***** Don't tell us about learning the culture...It is disrespectful from an OG to act like that. Even though I respected Benji from his battle with Crumbs, but stunts like this which are obviously agreed with Youval are nothing to be proud of. He could have done that in a cypher, not like this. I don't think a bboy of his reputation should act like a fame digger... and to conclude it, Menno smoked him :)
@andrew shea You're right, to an extent. It's not uncommon for a Bboy to call out another dope, maybe better known Bboy who is visiting the scene in order to test their skills, gain some experience, and maybe earn some respect. However, this just feels...staged. First, usually these call outs go down in the cyphers - that's primarily where most call outs happen. As a promoter, you don't want bboys calling each other out on the main floor because you have a schedule to get through and ish, and that's why you provide cypher room on the sides, breaks for cyphers, etc. So that brings two questions to my mind: why did Benny make a big scene and choose to call Menno out on the main stage instead of the cyphers, and why didn't the promoter tell him to take it to the cyphers or elsewhere? Here's the reason: it's because Benji does this every fucking week. He waits until whoever is judging or visiting is on a big stage, he takes them completely by surprise with some ridiculous entrance, and then he either gets wrecked or talks mad shit about them if they don't feel like battling him. And they're not obligated to - this isn't a cypher, most of the time it's a showcase where you're supposed to just watch, show respect, and then move on. Meanwhile, the promoters love this shit because it gets people semi-hype and basically becomes an exhibition battle, which they would usually have to pay these visitors to compete in but since it's a "call-out", they get the extra entertainment for free. Basically, these promoters are almost forcing these judges and other visitors to provide a service that they're not going to be paid for, while the promoters still profit. I've actually seen clips of these promoters getting pissed off when the bboys who are called out don't take the bait, when in reality the promoters shouldn't care at all whether they do it or not, right? This shit has been well-documented by the bboys who have basically been extorted - they've called these promoters and benji out on social media, bboyworld, etc. I understand where you're coming from, but there's a fine-line between trying to keep the culture real and just plain-old manipulation / fraud.
Menno looked like he's been caught off guard, I don't think he was expecting this with his casual clothes on if he knew he was going to be in a Battle he would have wore his trademark tracksuit.

It's not the call-out, but why and how he did it. Usually you call someone out for a reason and you pick the right time and place. I don't buy the argument that Benji's some young kid trying to make a name, haha. Benji just wanted attention and chose a really crappy time. It can be a problem for the jam's schedule if you take up center stage with a long, unscheduled battle. I've seen venues kick us out so that we've had to relocate for a finals. That's why the cyphers are perfect for call-outs. You get to make your point, and everybody else can still do their thing. Peace.

They're both very skilled because their interpretation of bboying in dancing is different. You can easily tell as they go 2-3 rounds in that they both have unique interpretation.

Honza Rappresent youval and benji plan these callouts in order to get a free (which should otherwise be paid for and well prepared by the bboys involved) exhibition. It's wack. but look how many views they get on their vids. They do it for a reason. Youval has been doin this for years to get free exos for his events
Carefully observe right after Benji's entry....the MC straight up setup the battle....I mean wtf ! Both Benji and the MC planned this shit ! Waaaack ! And then Benji talks about true bboy and shit when he did the same to Lilou. That time he had the internet's sympathy. Now ?
Man, wtf? bboying is not all about being complete. This is what redbull want you to be. Now a bboy cannot rock if he doesn't make footwork power and toprock but for me the main thing is to have your style, whatever you doin, a bboy like Zeshen or rubberlegz , and as well Benji have their own style and kill it. But redbull is changin minds all over the bboying scene, so now everybody want to see a copy as Munir or whatever. I mean, it's great to be complete, surely the best thing to do as a bboy, but if you do power, don't try to make fucked up footwork like Lil g for exemple, just do your thing. If you do footwork like Zeshen, just do footwork... But I agree benji didn't win this one, wich is pretty normal.
