Man that’s one fine coy boy steak! Smoking first and reverse sear on cast iron. Nothings better! Super cook Tom! Oh yeah, like the front shelf!
Thanks Jay! It was awesome!
That was one hell of a delicious looking steak Tom! Love that Uncle Steve's Shake! The Thick Meat Shake is a great blend for beef. That grill pan is sweet. Take care bud!

Steak looked great!! But the temp control??? umm i dont know!! how long did this take!! why did you not use the grill grate instead of flat side.
Thanks for Watching James! It was about 2 hours, I wanted flat seared, but I will use the other side soon! Thanks again for Watching!
You got it brother!
Also a great cook!
Thank you! The leftovers were delicious!
Nice accessory! Without modifying mine, it'll make a disappointing steak. That seems to fix it
It does! Thanks for Watching!
Craving a seared steak now and it’s 5:30 in the morning
Lol! I got leftovers Louis...Thanks for Watching!
Looks great. I'm thinking of getting the Z Grill. But, how would I cook steaks for a family of 4 ? I Guess you'd have to either sear 2 smaller ones at a time or just cook them without the cast iron plate?
Thanks for Watching Brian! You answered your own question
How much smoke taste are you getting from the pellet grill
Thanks for Watching! Smoke is about average on the Z Grill Jeff! Haven’t done anything yet low and slow for an extended period of time, that will be the test
Hey Tom, steak looked great. Would you suggest or the Webber gravity feed?
Thanks for Watching! You mean Masterbuilt gravity?
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Yes haha, sorry. Love the custom blue btw. A little more background, too. The ease of these pellet grills are so tempting, but I am willing to put in the extra work if the Masterbuild is THAT much better.
Good Question ! It all depends on how much smoke you like. The Gravity Series Charcoal Grill, Heavy Smoke, Pellet Grill, light to medium. They both perform well. The Masterbuilt Gravity Series Charcoal can do low and Slow and Hot fast better than a pellet grill. Hope this helps...
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Thanks for the input! cheers
If my steak has grill marks I have failed
Thanks for Watching!
I'm sure it was tasty but this is 101 on how not to reverse sear or grill
Thanks for Watching!
Made in China. No thanks. $60 retail probably cost them $0.60 to make.
Thanks for Watching!
Yea first
You are! Congrats! Thanks for Watching!
