This kid is extremely raw, but with tremendous amount of potential!! I don't think he will, but due to such little experience, I would love to see him play about 3 seasons at UK. I think he would by then, be such a transformed player, from day 1, that his game would be unrecognizable to when we 1st seen him. I like the WCS comparisons, all except I think he has more offensive potential. Reason be, he already shows a nice true stroke from mid range, for a young big. Mix in ability to face up away from basket, and run floor and play high motor, could end up being an All American/top 10 talent, if he stayed and put the work in. If we do in fact land Bamba, a yr to defend and also work post offense vs a defender as elite as Mo, would be terrific for him. Don't get me wrong, he will be a impact guy for us yr 1. Due to size, speed, motor, rim protection he already possess. Will be a fun kid to watch develop. Seems to have great attitude as well. #BBN #UKfor9
I see Nick Richards as Willie Cauley-Stein, [who started as a volley ball/football player] with possibly more upside, even though Willie was a top 5 draft pick} especially If Mohamed Bamba chooses UK...making them the Cauley Stein-Karl Anthony Towns combo...that could seriously run the table..and an NCAA Championship
Patrick Quinn hell yeah. Bamba and Richards PLUS the scoring ability of Quade, Shai, and Diallo and the versatility of Vanderbilt and PJ (who are also efficient scorers) I don't see anybody stopping them in the tournament. (I don't see anyone stopping them even if they don't get Bamba)
Big up Nick Richard’s!!!
