This was perfect timing as just yesterday I was looking into these guys. An idea for how a Storm giant could be involved for protags: You need a thing, asking around you find out a local Cloud giant has it but are advised that he won't give it up, luckily a Storm giant could just force them to give it up and it just so happens one has offered a single favor in exchange for recovering an artifact they had seen omens of the need for. Honestly, even if the Ordaining suddenly vanished I can't see most of the races shifting all that much. Fire Giant's warlike nature might have them try taking over, but they aren't actually that good at actually waging war. If you bring in Eldritch Giants they might suddenly wind up on top through sheer strength of magic added on to what is blatantly a Storm Giant body, but that is still not a big change. Cloud giants probably wouldn't actually even try to usurp a Storm giant, Frost giants are too weak to do anything to their betters, Hill giants dont even realise they're part of the ordaining, ect. Still a theoretically interesting idea, but unlikely to change much in terms of overall giant levels.
I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the thundering dungeoncast! Good morrow milords! I hope your day is going well, and I thank you for yet another boon of knowledge. Storm giants are interesting creatures, I'm just glad they are one I need not concern myself with given their mostly peaceful nature. They remind me of a humble bumble bee. Peaceful and docile until you disturb it. Although if one does attack these lands of knowledge and laughter in a fit of rage, it'll take far more than 40gp to repay their debt. I wonder though who's lightning is stronger, a storm giants, or that of this paladins smite? Hm, questions for another day I suppose. Until next time good lords of knowledge and laughter! Thanks for another good episode guy's, you rarely disappoint! I will say I prefer the old yellow/green storm giants to current ones. That's what they looked like in my father's old monster manual that I grew up reading, thus that is how I picture them. I hope the alignment chart isn't changed, I think it's great how it is, even if it isn't perfect. I'd describe storm giants as chaotic good with chaotic evil tendencies. If that makes any sense at all, which it probably doesn't. Also I just want to say, I don't blame storm giants for expecting visitors to be respectful. If some random party wandered into my home and was disrespectful I'd get angry too. it's awesome the goal was met! Hope we get more parts to the zelda play through!
Now all three of us have been at the top of the ordining of puns. I would still be at the top had I not been asleep when this episode came out. I'm now angry I've been usurped and must go destroy a town. This comment is merely the calm before the storm.
YEAR OF GIANTS has been great. Might want to hold off on doing the Verbeeg though, it seems like they will be getting a 5th edition update in “Rime of the Frostmaiden.”
Honestly, if the giants did attempt to take over the world of The Forgotten Realms, with how how strong adventurers are, I honestly think the humanoid races would be capable of fighting them off, or at least to a standstill, like what happened with the dragons.
What happens when a storm giant dies? Does their body stay there decaying and a storm rages around it? Could they slowly regenerate their physical body until their conscious storm form can enter back into its body
Well, great swords often should have longer reach, or at least for most characters who use great-swords. Unless it's a notably small great-sword for your size. DnD just treats great-swords like choppier longswords. Heck they don't even treat longswords like they are in real life. Longswords are super-difficult to use one-handed.
My players still haven't figured out the strong correlation between episodes of the Dungeoncast and my "random" monster of the week.
Hmmmmm¿😜

I absolutely love you guys, I am so happy I found this channel. I’ve been showing it to everyone I can
Loo
Been waiting all day, when out of the blue there comes a notification: big guy here
brian looks like he hasn't slept in weeks which confirms, without a doubt, that he did definitely have that baby lol
the personality of Tom Baker's The Bendu from Star Wars Rebels is perfect for a Storm Giant
Best channel for dnd lore !!!

I'll never forget where I was the day I learned will Stark was colorblind.

Pretty sure he mentioned it back in the Githyanki episode.

Do you remember where you were?
Oooo been waiting for this!
Can’t wait for the emperyean episode!
You here the word storm and you know Will’s gonna love this episode.
Fear not, friends! This isn't the last of the big guys! There are still Fomorians and a couple others
Storm Giants are CR13, and a normal Yeti is CR3. So I could see them keeping them like roudy puppies.
Abominable Yeti, CR9 maybe not as often.
I stormed on over once I had waken up and seen the notification.
I saw a portent youd arrive here, I didnt expect it to be so far from our usual comment spot tho
Decided to put myself at the top of the Ordning this time, seemed appropriate.

Storm giants are such great NPCs and Monsters
Titans are at the top of the Ordining, or has that changed?
Top of the giant pile.
Death Giant video? That would be cool.
Trolls are Giants too. also forest giants and sun or desert giants, firbolgs, Verbeegs & more!
They have an episode about ogres and trolls, but it was made before Volo's Guide came out, so they have to catch up with the new variations of ogres.
Awesome I've been looking forward to this episodes🤘

I always got an Ancient Greek vibe from Storm Giants. Passionate (wild), into oracles and shit.
For anther take on Storm giants, there was adventure about a storm giant king in Dungeon #078 called Lear the Giant King.
Thor giants
Probably the descendants of thor after he cross dressed to get his hammer back.
Honestly, if the giants did attempt to take over the world of The Forgotten Realms, with how how strong adventurers are, I honestly think the humanoid races would be capable of fighting them off, or at least to a standstill, like what happened with the dragons.
The big sky guys and ocean guys
Honestly, they kinda sound like buff wizards
May this stay strong., the older dnd channels power and fortune to them sadly stopped updating more or less.
What happens when a storm giant dies? Does their body stay there decaying and a storm rages around it? Could they slowly regenerate their physical body until their conscious storm form can enter back into its body
It's the biggest of the Big guys
chaotic and lawful are the why there lifes run
good and evil are their personlitys
We need a layers of the Abyss episode .

The way Will talks kinda reminds me of Kyle Kulinsky
Who?

Love you guys. But WAY too many adds to be enjoyable compared to your previous videos. You guys gotta go what you gotta do... But damn!!!!
I really hope at some point Wotc quits trying to turn dnd into some kinda social justice warrior bs.
