The ending scene where Rhaenyra peers into the camera with fire and blood in her eyes was absolutely perfect. What a way to end a great season of television that restored our faith in the ASOIAF universe.
Never lost faith in the ASOIF universe. GoT's downfall, if you can call it that, was solely caused by 2 people. Now they have competent showrunners and GRRM helping as well. Finished source material, too, on top of that. This show is in good hands.

@Daniel Laygo it has been confirmed multiple times that dragons and their riders are linked mentally. They are still wild animals but they do obey and listen to their riders.
@Daniel Laygo Rhaenyra and Syrax have grown up together since Syrax was a hatchling. Vhagar is literally an over hundred years old war machine with a 19 year old teenager on her back needling commands into her brain. Dragons can hear commands, doesn’t mean they’ll listen. This is prolly why it’s much preferred to put a dragon egg in a cradle with Targaryen from birth and have them bond basically like siblings once the egg hatches. On the flipside, you have Arrax who was the same age as 14 year old Lucerys. Basically a toddler dragon, forced into a situation where it panicked like any child and wouldn’t listen to Lucerys out of fear.
I agree totally, I would have liked him and Arrax to stay on longer on the show. They would have been a force to be reckoned with.I admired their bravery and spirit. I am heart broken that their end was so tragic.
What a brilliant way to end this season. I like how they made Luke's death accidental. It not only gives Aemond's character much-needed nuance, but also adds an element of tragic irony to the narrative. The Targaryens believed that their power resided in dragons. But it was eventually their dragons that triggered their downfall. Their object of hubris also became their object of doom.
Making his death an accident is corny and anti - climatic . Having him killed with intent is more organic and they should have stuck with the book version. Sorry but this made the finale episode lazy.
Thought the same thing. They had assumed the dragons would listen to them, but once there was danger from another dragon, the instincts kicked in. Viserys warned of the hubris of thinking they could control dragons in episode 1. This brings that full circle.
who gives a damn. she is as poor of a character as rest of the show. all uninspiring, i dont care about any of them. I tried to give this show a chance but its unworthy. i cannot stand this character after the time lapse with the new actress. At least the younger actress captured the essence of the character. This other actress isn't terrible but a major downgrade.
It was a delight to see how they handled the whole "as told by maesters" thing of the Fire and Blood book. For everyone present at the hall of Borros Baratheon, it would seem like Aemond chased Lucerys down with Vhagar and murdered him in cold blood, so seeing how the Dance began because both riders were inexperienced and unable to control their dragons was a fantastic detail.

Vhagar flying above Arrax reminded me of a shark swimming underneath its prey except its in the fucking sky, that was absolutely terrifying and a perfect display of the sheer size of that beast of a dragon.
The way the set up the tension was wonderful. I thought everything would happen within the storm and when both Arrax and Luke reached the light, so to speak only for Vhagar show up in that precise moment.
The most heartbreaking scene in the end was to watch Rhaenyra hold her womb and cry out loudly without making any noise. I mean that scene clearly shows she was torn apart completely she still didn't overcome from the death of her justborn and now she loses her second child. Her grief is beyond our imagination and the look she gives at the end clearly shows that she has no mercy left for the greens now. Though Aemond didn't want Lucerys to death but still his full chase for the little boy truly makes him responsible for his death and begining of the war. Peace and harmony didn't fetch any goodwill for Rhaenyra and ya now we gotta see the darkside of hers. I standstill and support my Queen.
Also, she had no way of knowing that Aemond didn't mean to kill Luke. To her, he absolutely slaughtered her baby or was ordered by Alicent to do so. Adds to her grief and rage.
Yes, that small gesture where she holds her lower stomach, her womb, was so so powerful. As a mother everything she did rang true with me, her every gesture and reaction throughout this season were so relatable and familiar to me.
Their understanding of the character is obviously profound, but their interpretation of Rhaenyra and their obvious love for her as a character is even better. It's so, so well done, and so lovely to see. This series has made me a huge huge fan of Emma.
well if I may be that person, I thought the ending of ep 9 was also really not good. The dragon bursting through the floor, not a fan of it. But then also not killing the greens right then and there, just for cinematic fake tension, really not a fan of it.

