Mer is most of time in retro.....what if mer is exalted but combust n retrograde.....how to see this..if possible...... luv to know ur answer. Thanx🙏
How combust is it? Cause Mercury can take some heat, it is used to be around the Sun. Also, the fact that it is retrograde means that it is moving away from the Sun, not towards, so maybe you should trust retrograde periods more than the forward moving times. In my experience exalted and retrograde can be explosive, unpredictable, but not bad, just weird, mostly for other people. In other words it brings opportunities that are maybe fast paced, like Mercury, the kind that ask for a quick decision, or it brings opportunities that nobody else is able to identify(exalted is super-intelligence, while retrograde brings in lateral thinking, ways of thinking that only few access). However, if i were you, i would observe that part of myself, cause with Sun(a luminary is great for conscious observation&meditation, especially in Virgo, where Sun is not that strong, but it is still a luminary in a good sign to use for surrender, activation through contemplative activities and/or devotion; Sun is like a lantern lighting up that house), meditation and contemplation can really open your eyes and show you how to access the goodies Mercury wants to give to you. I don't know the house, but that can tell you more about the type of activity/devotion/practice that could help you activate that Mercury. I myself have a Virgo Sun, in a house exchange with Mercury...However, i have my Jupiter retro directly aspecting that Mercury, so i know how retrograde feels-not just in my head or actions, but in my whole body, since Jupiter is my ascendant lord. I hope this helps you a bit, at least in terms of losing the fear related to the retrograde status of planets. Even if it can be confusing sometimes, retro makes a planet stronger and better for internalising stuff, you know, like really taking in and making that subject your own, while meditation, prayer, or even other activities - that can be seen if you study your chart well- can really help you become the driver of that Mercury, instead of fearing it. One last thing, as a mercurial myself i gotta tell you this: don't expect for a time when you will be 100% sure when making decisions, do not expect to not feel doubt, Mercury is dual and that will never change. Get used to the uncertainty of life, make choices and write down the results for later review, that is how Mercury functions. Other than that, enjoy life's blessings anyway! can we also assess the actual strength of planet by seeing shadbala? for example i am a capricorn ascendant with mercury venus conjunct in 9th house, no malefic aspects on it. mercury is in chitra and mars is placed in 10th house. but in shadbal mercury is relatively weaker. i have read that mercury does not do well in 9th house, even though in my case its exalted. bhabhajeet looking forward to your reply
@@sunandobanerjee7665 I don't know who gave you the information, but Mercury is good in the 9th, especially when exalted, higher education and other things related the 9th should go well. Now of course, Venus is debilitated in Virgo, so Mercury is saving Venus there, that is one reason why the capacity of Mercury goes down a bit as well. So, at a first glance, with no other info, i would say that an aspect of Saturn would actually help here, cause it wouldn't hurt Mercury and it would help Venus, unloading a bit of Mercury's baggage. I would also mention that with this, maybe the chart is trying to tell you to focus on what happenes to Venus and Mars in the divisionals, see what are they trying to teach you. Venus and Mars are both pretty prominent in the chart, but Mars sits in front of the world(10th), while the planet backing him is debilitated(Venus), sitting in the same house with an exalted planet that has great capacity for understanding(Mercury). If you study the divisionals you will most likely be able to understand what they are trying to teach you, however, Mercury functions in trial and error manner, meaning that he tries many things and learns what works. The weakness of Mercury is starting many things and finishing none, so make sure you don't stop trying, but also get to a result with each trial, write it down and decide what it means. It is hard to say more without seeing the entire chart, but if there is no other important aspect, Mercury is definitely the key to solving the puzzle in matters related to the 9th and 10th house of your chart. So see the divisionals, especially D9 and D10, what planet is prominent there? What is the Atmakaraka, Amaryakaraka, and what are they saying? Is one of these planets Ak, Amk, etc? Is Venus better in the divisionals? Is Mars in it's own, exalted, etc? Is Saturn involved with Mercury and/or Venus in D9 or D10? Cause Saturn delays, but certainly delivers! Is Mercury still exalted, or karakamsha? You don't need Venus to be exalted, cause debilitated planets can bring huge material gains too(even spiritual, if the divisionals show later surrender), you just need to see how this planetary trio evolves in the divisionals so that you know what you are moving towards. These details will speak about Mercury's work: you can understant what is Mercury trying to accomplish and what is it's highest potential in doing so. Best of luck!🙏🤗

But I feel there is no need to complicate stuff here. i have seen charts where planets seem to be in excellent dignity but weak in shadbala, they don't promise good results at all. I have also encountered charts of people who died early because of disease or health related issues, lagna lord shadbala is extremely poor, as well as sun and moon, even though if you look at their charts you will find ohh lagna, lagna lord both are so strong, exalted etc etc. . In my case, in d9 chart mercury is sitting in Leo ( my d9 lagna) and aspected by saturn and mars. Venus is not afflicted and sitting in aquarius in 7th house of d9. No doubt an exalted unafflicted Mercury will give good intelligence and communication skills, but doesn't mean it will help you elevate in every aspect of life. mercury indeed is not good in 9th house as mentioned in several classics, because it's the natural house of Jupiter. You are sure to face some issues related to your luck depending on the strength of your mercury. and d9 , d10 in my chart clearly indicates an afflicted mercury. I always keep facing obstacles in my work even though I put a significant amount of effort and keep my heart in the right place. In most of my divisional charts, mercury is afflicted both by saturn and mars. I am commenting on such stuff because I have been into astrology for the past 4 years, I even have several horoscopes which I study and try finding patterns and missing links.

Sir, I went through all my shodashvarga charts and I found that my mercury is placed in fire signs in all Varga charts(9 times placed in Sagittarius, 4 times in Leo and 3 times in Aries). Is it bad since not even in 1 chart it is placed in Earthy or Airy sign?