@ben ummm that's not from redbull that's just in the general art of Breakin, it's okay to have that niche/style that you're known for, I mean look at Bboy dyzee he has crazy moves/threads /legwork that's what he's known for but he's one of the well rounded Bboys around if he was to get called out;( with has happened on numerous occasions) he can go for days, Benji used all his signatures and blow ups and started to repeat or Had to flip his moves,
I just love how Menno handled that battle. Benji looked so tired at last, and Menno could go 5 more rounds EASY! Nice try Benji... But please come prepared next time.
Menno was tired he had to do perform for couple of minutes before the call out. But I like the attempt of humiliating Benji by doing short rounds making him do repeats of his moves. Menno still came pretty fresh. Respect for both of them.
We have been watching Benji and Youval for some time and believe they may be conspiring and orchestrating these 'by chance' call-outs (Benji being a 'business associate' of Youval) and we will be looking into this matter later, as for the other charges made in the comments below the Hip Hop Police have reason to believe .. 1. Benji feels he doesn't need to Top Rock because his Q's are Blow-Up/Trick based and the rhythm of his attacks give little time for Tops (you can argue this isn't 'traditional' but Battles are their own monsters and 'dialogue' between dancers will always be subject to personal styles/tastes of those battling) plus there are TopRock battles now so the necessity to include it in a battle scenario is maybe less these days 2. The outcome was inconclusive as it was called to a halt (by Benji), the Hip Hop Police have reason to believe - as proved in the Benji/Crumbs battle - that Benji can whip a circle into a frenzy for 5-10minutes but then runs out of moves/repeats and the longer a battle goes on the more the crowd flat-lines until his over-amped/arrogance loses him favour, Menno on the other hand was just getting warmed up jabbing his way thru every round but by the time he was 'top-off' and ready to start throwing some meat in with the potatoes Benji was spent, in a 2-3 round battle Benji is deadly but an indefinite round scenario suits Menno way more Love him or hate him, whether you think him 'the Biter' or 'the Bitten', on this occasion no charges will be made continue your day sir...
THE HIP HOP POLICE Benji destroyed Menno. As I posted previously there is a difference between a staged battle ( exhibition ), Crew vs Crew, and a 1v1 Cypher battle. This being a Cypher battle. No need for Top rocking for a minute to get on beat. Pretty much what you mentioned somewhere in the middle of your paragraph. Benji was flowing his moves on sync with the music. other that Menno may not be built for 1v1 Cypher battles. Its a whole different style of battle.
THE HIP HOP POLICE LOL your name is hilarious rofl oh my god, made an account & everything just to WRITE about something....wow, its just a call out relax
+THE HIP HOP POLICE Nah, definitive win for Menno. Even though he smoked on the floor and could win on more contemporary judging standards in a heartbeat, traditionally you lose when you quit a cypher (call-out) battle.
gotta give love to anyone that can go 1 vs. 1 for 10+ mins. shit was insane... oughta be charging a premium to all the biterz out there, too. So much originality.
I think BENJI is really a pirate, he was a very new person who maintain a nice freez style, very difficult and often spectacular. i watched his old battles some of his enemies for example Crumbs is a giant dancer and powerstyler person, and Benji made many hard stuffs, and he just rarely use his powers what is incredible too. I don't know how could he didnt participate sometimes, but I think he is one of the biggest dancers nonetheless he got some bullying. Urban legend like Menno.
I understand in most cyphers originally the circles were really close and all, but people forget the styles of bboying have changed. Thanks to the addition of new powermoves, blow ups, and freezes, those small circles aren't going to cut it. They need to BACK the fuck up.
It's just funny that Benji calls him out then calls it quits at the end cuz obviously he's out of inverts (Cause thats all he does) lol Menno puts in top rock, footwork, transitions to his knees, head, arms, back, and puts in power move combinations with his footwork. Menno was dancing his cards right and was solid each round. The winner was Menno before the MC and Benji planned this out. Lol
it's HipHop. people call people out. respect to both Benji and Menno. in my opinion, Benji DOES dance, just not necessarily on his feet. He is moving to the music, just not how most people do. Originality deserves respect. Menno being original within the foundation framework, he deserves respect. What I don't understand is why people are upset about this. Benji and Menno give each other respect afterwards, and they just put on a fantastic battle exhibition, why anyone is upset is beyond me. What if this clip inspires the next generation of dancers to take it to the next level? Be grateful.
