He started to play poor and got benched which lead to him having a go at the whole team just so they could have a reason to terminate his contract. Now before you guys start saying "They wouldn't have finished top 10 without him", It is true to a certain point but it doesn't excuse his behaviour and performance the season afterwards so imagine this: This is basically the equivalent of getting killed by the person who was last year your very best friend. Just because he was my very best friend last year and treated me right doesn't excuse the fact that he backstabbed me this year and killed me. Period.
Despite the lower production, this was still one of Ronaldo's most legendary seasons. He scored so many game winning goals.

First of all, ETH is to blame for Ronaldo's downslide last season. Despite ETH taking us to the FA Cup Final, Carabao Cup Final and EPL 3rd Place, I wasn't satistied with the way ETH was treating CR7. Because literally the man in 2021/2022 scored 24 and assisted 3, which is pretty solid for a 37 yr old footballer, and this would have gave him the necessary confidence to play to win the World Cup.
