Joel & Carolyn's Tinghun

Here's one of the Chinese engagements that I shot and the one thing that I love about it is how sacred it is. That's really the word that I would use: sacred. There is a certain sense of reverence in these types of events that I am really drawn to: the hushed tones of the guests greeting one another, the serene smiles of the nephews and nieces, the elegance of the wardrobe of everyone present in the event--everything is just seamless. Everything is so romantic--in a modern type of way.
It is already an enormous privilege to photograph an event of this degree but to have a friend who I have served with in the church ministry is even better. Thank you, Carolyn for giving me the honor of photographing your engagement with Joel. And Joel, I am always grateful to you for trusting me to document this special event.
And it goes without saying, everything wouldn't be possible without the blessing of the Lord. God is faithful--always and forever. We have learned to love because You first loved us. ♥
