I think the college matters, but the thing which matters the most is "what you do in those 4 years of your college...". According to me MIT Manipal provides enough opportunities to all the students in almost all the fields in which they want to work or make a career. Regarding placements I think all good companies visit MIT Manipal and that's the main role of a college as far as placements are considered. Now it's the job of students to work hard and crack those companies. Being a BITSIAN myself I can surely say that even in tier 1 colleges few students don't get placements due to their carelessness. Overall, I would like to say that every college has a good as well as a bad side, it's students' responsibility to take advantage of good things and stay away from the bad. @@shashankn4895 In my case I was not specifically preparing for BITSAT. I was just preparing for JEE Mains/Advanced. And let me tell you if you have strong command over concepts then cracking BITSAT would not be a problem. Now coming to your question. If you are specifically preparing for BITSAT then I think HCV is more than enough for physics part of BITSAT and NCERT is also sufficient for Organic/Inorganic chemistry. But sometimes they ask tricky questions in chemistry part. For this you can refer to previous year papers of JEE Mains and BITSAT. Regarding physical chemistry I must say that NCERT is not sufficient. In my slot Physical Chemistry section was somewhat tricky. Although the questions were not that tough but some tricky questions were asked from Mole Concept, redox, thermodynamics, solid state, solutions etc. Regarding maths I must say that If you are doing RD Sharma objective then it is sufficient but time bound practice is required. But if you are talking about the CBSE RD Sharma book then it is not sufficient if your target is even 300+. Maths section of BITSAT has 45 questions. If you have good command over CBSE concepts then you can easily crack around 20 questions. But the difficulty level increases as you will proceed further, although this thing varies from paper to paper. In my paper tough questions were asked from Binomial Theorem and Coordinate Geometry. The catch here is that even if they ask somewhat easy questions in maths section, you have to be very fast. You have to solve 45 questions in that 1-1.5 hour. So, it was quite difficult for me. You need a lot of time bound practice. Also, give a lot of mock test before exam. This will also help you in your English and reasoning part. Keeping all the nonsensical blabbering aside, just tell me one thing how can a student afford to repay the massive education loan with a meger average salary of 30-35k a month (Considering 5Lpa CTC). Remember one thing you may enjoy all the exposure, parties, events etc that you get in these 4 years of engineering but when you will get out of that bubble into the hard reality of life, the loans that you took to pay for this extravagant degree is going to haunt you forever.

I recieved 2-3 calls from different people and they asked me to pay them a hefty sum of 8-10 lakhs and then the rest of admission into manipal will be taken care of by them. The entire process they said went like - 1) i need to register for the exam just like everyone else 2) after getting the admit card and test date, i need to inform them and they will somehow change my test centre to one of their own centres 3) now i need to just go and Mark my attendance, after that they will provide someone at the backend who will be solving the questions and all i need to do is just sit there and watch 4) rank is confirmed and then everything goes the legal way of admission and all . LMAO I don't know if those are legit but yea if it is , manipal authorities need to take care of this asap
Same thing happened with me also. The first such call I received was back in February and the guy was 6 lakhs and said that he would get me rank below 500 in vit exam. At the time I thought it was an obvious scam but since then I have recieved many such calls. But even even if it's true it's still very risky and paying 6 lakhs on top of Manipal's already extravagant fees would kill me

Civil is just good in manipal And now I chaged my mind . Because the average placement package is only made by the CS and it branch , civil, mechanical and other branch students will have to crack government exam because u will not be satisfied by the package given by private companies So my suggestion to u is that if u are getting any government collage u should go for it 👍

If ur Interested in Mechatronics and ur worried about Placement, I wud suggest trying for Mechanical instead. Mech students are Allowed to sit for almost all companies. Besides if ur Interested in Coding or in Electronics, u can always try and get into a Student Project, you'll develop more skills that way than by having a degree.
While filling met form , there is a option if PWD student. I am a PWD student and select that option. So want to ask that is there any quota in mit for PWD student

Check the cut offs. The CCE and CSE cut offs are high (2560 and 866 respectively after 3rd round.). The 3rd round data science cut off was almost 3000, you may as well get data science, enter the counselling process in the 4th round (20-22 September). As of now, at 4000 you get ECE

Yes it can change. Firstly during the initial months there are students who get better branches through intrasliding, and after 1st year according to your first year marks if u have good CGPA then there is a slight chance

Bhaiya I scored great in MIT and I wanna join a college that provides overall development to me. I didn't score well in JEE or in boards therefore I couldn't get into VIT cse in category 1,2. But I'm sure I'll get CSE in MIT But my financial background is weak and I'm not eligible for any scholarships. I'll have to take a hefty education loan (15lac) for to me study here. Do you think it's worth it? Right now I'm hoping that if I keep my head on my shoulders and study well and do good enough coding, I'll be able to land a good enough job to repay this loan. Please answer if this college is for me or not? Should I consider taking the burden of loan?
I don't recommend taking a loan for Manipal. Try & get into a college with lesser fees - don't live with the burden. I'm sure if you work hard enough you can land a super job anywhere.

