75th Independence Day Celebration | Montfort School Roorkee

Independence day promotes nationalism and patriotism
in the hearts of all the citizens of the country. We
celebrated our 75th Independence day this year .On this
auspicious day every year , we remember the sacrifices
made by our freedom fighters.
Montfort School, Roorkee ,also celebrated Independence
day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The National Flag was hoisted by the Principal-Rev. Bro.
Albert Abraham in the school quadrangle. It was followed
by the singing of the National Anthem. Vice-PrincipalBro. Prashant Kulu , Headmistress(Primary Section)- Sr.
Santhana Mary, Headmistress (K.G Section)-Sr. Anthony
Xavier, Mr. Deepu Thomas-Coordinator(Senior Section),
Mrs. Lizy Philip - Coordinator(Middle Section) were
present on this graceful occasion.
The virtual programme viewed live on UA-cam also
included recorded performances by the students.
Patriotic dances, songs and speeches highlighting the
achievements of our country during the past 74 years
were delivered. The programme concluded with the
speech by Bro. Albert Abraham. The Principal
remembered the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and
reiterated the need to uphold and protect the freedom
of our country.
