Yes you're right.. it's just that many Indians and youngsters aren't aware of Nusrat Sahab's legendary contributions.. some people don't realise how much more incredible he is from everyone else..
So, some people like to compare Rahat's voice to Nusrat Sahab to show how much greater he is...
I am a young Indian born after the 2000's.. but I always enjoyed Sufi music, and recently I listened to Nusrat Sahab's old songs for the first time... And I was blown away by how great he is.

Rahat Bhai aapki yeh qawwali ke saamne humara sar jhuktaa hai. Sufi Islam sai niklee is khubsurat pyaar ke saamne humaara dil jhuktaa hai.
Sach ke saamne humaree aatmaa bhee barbaad ho jhaatee hai. Kyunki humain pataa hai ke is sach se HEE Khuda ko payaa jhaataa hai. Aur hum unse bahaut dur ho kar bahaaut darad me hain. Jis darad ko aisee chotee chotee qawwaliyon se hee shantee miltee hai. Aapko humara dil se pyaaar aur kadhar kaa bharaa huaa pranaaam. Jheete or gaate raho aap.
