    Thanks for this very different take, compared to mine, on the brotherhood. Somepoint why I like these guys:
    - Indoctrination: Combine with Cruiser II to grab lightly defended planets. If you have Dacxive it turns their 1 Infantry defended planets into your 3 Infantry defended Planets without rolling a die
    - Devotion: I call it "Direct hit but better"
    - Agent: I call him "Shields Holding, with guns". Take two hits, destroy 2 fighters, devote a Destroyer, get the fighters back
    - Hero: He can win games via spent objectives. For example the 6 Command token obj. These 2-pointers normally eat the Ressources/Influence of a complete turn, with the Hero you can still build. Or if you hold the Imperial card, you can score two such obj. the same turn. The Infantry doubler is for planets you do not want to ready. (Influence planets after leadership is done) He is not flashy like Muaat or "I-Win" like Winnu, but workable.
    - Flagship: Yin are (in my opinion) a skirmish/guerilla faction. They cannot win their fights in space against Barony, L1 etc. But if the enemy main fleet is coming, the Van Hauge can deal with anything. As you said: Gravity Drive is mandatory.
    - "Contrary how I like to play the game": Thats a normal description for the Yin by sane people :D
    - Psycharchealogy: Spot on! Yin likes to reserve planets for Indoctrination, with Psychoarc they can always get a trade good for reserved but unused planets.
    - Impulse Core: I see it as a way to get the Agent-Fighters before Combat starts. Maybe to blow a carrier from behind its fighter screen. Yeah, not that good.
    - Yin Spinner: ... Thats the old version. Do you not use the Omega one? It puts 2 Infantry per production wherever you want instead of 1 on the planet with the space dock.
    - Warfare: I never use for Yin. I never use it in general :D
    - "These guys are not really combat heavy": I tend to play them aggressive early in the game to get my economic advantage (More planets), later I always threaten with the flagship. And they are the hell to dislodge from a planet.
    - Secret Obj: I recommend "Destroy their greatest ship" (throw your flagship at it), "Stake your claim" (PoK, taking one planet in a two planet-system is easy for yin), "Occupy the Fringe" (Having 9 Infantry on a non-spacedock planet is easier for Yin then for most other factions)

      @@TheBoardGameKaptain Thanks for the reply! I did better than expecting especially for my first go of the game. I ended up with 8 points in a game where the lowest score was 6. We're now playing every other month with six players and are picking our factions ahead of time. I picked L1Z1X Mindnet for December.

    You’re also underselling the Hero, IMHO. It’s a private, unblockable, non-veto-able better version of Rise of a Messiah. You can literally double your *absurdly* good ground force picture in an instant.
    If you’ve upgraded to Inf II, there are very few things that can even scare you anymore if you pop it off - L1’s Harrow (if they can manage to bring enough GFs to a fight, that is, and have them survive through several rounds of combat plus an Indoctrination), *maybe* a well-played X89, or perhaps a Plague card. Other than that? You’re going to be even FURTHER dug into every single planet you have taken.

      I agree that defensively it is pretty great, it just doesn't seem game winning on its own, unless you've already got a bunch of troops on MR, but it doesn't help you take MR without a way to transport the troops to MR if you don't already have it. Offensively, I find the flag ship far better. Generally speaking though. That said, I could be very wrong about this. These guys are definitely not one of my go to factions, and so I don't play them often. I'll have to give the ability another try in the future, maybe with a mind towards taking MR ASAP and filling it with hordes of troops.

    Another quick note: Gravity Drive isn’t Flank Speed - it applies +1 to a SINGLE ship per activation, not your entire fleet. Of course, if you’re only using it to sneak a Van Hauge into a vulnerable fleet, it won’t matter, but I’ve definitely gotten burned before by forgetting that GD only applies to a single ship.

    What do you think of Sling Relay to make a Van Hauge to Ram in Mecatol Rex. It make the Nomad Ally card the one you really, really want. Sling Relay with Gravity Drive make the pre recs for Carrier II aswell.

      Throwing the Van Haugue into Mecatol Rex is definitely a great way to clear out an occupying fleet though you will need to have taken the Warfare strategy card to remove your token and then move in to take the planet. You also have to time it right when someone else can't roll in while you have to spend a turn using Warfare. If done right, it can definitely be game winning.

      @@TheBoardGameKaptain I think next time I play, my strategy will be a hybrid Sol one. Blue 2/green 2 for transport 2, fighter 2, and ground troops, fleet 5. That way I roll into a system take the soak and give instant hits to enemy transports (I'm looking at you Sol).

    Great series of videos! I've watched all of your TI videos. I've had a couple of decent games with Yin thanks to you. In the future, would you be willing to make a video that really explains all the techs. You look up other videos and info from other TI groups and they act like the only tech tree you should ever invest in is blue. I'd just like to see your take on all the tech trees. I'm not buying the only blue tech propaganda. Thanks for what you're doing Kaptain!

    Can't remember where i read it, but nuking a fleet with the Van Hague is a draw...not a win or a loss for either side. I.E. "unveil flagship" or the secret objective to destroy the oponents flagship do not apply

    How about the Winnu?
    I know they are pretty meme^^
    But i played them on the Weekend for the first time in an 8 player, 14 Victory Point game! man it was huge! I managed to score 13 Points with them! So strong this commander and the hero!
    Everyone was wondering so much about the Winnu and their improvement since POK!
    And people love to be in an alliance with you!

    You’re playing the commander wrong. You don’t pay extra - you produce 3 Infantry for the price of 2! You make 1 extra without affecting your production limit. It’s the pair to Naalu’s version, except with Inf not Fighters.

      Are you sure, I can't find a clarification or FAQ on this ability. It does say "for their cost" which made me think you still had to pay though they didn't count against your production limit. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but do you have a link to a clarification, the card is a bit ambiguous. Thanks for commenting, I'm always glad to get to the bottom of issues like these.

      I haven’t seen an official FAQ item on it yet, though Dane has seemed busy (with Codex II?) and not really responsive to queries currently.
      One Yin FAQ that needs answering is: what happens if the Cabal flagship and fleet destroy the Van Hauge? Does VRC capture everything in its own fleet AND the Van Hauge, or does the timing on the VH’s suicide explosion somehow negate it?

      @@zamoose thanks for the link. They definitely could have been a bit more clear with the wording.
      In regard to the Cabal, I would allow the capture until I hear otherwise from an official source. Granted, that makes the Cabal flag ship something you would definitely want to avoid with the Van Hauge.

    I think you must play the codex if you are playing them, otherwise they are fairly terrible.
