I'm SO sorry for missing this comment!! Unfortunately, if Royal isn't offering this on their excursions, you will have to book it on your own, through Chankanaab. There are tons of taxi's in the area that can take you there and back for a good price.
Do you know, if you do the dolphin/manatee/sea lion show excursion through a cruise line, is there extra time available to explore Chankanaab? I'm wondering if we have to go back at the end of the group excursion portion, or if we can stay for a few more hours. Thanks for the info you shared!
We had a few extra hours after playing with the dolphins to explore. They communicate very well with you so you know time limits, so there are no surprises. Enjoy it! We did

I'm not sure if Royal is partnered with them or not, and I don't remember the exact name of the excursion, to be honest. My girlfriend set it all up, and she doesn't remember either. But, you could grab a taxi for an affordable price and they'll take you there without any problem. The only advice I would strongly suggest is that you leave at least 2hrs before the ship leaves port. There are taxis that will be at Chankanaab to take you back in time too. I hope this helps 🤞
@@crystalhewitt595 The one I booked was called Dolphin Encounter at Chankanaab National Park. I booked it for a cruise on Wonder of the Seas in December 2022.If I remember correctly there were various tour options based on the type of dolphin experience you wanted, e.g. encounter, swim etc.
It wasn't unsafe by any means. I think my gf just referred it to that as being a little unclean at the time. Nothing serious. The whole resort there is very safe and friendly.

How can I book the same tour? I’m going on the Serenade of the seas and I don’t see it as an excursion. Please help

There’s a restaurant on the end of the beach it’s a large hut, it’s not the first hut, walk past massage area and it’s right there . Great park

Is there a spot on the beach where sand goes to the beach or is it all rocks all around?
if I remember right, there is a little area where there's some sand.

@JulieMai_ I was just at Mr Sanchos 2 weeks ago. It was, and is as always, perfect! Not to mention, the food is much better.

US dollars are accepted and I'm sure it's preferred. They also accept credit cards.

Lol. I asked my girlfriend if she remembers what made it "mildly sketchy", and she doesn't remember. All-in-all, it was a nice place.
