I knew very little of how to paint , my first painting came out amazing and my professor ( whom I painted it for as a thank you for everything) really liked it.
Watching this video helped me more with the drawling with chalk pencils ! Can't wait to explore more

does this painting need varnish? with the backround being gloss i wouldnt think it needed varnish but the flower however is acrylic only.
Hi Amanda, great question. We'd recommend adding a coat of varnish for a few reasons - it helps protect your artwork, it creates an even, glossy surface and your artwork will be easier to clean further down the track. We hope this answers your question!

Hi Sharon, some techniques are done in real time the first time they are shown, and in subsequent shots are sped up to save time :) we recommend watching the video several times before starting this project, and once you've begun following the PDF attachment and instructions Joe suggests as he paints in the video. You can also slow down the video in Settings > Speed. We hope this helps you and remember to keep creating!