Menno winner for me too.. dats bboying right dere. Benji just looking for fame. Menno already gat dat.. and he knows wat d culture is all about. Menno's flow is still crazy.. can't beat that.
What y'all fail to understand is that menno Accepted the battle. Benji is one of the old school legends in the game. This is a battle. Y'all need to understand how battles work then come on here and say what you want. Until then, don't comment on shit that you guys don't understand at all
Yea but lot off people here is eboy or edancer that never actually doing a real things, they never understand the history behind callout things or how street culture work, if ur real u have to be ready whenever people callout u that how its work. Please they can do it anywhere actually, like me for ex i have been callout in the parking ground after the battle, suddenly many people came and ask me to battle them, and ofc i will accept it , thats how its work. Dont get a culture shock coz of that coz lot of event now its just a competition not real deal
Hahahahahaha after reading these comments, let me school you E-BOYS real quick. Menno got called out by Benji a B-Boy legend from the 1990's and you got Menno Red Bull BC One champion these dudes put in hard work in what they do and they are both original in their own style no win no lose just straight up representing no one got smoked besides there were no rules. Just seeing these comments you guys sound like bunch of E-Boys all talk and nothing to back it up, by the way the battle was epic let's just leave at that!!! ✌
All of u have to understand that in a Call Out, There aren't winners. It's just for respect, that's what u win, respect just that, u dance for that piece of respect and that's enought.
called Menno out after a judge showcase and in the most disrespectful way possible. U have reason here. Benji was in it for the attention and got smoked by a real bboy. Who say it? RBBC1? Who knows what a real bboy is? The bboy is on the floor, that's all.
I mean, he probably wasn't even stretched out. You gotta warm up or you might get hurt. And this wasn't even much of a challenge for Menno, honestly.
If we use the R16 Judging system we can say : Foundation : Menno Originality : Benji Dynamics : Tie Execution: Menno Battle : Tie 2 for Menno and 1 for Benji Winner : Menno (It's just a point of view)
Benji isn't that original. He repeats like crazy and most of his moves were taken from LoZ and Ground Zero Crew in the 90s. Menno has far more variety and actually has transitions. He uses different levels. To call dynamics a tie is also perplexing, since Benji either sat down or was on his head stationary for most of the battle. Also not sure how you thought Benji's battling was on point with Menno. Menno controlled the pace of the rounds and the entire battle until Benji had to quit. Benji's stance consisted of some cowardly sneak attacks (really, call-out during a judge showcase while his back is turned?) and broke the 1 rule of battle multiple times: no touching.
Fid Fiddles He's had over a decade with those moves. I'd hope he wouldn't stll be doing the exact same thing, haha. The bigger point, though, is that he's not that special, just louder than the average bboy.
Very nice battle. benji has been a little hurt by his endurance to the end of the call out but nice performance for him and Menno. And congrats for them for this battle and to energize this discipline. Peace
y'all need to know your facts. it doesn't matter what a bboy did in the cypher if he concedes, it's all about the last man standing in the cyphers, and benji conceded. but props to benji, i can see him on the come up with this comeback and he made a big statement.

ATOMIC DANCE FACTORY Even in that battle between crumbs he pulled down Crumbs pants, and the crowd booed Benji
Two different styles, and both one of the few bboys left that are original these days. Big respect to Benji & Menno
Judges need to start charging a premium in France for "possible surprise exhibition battles." This is bullshit.

Carefully observe right after Benji's entry....the MC straight up setup the battle....I mean wtf ! Both Benji and the MC planned this shit ! Waaaack ! And then Benji talks about true bboy and shit when he did the same to Lilou. That time he had the internet's sympathy. Now ?
No disrespect Benji but dude can you do some top-rocks and footworks? You did not win this callout at all bro.
Lol....
Man, wtf? bboying is not all about being complete.