Honestly, i think the reason people spoil like that is bc they're being somewhat proud having read the book, which is something that seems to get rarer these past few years - people mustering the attention span to commit to a book versus the instant gratification of social media and so on. I think it's an outlet of that pride to then take the surprise from people they deem being to lazy to read? Bc many people jump on bandwagons and also often dont care for these storys before theyre presented to them in a flashy tv show. In short, it's eltism, pride and trolling.
What a finale, Rhaenyra has done everything in her power to prevent the realm from descending into chaos and keep everything but she has lost so much in the last couple of days that the final loss of Luke is probably the final straw for her and the spark of this whole devastating conflict.

that last shot when Rhaenyra looks at the camera always gives me the chills. Emma perfectly portrayed the feelings of absolute pain, anger, motivation, and revenge with this one scene.
I loved the changed they did with Aemond. It proves that stories need context to be better understood. In the hundreds of years that passed since the dance of the dragons everyone in westeros might have assumed he went and killed his nephew. But it was always confusing to me why would he kill his nephew after so many years that he lost his eye. It was never implied both in text and in the show that he was murderous or sadistic like Joffrey or Ramsey were. So the change makes much more sense in my opinion
Thankfully GRRM is more involved here than in the ending of GoT. As far as i understood his comments to the series he considers this depiction canon so far. Even more canon than the book's accounts of the events. I hope it stays so.

Like originally, in the Song of Ice and Fire series, everyone referred to Rhaenyra as a usurper and a traitor (pretty sure Robert Baratheon said it). This was because GRRM didn't write the part where King Viserys named Rhaenyra the heir yet. Later on, it was obviously retconned and basically changed into "the history book kept out the part when Rhaenyra was named heir"

so wonderful to see how much emma cares for rhaenyra and how much thought has gone into their understanding and portrayal of the character! as a viewer it's so nice to see the same amount of love we the fandom have for these characters reflected in the cast. it definitely shows in the quality of acting & showrunning - especially in that final ep of the season!
I loved that Aemond didn’t actually mean to kill Luke. Only to taunt him but they both lost their control on their dragons. Now he’s forever branded as a kinslayer and after the retaliation of B&C he will spiral into true madness.. all because of something he didn’t particularly mean to do. The crushing guilt must be immense. I love that nuance. Can’t wait for the next season and the changes in his psyche.

You see why the Targaryens do the whole "dragon egg in the cradle" thing, because dragons who bond with their riders from birth are much easier to control. See how sympatico Caraxes and Syrax are with Daemon and Rhaenyra. But Vhagar, who's on her fourth rider now, is a completely different beast. Queen Visenya, the original rider, might have been able to call off the attack, but not Aemond.

Funny to me is, they always keep mentioning before that House Velaryon is the richest in the kingdom but the house they put up for House velaryon is like a house that doesnt earn enough funds. I was so looking forward to his castle. Him being the richest man was so overhyped. That Storm’s end is what screams wealth.

Hundreds of years when count the revisions and additions made on the castles. Even Aegon the Conqueror died long before the Red Keep was completed. High Tide was built and completed within Corly's lifetime and its design was meant is meant to give that impression, I think one of the BTS videos mention this.

I loved the mirroring in this episode; when rhaenyra spoke up at a Council meeting, and was laughed out, vs. jace speaking up, and rhaenyra agreeing “ very well.” Both validating her heir and making the decision her own. BRAVO, you thunder kittens
another example of mirroring to a previous episode i feel like was the scene where Otto goes to Dragonstone - it mirrored the 2nd episode where Otto went to retrieve the egg Daemon stole, except this time, when Rhaenyra shows up with her Dragon...she's on Daemon's side and against Otto's
Emma D'Arcy has really brought Rhaenyra to life in such a complex way. They perfectly capture the rebelliousness that Milly portrayed in Rhaenyra's teen years while adding that stark contrast of motherhood and becoming a woman in a world not built for women. I could really feel Rhaenyra's pain this entire episode and it made Luke's death so tragic. Definitely the most shocking moment this entire season !
IDK I just can't get that invested in these characters this time around, especially w/how fast they're rushing everything just so they can get to the official "start" of the dance. The buildup to it is more intriguing and we needed much more time on the characters' relationships development.

