Trapped in the Matrix is an Amnesty International report highlighting concerns about how people come to be placed on the Gangs Matrix.
Here Dr Erinma Bell and Lucy Powell are trying to raise awareness on the fact that the Gang Matrix approach via MMAGS and Xcalibar has only exacerbated the whole gang issue rather than solve it. Also the fact that more black youths are being tried in courts under the JE initiative, which is an outcome of Cameron's War on Gangs where they redefined the word 'gang' to mean 3 or more people. Amongst other things which define the gang, such as Grime. Is listening to Grime music and using social media a gang thing??
