Headcode - 1V38 0930 MAN to CMN, although I got off at SPT. I'll definitely continue to CMN another time!

Somehow the 197s and FLIRTs (231s and 756s) have a very long pause (which I have edited out) between the Welsh and English announcements because they go in sync with the screens which scroll much more slower than the speed of the announcements. Meanwhile the Intercity 225 sets don't have the long pause which means that once Glyn is finished announcing, it goes straight to Elin Llwyd. Strange how it didn’t stop at Craven Arms
even the 1V40 1130 from manchester to carmarthen doesn't stop at craven arms! non-stop from church stretton to ludlow
A couple of weeks ago I recorded the same announcement, but with a different calling pattern which stopped at Craven Arms, but it might be a one off
Can anyone try to record a manual announcement on a 197? Because I heard they have the 175 chime
They have no chime for manual announcements. The only thing on them that sounds remotely like a chime is the cab/saloon to driver phone ringing.
Only the 231s have the 175 chime for manual announcements
