but this version for Irish folk music.
none of you mentions thin lizzy, who, straight from ireland, made it popular again
Peter yarrow did a version called "GILGARRA MOUNTAIN".

Friends, good ale, and this being played while being at the Cobblestone, Dublin. I had this experience and I'd wish to anyone... I mean, what else could you ask from life??? Cheers!!!

I feel like going to Ireland the moment I hear this song :D
When my daddy was young my grandma used to sing this song in the kitchen. I herd her sing it as well, once, but I didn't understand it at the time. I loved her pot of honey on the table, and she gave me my first drink, mom had a fit!
Oh great Ireland, country of my ancestors please don't ever change.
I did, for better or worse.
I for the life of me I can’t remember where I heard this from first, but I immediately remembered it when Rocky hummed it in the Lackadaisy pilot and just had to look it up in full. It might’ve been from my grandma or great grandma as a kid or perhaps on the radio, but however I first heard it, there’s a warm nostalgia to this.

It is so much fun to hear u guys again. I am American & hearing this music brings me back to my roots. You don't come to America enough. I live in Upper Darby. Try to come close to us. My husband is Italian & he loves u guys. Henever plays Italian music just Irish. Go figure. I always say he's a closet Irishman. Love, Bernadette
What a masterpiece

Love from Turkey 🇹🇷
You're not the only Turk who loves Irish music it would seem.

Best wishes from Argentina.
Everytime I go to an Irish souvenir shops I hear this..
this music is beautiful I'm hooked. it brings out this great joy but also this deep sadness and longing for a land and people I never knew. I hope to one day bring my clan of McDaniels back to where my ancestors once belonged

My great grandparents were born in Ireland. I don’t know why they left, likely WWI, and unfortunately I’ll never know for sure because my dad passed when I was young so I never got to ask about my heritage. But music like this feels like I don’t need to know because all of Ireland is my family. Amazing how music can take away loneliness.
It was probably because of the Easter Rising, or the unrest or oppression from the british, or maybe they just felt like it. Sad to hear though, my irish grandparents emigrated to the west coast of scotland.
dude, music like this makes everyone feel irish
@@jacek460 lol
@@jacek460 I can confirm this. Jewish east euro background without an ounce of Irish in me and I feel it when I listen
Who the fuck are these?
Arguably a great baritone singer; well the pace of this piece does challenge. I played it over seven times; if not for me late mother...

I remember me niana listening to the rovers on Sundays and telling tale of her home in tellemore. Never been to Erin but i feel I've been. Love jeary and mom god blesses in heaven.
MAGNIFICENT TALENT. 😍😍
This is to me the BEST version I have ever heard of this song. If Thin Lizzy or Metallica had done more like this (lyrically) it would have been so much better.
I have forever been a fan of the Rovers (and The Irish Rovers) but I don't recall them ever doing this one on their TV show back in the 70's.
This is the best version of this song and i love then.
try Screeched Inn from Toronto....pretty good version there too
not a hope in hell, the Dubliners have the best version by far
It is possible to like both this and the Metallica version. I’m living proof of that. It just depends on what I’m in the mood for.
The Dead
@@timicus2 it's quite possible to like a great cover and the shite metalica spewed out, the real question is what tool would care for the second...

Finding You brought me to this excellent Irish song …outstanding
Wow! This would make a really good metal song!
Yeah,that could work..
You are going to want to find yourself a mediocre drummer and build out from there..
I'm an Aussie born and bred, but I've often thought that there must be a Irish lad or lass in my history somewhere, because I love these old Irish folk songs, and the Irish Rovers sing them brilliantly! 😃😃😃
Thanks
Pretty sure I hear Wallace Hood in this song. I hope you are well Wallace. We had some good times back when.