Rhaenyra in this episode showed alot of strength. While her mind is bombarded by of grief, confusion and anger. she didnt immediately jumped on the idea of bloodshed. She only broke when Luke died.
The finale was so emotionally charged on so many levels, from a notification of death of a father, stress leading to a miscarriage and now the demise of her sweet boy, wow! That’s a lot to unpack going from wanting to keep peace in the realm to war, so masterfully done leaving our hearts to break for Rhaenyra 💔. Thanks so much to everyone on your team for this awesome season 1, until we meet again. Bravo!
Funny thing is rhaenyra would have probably left the throne is she though it meant war and her boys. Killing Luke was the last straw for her, and another thing, I believe in the books it was daemon who had blood and cheese act, rhaenyra was probably still too broken to act.
I have to say it. Ewan is so mesmerising as Aemond I can't hate his character. His casting is the best thing that happened to this show and I will be in pieces when he leaves
I feel the exact same with Olivia and Alicent. It's a treat to watch professionals who know what they are doing, no matter how awful their characters might be.
What a stupendous episode. It was everything for Queen Rhaenyra. Starting with that painful to watch miscarriage then ending with the horrible accidental death of Luc and the look of fire and blood in her eyes as she peers into the camera
When Luke is sooo busy trying to escape and so afraid of aemond, it's really torturing me. The effect of those breathtaking scene truly left me breathless. My heart goes with him.
ewan was absolutely terrific in the storm's end scene. he was so menacing while luke treated with lord b, and then actually terrifying once he took off the eyepatch (the eye looks crazy good)
I think it was a fantastic choice to make Luke’s death accidental to give that much more dimensions to the Greens instead of having them all be 1 dimensional villains. Both sides have strengths and weaknesses and it’s great to see how much more depth they’re giving this story
In the end it doesnt matter though intentional or not if we learned anything is even though Dragons can be tamed by their riders to ride Aemond was stupid to think he had full control. Daenarys had to shackle Drogon, Viscerian and Rhaegal because of their defiant behavior before they became fully loyal to her wishes. What did Aemond think was gonna happen aggressively going after Lucerys like that on a infant Dragon.

The Greens werent going to just sit back and allow The Blacks to just try and recruit the houses without sending emissaries themselves. I think the main message of this show and the whole Dance is that once you start letting hatred and that level of anger control your life, whether on the Green side of the Black side, it just destroys and destroys, without difference. You always end up losing.

I personally love that Luce's death is an accident caused by the dragons reacting. Aemond made it a game, but Vhagar and Arrax acted out in their own accord. It is really does add to the meaning, dance of dragons.
Rhaenyra at the end of the episode totally portrayed “I’m coming for blood” and set the tone for next season so well. How do they expect us to wait 2 years!
I didn’t think so. Rhaenyra still doesn’t seem angry to me. I’m looking at her like when is this girl going to get angry… if she keeps acting like this they’re definitely going to lose the war.
its kind of crazy how rhaenyra never fights a single battle in the book, the only thing her dragon does in the whole story is kill her own son and then die at the hands of peasants.

I love how they handled that scene between Aemond and Luke. There's no exact recollection on the source as to how it actually happened so how they handled it here was perfect! Aemond and Luke had this feud building up since that scene where they gave Aemond a pig and now they finally come head to head. But what I love is, as much as they want to hurt each other (Aemond more than Luke), they made it as if both men knew there was still a line they shouldn't cross but unfortunately their dragons went berserk.
Rhaenyra is so charismatic... i'm so overwhelmed by her presence every scene she appeared. She truly has ruler's vibe. I hope she could take the throne peacefully but we know what will happen
With that final shot of fire in Rhaenyra's eyes, I was finally convinced why the filmmakers needed Emma D'Arcy over Milly Alcock for this half of the season.

Honestly that's not the look I see there. She still looks just depressed from getting the news about her son. I didn't like the way this show handled many scenes and plot points so far from the book... Not as good as original GOT.

I enjoyed how they played out the tension between Daemon and Rhaenyra. Daemon, ever the realist, knew exactly what was being plotted out and the dangerous power the Greens now posed when Rhaenys told them the Greens were coming for them *and* thier children. When Rhaenyra spoke of the song of ice and fire after contemplating the offer Otto brought to her, he knew her naivite and hesitence was dangerous and could get them all killed, whether she wanted to go to war or not - it was a rage of disgust and disbelief. I hope the showrunners let Daemon support and develop Rhaenyra's transformation into the Black Queen, instead of having him be aloof and distant for the rest of season 2; they spent all of season 1 developing their bond and chemistry, would be a shame to not lean into that more. Would love to see the two of them go pure vengance and wrath together. Emma and Matt absolutely eat the screen, incredible casting.

I feel like Aemond's actor stayed in character for the interview and is letting us know exactly how Aemond feels deep within himself. Like we got to see thoughts he would never share.
That final shot was a truly beautiful and epic way to close the season. It encapsulates how our protagonist has changed over the years, from a child dreaming of being queen to a queen stricken with grief at the cost of her crown. Props to Emma D'Arcy for such a powerful performance!

