I always peep how the breakfast club treat Caribbean artists. Big up Angela Yee for always being so prepared and treating our Caribbean artists with the utmost respect especially being Caribbean decent.
Yes, Angela is Carubbean. The Black diaspora is a beautiful flower garden, beautiful , diverse, and awesome. Those of us are lucky who come from Caribbean descent and grew up as Black Americans and mersed in both cultures and maybe that makes it easier to appreciate the entire diaspora including Africa and Central and South America. We a fabulous, awesome, diverse, spectacular , resilient, resourceful people. 😊
True queen. Every woman should look up to her to see what Elegance in class looks like. This woman is so humble yet has done things that some of the biggest celebrities would pay millions to experience.
Angela Yee is a prize. We really need to start valuing BLACK WOMEN more in our community. We have a bad habit of downplaying our women to make men feel better about our position in society. BIG UPS TO BLACK WOMEN LOVE FOR YOU OVER HERE
Great interview, Nadine i applaud you for overcoming all the obstacles and speaking so eloquently. I for sure have seen her dance and have danced with her before. Angela one love for giving Jamaican, Caribbean talent the opportunity to showcasing the culture and the music of reggae and dancehall, soca, calypso just to name a few.
Ijust said the same on fb. Yee is responsible for all the reggae dancehall acts on the bc. But we gonna have to keep up with her new show. NOw, idk if i can lol
💯 she has thorough knowledge and background on the artists/entertainer and their music, books (when applicable) and their bizness. Yee is a well rounded conversationalist
Nadine Sutherland is definitely a Legend. 🇯🇲❤🔥 Her voice is beautiful. My favorite part of the song "Action" was her singing and I also love her singing the hook on Buju Banton's "What Am I Gonna Do".
I remember when I was 4 years old, my mother use to always play action and I always liked that song. It was probably my first song I can remember in my childhood. It’s nice to see she’s still relevant 20 years later.
I am also a trained dancer and I specialize dances in the African Diapaora. Colonialism and religion shunned the movement of the hips. This is my mission to teach this and wake people up to the magic of black dance.
I watched this documentary on the African country of Zanzibar right here on UA-cam and I saw a traditional dance with Native women dancing around a fire the moves are literally identical to Twerking as we know it today undoubtedly twerking originated in Africa.
“For some it’s a center cultural thing whining or twerking, for others it’s a different lens “A Victorian Lens” 💯What an amazing woman and interview 💐👏🏿🖤
TEACH DEM brought a lot of reggae/dancehall pioneers back to the masses. Nadine had a great interview with him check it out on UA-cam along with others.
@@kenocarty they clearly are speaking on Jamaican artists. Obviously you don’t know who those ppl are that she mentioned. She mentioned artists that she listens to who aren’t as big as spice. She never mentioned spice but she’s the only one who kept dancehall and reggae alive for the past decade before shenseea even thought to do music. That’s what she has to do. Give credit where it’s due.
@@DaniBell12 Spice has been doing her thing but she hasn't kept no dancehall and reggae alive. Vybz Kartel keeps dancehall alive and multiple persons keeping reggae alive. You are reaching with Spice!!
Big up Nadine Sutherland the legend and the breakfast club. Afrobeat is completely different from afro-dancehall or afro fusion. The problem is most African artists popular in America do both. Also, people in America classify all music from Africa as Afrobeat. Some of these music if play it Africa people will say is dancehall, and then you play a different music by the same artist and they will tell is Afrobeat or macosa or bongo flavo or ampiano or Rumba. They all sound different.
I always peep how the breakfast club treat Caribbean artists. Big up Angela Yee for always being so prepared and treating our Caribbean artists with the utmost respect especially being Caribbean decent.
Angela gave a terrible intro for Nadine...no prep for intro..big up to Nadine!
This aspect of Caribbean artists will be missed.
@Certified Chef Pamela so Jamaica isn’t apart of the Caribbean? Oh ok 💀💀 comprehension is key.
Angela is the one who brings Caribbean artists on here so this will be missed.

How come bfc always only give the Caribbean artist 20-30 mins? We need 45-50 mins. Can we get an interview with Lady Saw before Yee leave?
