Alan & David Osmond: Fighting Disease Like a Rock Star

- Merrill Osmond began singing with his big brother Alan when he was four years old. For the next couple decades, they literally sang side-by-side. In 1987, Alan was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Out of the spotlight, he helped raise eight boys with his wife Suzanne. About 20 years later, his son David was diagnosed with the same disease. Both of them have battled MS, truly, like rock stars.
I'm a Big Fan of the Osmond's and always will be

We love you, Osmond family!!!
My heart goes out to you!! My sister has MS. I do the MS walks and she gets the T-shirt, medal, etc...that I earn, and the MS Society get the donations from me!! Luckily my sister is still up and walking with the aid of a cane.
The Osmond family has risen above so many challenges. ADMIREABLE .

8 bos what a blessing! Alan blessed the world with all those Osmonds
Been an Osmond fan since 1972. Still love them today. My favorite always was & forever will be Wayne!!
Wayne never got enough credit. The most well-rounded and talented Osmond in my opinion.
I've seen videos recently Wayne has implants to hear. He's lost his hearing.
It's still his deep voice for me.
😊
God bless you. What a beautiful story of love and hope. Love you guys 💜💜
Beautiful
Keep on having the faith. You will keep moving forward. Love to the whole family!!🥰🥰❤❤🙏🙏
I love these guys. Made me tear up
What a beautiful outlook and family!
This is the strongest most determined family I’ve ever seen, it’s not surprising that Alan is still up walking & moving. And David has that same grit that Alan has; that all the Osmonds have; they never let anything keep them down. Love & Prayers for you both. 🙏🏻♥️👍🏻😊
Wonderful singers. Osmond or The Osmonds

I LOVE THE OSMOND FAMILY SO MUCH THAN DO NOT GIVE UP 💗🎉😊❤❤❤
MS runs on my mothers side of the family. I had two aunts who had the worst form of it and a cousin who passed from (something else) just as she was diagnosed. I believe Mitt Romney's wife has MS as well and Annette Funicello had the more severe form as my aunts had.
MY BLESSINGS TO YOU ALAN 🙏
I have always loved this family
So sorry to hear this Alan and you son David I hope that the rest of your kids don't have Ms ! My prays are with you! I'm a big fan of your saw all of you back in the 70 s in Peoria I'll. With me and my cousin and a friend and my aunt! I've seen all of your concerts on utub in here and I had your brother record Donny's album and love me for a reason record and my cousin had crazy horses and Jimmy's record
Your are to beautiful people, god will guide you both 🙏🙏💗💗
This family is a fighter
Osmonds stand strong to their faith throughout their entire public lives and private lives and show how God carries them through no matter what the life challenge is. When I was young, I loved their music. As I grew up, I paid attention to how they dealt with life's blows and took lemons always making lemonade. I hope they all know how many millions of us paid attention to the way they've handled lifes trials and took notes and were inspired to stand fast in faith as well.
Wow amazing family
Your both amazing
Thank you dear menxx
My Momma had MS. She lived with it for 52 years.
We love the Osmond family! The only concert my parents allowed us to attend was The Osmonds.
You sure make me happy
NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING
very good
1982. I'm going, working, two kids, divorced, trying to keep up. And I start falling. Times the body just said....nope. They took me in, did an MRI that was inconclusive but there were ...protein markers?...in my spinal fluid and the doc says, "I think it's MS." I had no idea what that was. Three years later, suddenly things stopped. I could go just as hard as ever. Then about 8 years ago, I started falling again. Cramps in my legs that kept me up all night trying to walk them out, crying. Sometimes it's my neck, other times it's my arms. Never the same place, seems like. And I know...it's back. I've been in and out of the wheelchair, I'm on a cane part of the time, but out of the house for more than a quick run and it's a wheelchair. My husband is a blessing, he cooks, cleans, takes care of me.
Alan, you've been an inspiration. I've been a fan since the 60s, my birthday is 2 years and 2 days after Jay and about 10 months before Donny's. So I've been in love with you guys since the beginning. And I've followed your battle with MS. And now I found out your son has it too. You're both an inspiration. Thank you, for being you, for all the great fun and music, and the example of courage in the face of a disease that is frightening. Thank you.
🙏🙏🙏💟💟
Blessings for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your story. You are indeed an inspiration for your family and so many others who know you or read what you wrote. I hope you get better and have no pain. The best for you!!!🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺❤❤❤❤
MY BIRTHDAY 🎂 🥳,,JOYCE C GARON BARBER, 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
😢😢😢😢😊😊😊❤❤❤, I REMEMBER READING 📚 , ABOUT YOU ALAN OSMOND ,
My father in law had MS, my sister in law has MS and they dealt with it the totally opposite way, total denial and Blame, they are miserable
Are Alan and David doing better now
Greatest group of all time
My Mother , my middle brother had, and the younger of my brothers has MS. It is an unfair disease , I hate the fact that in the 40 years since my mother passed, there is still not enough information and help available.
I wish Alan and David well and hope they remain a true inspiration for fighting this disease.
It's a family curse .Now you need to curse that curse.