The ending scene where Rhaenyra peers into the camera with fire and blood in her eyes was absolutely perfect. What a way to end a great season of television that restored our faith in the ASOIAF universe.
Never lost faith in the ASOIF universe. GoT's downfall, if you can call it that, was solely caused by 2 people. Now they have competent showrunners and GRRM helping as well. Finished source material, too, on top of that. This show is in good hands.

@Daniel Laygo Rhaenyra and Syrax have grown up together since Syrax was a hatchling. Vhagar is literally an over hundred years old war machine with a 19 year old teenager on her back needling commands into her brain. Dragons can hear commands, doesn’t mean they’ll listen. This is prolly why it’s much preferred to put a dragon egg in a cradle with Targaryen from birth and have them bond basically like siblings once the egg hatches.
On the flipside, you have Arrax who was the same age as 14 year old Lucerys. Basically a toddler dragon, forced into a situation where it panicked like any child and wouldn’t listen to Lucerys out of fear.
I knew what was gonna happen to Luce, but man. All the actors are so well cast that it sucks to see them start dying.
That boy and his pet lizard was onscreen for less than 10mins in this entire show and I was gutted.
I felt like throwing up.
I agree totally, I would have liked him and Arrax to stay on longer on the show. They would have been a force to be reckoned with.I admired their bravery and spirit. I am heart broken that their end was so tragic.
I think it's going to be very sad to see the dragons and it's riders going down, one by one until only four remain.

What a brilliant way to end this season. I like how they made Luke's death accidental. It not only gives Aemond's character much-needed nuance, but also adds an element of tragic irony to the narrative. The Targaryens believed that their power resided in dragons. But it was eventually their dragons that triggered their downfall. Their object of hubris also became their object of doom.
Vhagar was not playing Games. Just like Viserys Targaryen said "The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion".
Making his death an accident is corny and anti - climatic . Having him killed with intent is more organic and they should have stuck with the book version. Sorry but this made the finale episode lazy.
Thought the same thing. They had assumed the dragons would listen to them, but once there was danger from another dragon, the instincts kicked in. Viserys warned of the hubris of thinking they could control dragons in episode 1. This brings that full circle.

It was a delight to see how they handled the whole "as told by maesters" thing of the Fire and Blood book. For everyone present at the hall of Borros Baratheon, it would seem like Aemond chased Lucerys down with Vhagar and murdered him in cold blood, so seeing how the Dance began because both riders were inexperienced and unable to control their dragons was a fantastic detail.

Vhagar flying above Arrax reminded me of a shark swimming underneath its prey except its in the fucking sky, that was absolutely terrifying and a perfect display of the sheer size of that beast of a dragon.
The way the set up the tension was wonderful. I thought everything would happen within the storm and when both Arrax and Luke reached the light, so to speak only for Vhagar show up in that precise moment.

The most heartbreaking scene in the end was to watch Rhaenyra hold her womb and cry out loudly without making any noise. I mean that scene clearly shows she was torn apart completely she still didn't overcome from the death of her justborn and now she loses her second child. Her grief is beyond our imagination and the look she gives at the end clearly shows that she has no mercy left for the greens now. Though Aemond didn't want Lucerys to death but still his full chase for the little boy truly makes him responsible for his death and begining of the war. Peace and harmony didn't fetch any goodwill for Rhaenyra and ya now we gotta see the darkside of hers. I standstill and support my Queen.

Yes, that small gesture where she holds her lower stomach, her womb, was so so powerful. As a mother everything she did rang true with me, her every gesture and reaction throughout this season were so relatable and familiar to me.

Honestly, i think the reason people spoil like that is bc they're being somewhat proud having read the book, which is something that seems to get rarer these past few years - people mustering the attention span to commit to a book versus the instant gratification of social media and so on. I think it's an outlet of that pride to then take the surprise from people they deem being to lazy to read? Bc many people jump on bandwagons and also often dont care for these storys before theyre presented to them in a flashy tv show.

