This brand new design from MetalAce is suited for heavy metal forming and yet is small enough to fit in small shop environments. The 3-leg design includes rubber feet for a stable grip on all floors, but the retractable handle and tip-back casters allow it to move around easily. This on-the-go metal forming machine is perfect for racing needs, auto restoration, sculpture creation, hot-rod building and vintage aircraft restoration. Collision repair professionals will find it useful for smoothing a wrinkled quarter or rocker panel.
Features include a removable lower 3 inch yoke, allowing for use with the included 3 inch wide anvil set or the optional 2 inch yoke and variety of specialty anvil wheels. A handy anvil storage rack keeps lower wheels close at hand and allows for quick radius changes. The tested and true jack mechanism offers a quick-release anvil yoke with precision alignment adjusters. This gives you the ability to quickly remove your work piece for inspection and easily repeat the pressure you were working at, even when changing radii. All MetalAce anvils are made from 4140HT material and feature industry standard flat spots for ideal wheeling. The MetalAce 44F English Wheel is a workhorse wheeling machine for crafting metal with a huge 44-inch capacity. Mounted on 3-inch casters, the sturdy welded frame offers extreme durability and proven stiffness for race car fabrication, auto restoration, and aircraft rebuilding. This is the same machine seen in top NASCAR and hot rod shops around the country and is recommended by renowned metal shaper Ron Covell.
This machine features a quick-release screw lift assembly that raises and lowers the anvil wheel with a 90-degree rotation of the handle. This makes it easy to get the material out and returns back to the original pressure setting, plus the anvils can be changed quickly in this fashion. The anvil yoke has precision adjustments on both sides of the axle support to true the anvil with the upper wheel which can be articulated in any axis. Our anvils are made from 4140HT material and feature industry-standard flat spots for ideal wheeling. Proudly made in the USA using heavy wall tubular construction and powder coated for extra durability. Brand new features include a gusseted throat and new anvil tray.
