My girl just turned 2 years old and has started to scream. I almost always ignore or when I realize trying to help her isn’t working I move on and do something else and she calms down on her own. The hardest part of this behavior for me is the mornings waking me up when I’m mentally vulnerable (lol) and just screaming at everything I try to do before we get out of bed to start the day even if she decides to wake up at 6am and I’m just not ready to be up. It makes me so sad and frustrated and I definitely don’t have the mental strength than to just let her have her moment and move on or distract. Hearing this video this morning really helped me connect with the idea this is normal, it’s okay, and we’re not alone in this and it is a part of the human experience. Still wish she would stop haha.