What a finale, Rhaenyra has done everything in her power to prevent the realm from descending into chaos and keep everything but she has lost so much in the last couple of days that the final loss of Luke is probably the final straw for her and the spark of this whole devastating conflict.

that last shot when Rhaenyra looks at the camera always gives me the chills. Emma perfectly portrayed the feelings of absolute pain, anger, motivation, and revenge with this one scene.
I loved the changed they did with Aemond. It proves that stories need context to be better understood. In the hundreds of years that passed since the dance of the dragons everyone in westeros might have assumed he went and killed his nephew. But it was always confusing to me why would he kill his nephew after so many years that he lost his eye. It was never implied both in text and in the show that he was murderous or sadistic like Joffrey or Ramsey were. So the change makes much more sense in my opinion
Books is account written by masters. Masters were not in the sky to see what actually happened.

Thankfully GRRM is more involved here than in the ending of GoT. As far as i understood his comments to the series he considers this depiction canon so far. Even more canon than the book's accounts of the events. I hope it stays so.

Like originally, in the Song of Ice and Fire series, everyone referred to Rhaenyra as a usurper and a traitor (pretty sure Robert Baratheon said it). This was because GRRM didn't write the part where King Viserys named Rhaenyra the heir yet. Later on, it was obviously retconned and basically changed into "the history book kept out the part when Rhaenyra was named heir"

so wonderful to see how much emma cares for rhaenyra and how much thought has gone into their understanding and portrayal of the character! as a viewer it's so nice to see the same amount of love we the fandom have for these characters reflected in the cast. it definitely shows in the quality of acting & showrunning - especially in that final ep of the season!
The season finale was a show-stopper, the best series of 2022 hands down. It's so heartbreaking that Rhaenyra's son died. Can't wait for season 2.

Now he’s forever branded as a kinslayer and after the retaliation of B&C he will spiral into true madness.. all because of something he didn’t particularly mean to do. The crushing guilt must be immense. I love that nuance. Can’t wait for the next season and the changes in his psyche.

You see why the Targaryens do the whole "dragon egg in the cradle" thing, because dragons who bond with their riders from birth are much easier to control. See how sympatico Caraxes and Syrax are with Daemon and Rhaenyra. But Vhagar, who's on her fourth rider now, is a completely different beast. Queen Visenya, the original rider, might have been able to call off the attack, but not Aemond.

Funny to me is, they always keep mentioning before that House Velaryon is the richest in the kingdom but the house they put up for House velaryon is like a house that doesnt earn enough funds. I was so looking forward to his castle. Him being the richest man was so overhyped. That Storm’s end is what screams wealth.

High Tide was built and completed within Corly's lifetime and its design was meant is meant to give that impression, I think one of the BTS videos mention this.

I loved the mirroring in this episode; when rhaenyra spoke up at a Council meeting, and was laughed out, vs. jace speaking up, and rhaenyra agreeing “ very well.” Both validating her heir and making the decision her own. BRAVO, you thunder kittens
another example of mirroring to a previous episode i feel like was the scene where Otto goes to Dragonstone - it mirrored the 2nd episode where Otto went to retrieve the egg Daemon stole, except this time, when Rhaenyra shows up with her Dragon...she's on Daemon's side and against Otto's
And that got her child killed. Because she made a gigantic error of judgement.

Emma D'Arcy has really brought Rhaenyra to life in such a complex way. They perfectly capture the rebelliousness that Milly portrayed in Rhaenyra's teen years while adding that stark contrast of motherhood and becoming a woman in a world not built for women. I could really feel Rhaenyra's pain this entire episode and it made Luke's death so tragic. Definitely the most shocking moment this entire season !
I knew years ago how luke died. But the emotion they still were able to draw from us is unbelievable.
This series is a masterpiece.
IDK I just can't get that invested in these characters this time around, especially w/how fast they're rushing everything just so they can get to the official "start" of the dance. The buildup to it is more intriguing and we needed much more time on the characters' relationships development.

I have to say it. Ewan is so mesmerising as Aemond I can't hate his character. His casting is the best thing that happened to this show and I will be in pieces when he leaves

When Luke is sooo busy trying to escape and so afraid of aemond, it's really torturing me. The effect of those breathtaking scene truly left me breathless. My heart goes with him.
ewan was absolutely terrific in the storm's end scene. he was so menacing while luke treated with lord b, and then actually terrifying once he took off the eyepatch (the eye looks crazy good)
I think it was a fantastic choice to make Luke’s death accidental to give that much more dimensions to the Greens instead of having them all be 1 dimensional villains. Both sides have strengths and weaknesses and it’s great to see how much more depth they’re giving this story
In the end it doesnt matter though intentional or not if we learned anything is even though Dragons can be tamed by their riders to ride Aemond was stupid to think he had full control. Daenarys had to shackle Drogon, Viscerian and Rhaegal because of their defiant behavior before they became fully loyal to her wishes. What did Aemond think was gonna happen aggressively going after Lucerys like that on a infant Dragon.

