You can't call them rescued elephants if they have been taken from one abuser and given to another abuser that forces the elephants to let people ride around on them.

Elephants Don’t Give Rides or Perform Tricks Willingly Elephants only allow people to ride them when constantly threatened with physical violence and psychological punishment. They’re typically beaten into submission with bullhooks-sharp steel-tipped weapons resembling fireplace pokers-and mahouts (trainers) always have one in hand. To train baby elephants to be subservient in the tourism industry, they’re often forcibly separated from their mothers, tied down and immobilized with ropes, and beaten mercilessly, sometimes for days on end. During these spirit-breaking sessions, some of them die. I'm from Thailand. Please don't support animal cruelty by riding elephants. They belong in their home, the jungle. Any extra weight is bad for their backs. Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of your videos.
Then you shouldn't ride horses, donkeys or camels as well. they are even more smaller than elephant. These elephants are like pets so they like to live with people and they could not live in the jungle. But there are a lot of wild elephants as well and they live in the jungle. I think these elephants are in a good way of life. I don't like when I people take elephant walking in the street in a big city for making money.

If the elephants are rescues, why are they riding them? They were not put here to ride! If they were rescued from abuse, WHY ARE THEY CARRYING THOSE ABUSIVE BLUE STICKS, and forcing them into the water?! 😢😡💔
You DO love your eggs benedict :) always part of your breakfast. The elephants were too cute! When she was drinking water, I was fawning over it. This "camp" is a must-visit.
Everything was great until I saw tourists can ride the elephants. If they rescue the elephants from mistreatment in Thailand's tourism industry they shouldn't allow anybody to ride them! I've been in Thailand and only the real sanctuaries let you feed them and then just watch them.

Things to do to afford such things: 1. Learn meditation (which easily can replace holidays when done correctly) 2. Look up a trip you'd make in your yearly holidays at work every year 2.1 Meditate in your holidays at home daily. 3. You save what you'd spend on that trip and exactly mark what you've saved as if you'd booked that trip Every few years you empty your savings account for one of the trips the lux travel expert does every saturday. Often they accept credit only, so speak to your bank beforehand that you're about to book a 15000+ USD hotel and describe that you've saved for that. Then they usually don't have any problems booking that on your account after it appears on your card.

I don't know if it already came up or not, but I just wanna mention something that came to my attention: You refer to off-road vehicles as Jeep, which is not correct, as long as the vehicle is not actually a Jeep. Jeep is a US manufacturer of off-road vehicles, like the Jeep Wrangler. In this particular video (13:11) the vehicle you refer to as Jeep is actually a Land Rover Defender, Land Rover being the name of the British manufacturer. Jeep has come a long way and established itself as a Brand which is synonymous for off-road vehicles, that's why it is sometimes used in that way, but not on purpose. But there are other brands which are on the same level as Jeep, namely Land Rover. Just wanted to mention that. Stay safe and enjoy your trips. I am always looking forward to your videos :-)

To train baby elephants to be subservient in the tourism industry, they’re often forcibly separated from their mothers, tied down and immobilized with ropes, and beaten mercilessly, sometimes for days on end. During these spirit-breaking sessions, some of them die.
Those who survive are forced to live the rest of their lives in servitude, lugging tourists around-sometimes for hours on end, or even when they’re exhausted or injured
Don't ride elephants! Poor animals
Everything is better when u have money😉😂. That’s because I like ur videos. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
People who.think money make their happiness.are no difference from a person paying for a prostitute and confuse the outcome with love
As beautiful as this place may be, I'm still saddened by the whole elephants being ridden and still obviously in a "Tourist trade" scenario!
Such a beautiful, and relaxing resort! I appreciate how much shade there was. I never thought of a jungle as being cozy, but this definitely was. Loved it!
The way this was shot and produced is just so beautiful that by the time it got to the elephants, I was moved to tears. Thank you for such amazing work. Incredible. Such love.

Absolutely incredible place. This is definitely on the list, and what an amazing experience. Hope u had a fantastic time sir

This video brought me so much unexpected joy. My heart was full when the elephants bathed in the river I actually cried. Fantastic!❤❤
Me too. I also cry like a river. It is like the release.

♥The LOVELIEST video The Luxury Travel Expert has ever posted. THANK YOU ♥
Wow, thank you!
Beautiful hotel it's my dream to be there. However something has changed my mind after viewing the video. The elephant tusk as door knob in the suite is a total turn off.
Same here. I'm Thai and I found it offensive.
A bath in the bedroom is a horrid idea for me. To design a bath to look filthy is Bizzare as is putting tusks around the place as decor.
I enjoy your video trip on cambodian and thailand. It is a joy to watch your video. 2 thumbs up!
Things to do to afford such things:
1. Learn meditation (which easily can replace holidays when done correctly)
2. Look up a trip you'd make in your yearly holidays at work every year
2.1 Meditate in your holidays at home daily.
3. You save what you'd spend on that trip and exactly mark what you've saved as if you'd booked that trip
Every few years you empty your savings account for one of the trips the lux travel expert does every saturday.
Often they accept credit only, so speak to your bank beforehand that you're about to book a 15000+ USD hotel and describe that you've saved for that. Then they usually don't have any problems booking that on your account after it appears on your card.
👍
I love your chanel, in this time of uncertainty in the US. this chanel is a God send. Please keep yourself SAFE.......K.S.
A taste of paradise! The sound of nature and breathtaking landscapes in this crazy moment on earth, means that a brand new day is expecting for us... Elephants are the most perfect creation among animals. They mesmerize me. Enjoying that energy from elephants is simply a magical contact. Thanks for take me to a trip with elephants.

In all your journeys, she's never smiled so much as here. Well done, Doctor. Thank you for sharing this incredible location.
What's the title and composer of the music starting at 5:17?
Beautiful! But STOP riding the elephants!
I love how each of your videos compel me to add new locations on my bucket list!❤️

Wow very beautiful place thank you this video.
The way those guys scolded at a lovingly elephants doesn’t look like they has been rescued.... 😠
MINIMAL ME How were the elephants scolded at?
ZeeNunew brought me here. Lovely place indeed 💕
Does this resort have large crow during your visit? And does Chiang rai and Mekong river area have street kids asking for money?
Liew Pg There are only 15 tents, so the camp feels very private
Love your videos but this one, as an animal lover, I found hard to enjoy. Will you ever go to Costa Rica? Would love to see that.
My trip to Costa Rica was cancelled because of COVID
We love Chiang Rai and his surroundings are very beautiful. Been there many times because we have a Belgian friend living there who showed us the beautiful nature and temples where you will not find a "farang" :-) Keep to your vlogs coming!
I got beaten by insects in the middle of forest hills resort
We need luxury regional airlines. This hotel reminds me of the original Banana Republic Clothing Co.
Place of dreams ♥️
Amazing!

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! MAGICAL.✨💫 The elephants part is so spiritual. 🥰😇✨
Stayed here 5 days on our honeymoon in feb 2020, probably one if not the most unique hotel we have ever experienced, video brings back a lot of joyful memories.

So beautiful! Your video is so soothing like nothing is happening in the world despite all the outbreaks right now. I live in U.S and hope everything will go back to normal soon. How is this traveling possible for you? There are so many countries are restricting people from entering. Many airlines have shut down or canceled flights. How did you do it?

MotohideTheBrave one day
Enjoyed the review as usual Not sure it would be easy to get around the camp if you had a mobility problem however. I am writing off my own travel plans for 2020 due to the obvious global health issues. Fortunately I can always re-watch some of your archived videos which will hopefully keep me going until next year.