Prefer a branch over a college. Don't just go for CSE because it has a high package and doesn't just choose Civil just its main campus. You have to spend the rest of your life in that particular field

if you want to live a luxurious life then you can choose Manipal, but believe me try to get into bits,iits or nits, even newer iiits are also better than manipal, keep manipal the last most option, packages of manipal are not at all good they just lie to the aspirants

I guess, he will get CSE in later rounds at MIT too, based on last year's trend. Now, million dollar question, according to you, which one he should prefer CSE at VIT Vellore or CSE at MIT? It would be helpful if you can provide your honest view point.
I don't have much knowledge about VIT Vellore so I won't be able to tell which college is better. It is a known fact that VIT has management quota, strict rules & not so good college life. Strictly because of that I can say Mit is better, but yea - your call.
Kirat Alreja Hello Ma’am, I’m a Computers and Communication second-year at MIT, I was also in a similar situation one year ago. I had to choose between VIT CSE and MIT CCE. The problem with VIT, barring the heavy restrictions on student freedom, is its overpopulation. There are far too many CSE students in VIT, leading to placement opportunities that are few and far between. Manipal has only around 250 CS students in a batch, so the competition for the same job is significantly less. This however, doesn’t mean that getting the job is very easy, only slightly easier.

I recieved 2-3 calls from different people and they asked me to pay them a hefty sum of 8-10 lakhs and then the rest of admission into manipal will be taken care of by them. The entire process they said went like - 1) i need to register for the exam just like everyone else 2) after getting the admit card and test date, i need to inform them and they will somehow change my test centre to one of their own centres 3) now i need to just go and Mark my attendance, after that they will provide someone at the backend who will be solving the questions and all i need to do is just sit there and watch 4) rank is confirmed and then everything goes the legal way of admission and all .
LMAO I don't know if those are legit but yea if it is , manipal authorities need to take care of this asap
Same thing happened with me also. The first such call I received was back in February and the guy was 6 lakhs and said that he would get me rank below 500 in vit exam. At the time I thought it was an obvious scam but since then I have recieved many such calls. But even even if it's true it's still very risky and paying 6 lakhs on top of Manipal's already extravagant fees would kill me
Bro it's fake Manipal have special counselling. They are just traitor who will take 8-10 lacs and will tell you to wait till last round. At last they would tell to move to the next college with that non refundable fee

And now I chaged my mind .
Because the average placement package is only made by the CS and it branch , civil, mechanical and other branch students will have to crack government exam because u will not be satisfied by the package given by private companies
So my suggestion to u is that if u are getting any government collage u should go for it 👍

I am looking for a very good college for CSE branch including govt. colleges like NSUT, USICT IPU,DTU which offers a excellent placementat low fees but I also feel that these top private universities like MIT have better infrastructure , better facilities,study abroad programs and vibrant campus life but their placement is somewhere low compared to these govt. colleges. If ur Interested in Mechatronics and ur worried about Placement, I wud suggest trying for Mechanical instead. Mech students are Allowed to sit for almost all companies. Besides if ur Interested in Coding or in Electronics, u can always try and get into a Student Project, you'll develop more skills that way than by having a degree.

Check the cut offs. The CCE and CSE cut offs are high (2560 and 866 respectively after 3rd round.). The 3rd round data science cut off was almost 3000, you may as well get data science, enter the counselling process in the 4th round (20-22 September). As of now, at 4000 you get ECE

Keeping all the nonsensical blabbering aside, just tell me one thing how can a student afford to repay the massive education loan with a meger average salary of 30-35k a month (Considering 5Lpa CTC). Remember one thing you may enjoy all the exposure, parties, events, diverse cultures etc that you get in these 4 years of engineering but once you get out of that bubble into the hard reality of life, the loans that you took to pay for this extravagant degree is going to haunt you forever.
@Sanket Told in the start itself the video is for those who are serious about Manipal & can afford it - clearly said I'm not pushing to take loan & join Manipal. MIT's avg package is around 7 LPA & deserving students can grab packages at Amazon, Microsoft etc.
If you're not deserving ,AVG package doesn't matter whether it's MIT, BITS or anywhere.
I hope u understand what u get at the end of 4yrs depends on u. Ur quality of life is defined by ur choices , nothing else. Manipal provides eveything , its on the person then.
And this applies to any college in India and thr world.

Bhaiya I scored great in MIT and I wanna join a college that provides overall development to me. I didn't score well in JEE or in boards therefore I couldn't get into VIT cse in category 1,2. But I'm sure I'll get CSE in MIT
But my financial background is weak and I'm not eligible for any scholarships. I'll have to take a hefty education loan (15lac) for to me study here. Do you think it's worth it? Right now I'm hoping that if I keep my head on my shoulders and study well and do good enough coding, I'll be able to land a good enough job to repay this loan.
Please answer if this college is for me or not? Should I consider taking the burden of loan?
I don't recommend taking a loan for Manipal. Try & get into a college with lesser fees - don't live with the burden. I'm sure if you work hard enough you can land a super job anywhere.

Prefer a branch over a college. Don't just go for CSE because it has a high package and doesn't just choose Civil just its main campus. You have to spend the rest of your life in that particular field

Hi Kirat, thanks for posting this video. It is really informative. I have watched your many videos. My son has got admission in CSE at VIT Vellore and his rank in MIT is around 1700. I guess, he will get CSE in later rounds at MIT too, based on last year's trend. Now, million dollar question, according to you, which one he should prefer CSE at VIT Vellore or CSE at MIT? It would be helpful if you can provide your honest view point.
I don't have much knowledge about VIT Vellore so I won't be able to tell which college is better. It is a known fact that VIT has management quota, strict rules & not so good college life. Strictly because of that I can say Mit is better, but yea - your call.
Kirat Alreja Hello Ma’am, I’m a Computers and Communication second-year at MIT, I was also in a similar situation one year ago. I had to choose between VIT CSE and MIT CCE. The problem with VIT, barring the heavy restrictions on student freedom, is its overpopulation. There are far too many CSE students in VIT, leading to placement opportunities that are few and far between. Manipal has only around 250 CS students in a batch, so the competition for the same job is significantly less. This however, doesn’t mean that getting the job is very easy, only slightly easier.