Ben Muhammad uhh but zeshan actually dances to the music
***** He does but he cannot be considered as a complete bboy since it seems that he doesnt have any tricks or any powers
@ben ummm that's not from redbull that's just in the general art of Breakin, it's okay to have that niche/style that you're known for, I mean look at Bboy dyzee he has crazy moves/threads /legwork that's what he's known for but he's one of the well rounded Bboys around if he was to get called out;( with has happened on numerous occasions) he can go for days, Benji used all his signatures and blow ups and started to repeat or Had to flip his moves,
..no wonder benji never win any champions.................benji +youval to much politic ............
Dude ,calm down ,dont react like menno is better
Amazing battle ! Originality on menno and benji are crazy, this time menno took it for me !
At least at the end of this battle Benji show back his respect. Thats real!
Mennonite literally done same moves for 4 rounds don't get me wrong made respect to him but u lot just hating on Benji guys got skills
@@pretzelzotikos1885 Benji repeated r u lot blind or just high hahaha watch it again menno done his signatures for 4 Rounds straight
@@yas_alldayallday2956 benji was on his knees 70% of the time
You cant see menino's details with a narrow mind
We have been watching Benji and Youval for some time and believe they may be conspiring and orchestrating these 'by chance' call-outs (Benji being a 'business associate' of Youval) and we will be looking into this matter later, as for the other charges made in the comments below the Hip Hop Police have reason to believe ..
1. Benji feels he doesn't need to Top Rock because his Q's are Blow-Up/Trick based and the rhythm of his attacks give little time for Tops (you can argue this isn't 'traditional' but Battles are their own monsters and 'dialogue' between dancers will always be subject to personal styles/tastes of those battling) plus there are TopRock battles now so the necessity to include it in a battle scenario is maybe less these days
2. The outcome was inconclusive as it was called to a halt (by Benji), the Hip Hop Police have reason to believe - as proved in the Benji/Crumbs battle - that Benji can whip a circle into a frenzy for 5-10minutes but then runs out of moves/repeats and the longer a battle goes on the more the crowd flat-lines until his over-amped/arrogance loses him favour, Menno on the other hand was just getting warmed up jabbing his way thru every round but by the time he was 'top-off' and ready to start throwing some meat in with the potatoes Benji was spent, in a 2-3 round battle Benji is deadly but an indefinite round scenario suits Menno way more
Love him or hate him, whether you think him 'the Biter' or 'the Bitten', on this occasion no charges will be made
continue your day sir...
This was a really well thought out investigative report on battle i agree with most of what youre saying lol
THE HIP HOP POLICE Nice job officer! Glad to have you around!
Benji trying his best and Menno is like only giving 5% LOL!!!!!!!! MEnno Wins without even trying
I don t think so
THE KING IS BACK ;)
I think BENJI is really a pirate, he was a very new person who maintain a nice freez style, very difficult and often spectacular. i watched his old battles some of his enemies for example Crumbs is a giant dancer and powerstyler person, and Benji made many hard stuffs, and he just rarely use his powers what is incredible too.
Be grateful.
very short rounds from Menno Oo
BENJI ENTRANCE WAS EPIC!
on his freezes. they both made me clap my hands in awe cause theyre both nice. crazy moves.
good battle. both did dope. respect throughout.. still fire.
Dope battle! I love both of these guys- they got deep wells.
I figured he got called out
I hope Menno is getting paid that extra dough for this set up battle.
Its a call out, why would u get paid for that.
@@nori4051 because... it was a setup.
Abraham Giraldo and they would pay you why? Set up or not, its still a “call out”. This battle isnt a competition.
Well done Benji !
Kill'em all newbies!
Newbie? Lol :D
You're don't know anything about bboyin if you think that Menno is a newbie ^^
blablabla. E-Boy!
2LooseBeats Compared to Benji? He's a baby.
oldSchool never die Benji win's Bitches haha
It was a good battle/exchange.
I liked both of them.
It was nice seeing neat moves from Benji.
It was fun to see that it lasted a while. ⚖️
Menno for me
Starting a battle like that is AWKWEIRD, I wonder how tech rehearsal went?
Benji nao danca rasteza
I LOve Benji, but here Menno Wins!
Dayuum menno and his flows!