@@bryanmahoney3434 but both boys (in the show) seemed to still be learning that as up until that point their dragons have seemed to be under their control and didn’t show disobedience, but when both started to act aggressively they were both shocked and realized too late they can’t fully control the dragons. Daeny was shown learning this as well and is also different as she raised her babies since they were babies
@@nebullae Rhaenyra and Daemon were ignorant to not foresee that was a possibility. Lucerys should have had an escort. The Greens werent going to just sit back and allow The Blacks to just try and recruit the houses without sending emissaries themselves. Also not paying enough attention to the boys animosity towards eachother.

I think the main message of this show and the whole Dance is that once you start letting hatred and that level of anger control your life, whether on the Green side of the Black side, it just destroys and destroys, without difference. You always end up losing.

This episode was so powerfully made from the perspective of Rhaenyra as a woman, that touches on how motherhood, giving birth, managing her spouse, worry for her children, loss of children -- are all intertwined with the responsibility of the crown-- was so impeccably nuanced and well done. The birth scene was just horrific the way the baby hit the floor really was brutal
8:43 to the end tells me that Emma gets it, Rhaenyra's character. Love that honestly because Rhaenyra has been so steadfast for peace this whole time and form her perspective that kindness was paid with violence against her son who is at large innocent. It's awful

I'm intrigued by Aemond, he's a great character, very complex and intense; I'm very excited for what he'll do next season..... Also, amazing casting and superb job by Ewan Mitchell.
I personally love that Luce's death is an accident caused by the dragons reacting. Aemond made it a game, but Vhagar and Arrax acted out in their own accord. It is really does add to the meaning, dance of dragons.
As Viserys said "Dragons are a power men never should have trifled with". This statement from episode 1 was a dark foreshadowing. Love it.
Rhaenyra at the end of the episode totally portrayed “I’m coming for blood” and set the tone for next season so well.

It also sets aemond on a rich path of image versus reality, everyone thinks he is a badass from the books, but much like Jaime he is now tainted with king slaying and fear, the layering of the greens is much appreciated rather than the black and white good and evil from the books

What she says at the end about grief is so true. Losing your child is the worst thing ever, no grief can match it.
I love how they handled that scene between Aemond and Luke. There's no exact recollection on the source as to how it actually happened so how they handled it here was perfect! Aemond and Luke had this feud building up since that scene where they gave Aemond a pig and now they finally come head to head. But what I love is, as much as they want to hurt each other (Aemond more than Luke), they made it as if both men knew there was still a line they shouldn't cross but unfortunately their dragons went berserk.

I enjoyed how they played out the tension between Daemon and Rhaenyra. Daemon, ever the realist, knew exactly what was being plotted out and the dangerous power the Greens now posed when Rhaenys told them the Greens were coming for them *and* thier children. When Rhaenyra spoke of the song of ice and fire after contemplating the offer Otto brought to her, he knew her naivite and hesitence was dangerous and could get them all killed, whether she wanted to go to war or not - it was a rage of disgust and disbelief. I hope the showrunners let Daemon support and develop Rhaenyra's transformation into the Black Queen, instead of having him be aloof and distant for the rest of season 2; they spent all of season 1 developing their bond and chemistry, would be a shame to not lean into that more. Would love to see the two of them go pure vengance and wrath together. Emma and Matt absolutely eat the screen, incredible casting.

Amazing commendable work from not only cast but the writers, the camera crew, the cgi team and more. You’ve managed to give life to GoT fans once again. I can only imagine the pressure they feel considering season 7-8. They’re doing so well~ hopefully they take their time, loyal fans will sit and wait for more quality scenes like this.
Kudos to the writers for creating layers over one-dimensional and ambiguous plotlines in the book. Every actor was in their absolute best❤.
I feel like Aemond's actor stayed in character for the interview and is letting us know exactly how Aemond feels deep within himself. Like we got to see thoughts he would never share.

That final shot was a truly beautiful and epic way to close the season. It encapsulates how our protagonist has changed over the years, from a child dreaming of being queen to a queen stricken with grief at the cost of her crown. Props to Emma D'Arcy for such a powerful performance!
What a finale! The family bond compelled so strongly to the audience, almost felt like loosing a family member myself.