Lol Benji got nothing else to do but calling out cats ON STAGE. Do it in a cypher if you wanna settle something. Menno is the man.
Yes nice, benji is creativity footwork exelent Bboy legendary real bboy
+hugo maigua Benji doesn't even do footwork for more than 2 steps. He's all stunts, threads, and repeats.
Very good exhibition for both dancer's.,Even if set-up or (Staged). Both show obligation too battle,.
whats the songname by 2:07 ??????DOPE SONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rrich82 Poor Righteous Teachers - Mi Fresh
thecrushmike Thank you so much!!
thecrushmike thx bro :)
You're welcome
what camera is used to film that video , the song is great
Winner Menno
Real bboys call out a bboy on a "CYPHER"
Hahahahahaha after reading these comments, let me school you E-BOYS real quick. Menno got called out by Benji a B-Boy legend from the 1990's and you got Menno Red Bull BC One champion these dudes put in hard work in what they do and they are both original in their own style no win no lose just straight up representing no one got smoked besides there were no rules. Just seeing these comments you guys sound like bunch of E-Boys all talk and nothing to back it up, by the way the battle was epic let's just leave at that!!! ✌
Benji kingz !! yeaah yeaaah
The battle who you respect.
When boy benji gon start breaking
Benji roasted him with some awesome stuff. Menno held his own well for the ambush.
Benji is old but steel so creative and flexible provocation just is style
this is the only time i enjoy menno dancing.
"je suis fière de toi mec...".xD XD
respect to Benji. real hiphop happends outside the "official battles", and outside the TV
Louie Derek Ortiz Rojas
And on the floor, Menno has more stamina, wider range, better use of the floor, and more flow. Game. Set. Match.
good show
and in the end Benji told; - Menno, YOU DESERVE IT!!!
what is the first song of B Boy Benji in this competition???
i see the future asnd i see shoulders roll x 100... bboy menno!!!
the moment menno proved to the world that he is a TRUE bboy champion
they're both dope!
menno has good battle tactic to dance light moves a half battle. after that started to blow up. nice
I mean, he probably wasn't even stretched out. You gotta warm up or you might get hurt. And this wasn't even much of a challenge for Menno, honestly.
first songname pleasee!!!
WTF benjiiiii where is your toprocking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! forget the bboying old man >_
What is thé music in first passaj of Bboy benji .....
Please
Menno danced better
LOL that was best call-out entrance EVER!!!
Oh yes it is the wheel that want to see the ox and the Menno danced very much ....
Benji’s foundation is nice. He won
Menno the best bboy👍👍👍💪💪👍👍
Menno endurance is dope..like he cn go on forever
Does anyone know the song
@ 7:44 !! ??If you do can you please give it to me😩😄😄😀👍
If we use the R16 Judging system we can say :
Foundation : Menno
Originality : Benji
Dynamics : Tie
Execution: Menno
Battle : Tie
2 for Menno and 1 for Benji
Winner : Menno (It's just a point of view)
The bigger point, though, is that he's not that special, just louder than the average bboy.
adil Bouiguigne But we aren't.This is a cypher call out(showcase) battle
adil Bouiguigne THE R16 SYSTEM IS BULLSHIT. BENJI GOT SMOKED
BboyUlisses so ? it's a cypher call out but we always can tell who was better doing a (showcase)
respect to menno & benji sick battle
Song at 7:44 Please !
Aymen Bouhrira Moderat - Bad Kingdom, great song indeed!
2:50 anyone who knows the song?! :P
Anyone what's the song call at 7:55 plz tell me I really into the song really inspiring. Very good vibe song.
Very nice battle. benji has been a little hurt by his endurance to the end of the call out but nice performance for him and Menno.
And congrats for them for this battle and to energize this discipline. Peace
Felling like Benjis turning into a one trick pony. XD
y'all need to know your facts. it doesn't matter what a bboy did in the cypher if he concedes, it's all about the last man standing in the cyphers, and benji conceded. but props to benji, i can see him on the come up with this comeback and he made a big statement.
True. It's last man standing in this situation, but on top of that, Menno had the fresher, more varied and musical rounds. Benji got wrecked.
