the fact that they chose to include that scene where PFEM was scolding PBBM that he's always partying just tells me that they want this film to be as true as it can be. they could have simply removed that there to make sure his image is not be damaged and that those will remain as rumors in the ears of our young generation but they didn't. all these questions i have, wanting to know how they hell did they got out of the palace. what went on inside while all the protesting happened outside. all that contradicting stories saying that PFEM is a dictator and violent but then EDSA 1 was peaceful EVEN THOUGH that they have tanks and the military protecting them and those protesting were only using the rosary? finally, their side of the story is coming and for me, this will be another step towards a future for my country that does not focus between just the 2 political families Marcos vs Aquino that the yellow created. i want my country to just be able to elect people that are able to provide actual good public service so we can continue our progress that PRRD started again after 30 years. we have to move on!

Okay, personal experience after watching this movie, I cried so much. I have renewed love for my home country and where I came from. I admit, I've been very disappointed about the Philippines for a while which made me feel I don't like being a Filipino. Ngayon, nang matapos ko to panoorin, subra ang lungkot ko sa sinapit ng Pilipinas sa kamay ng mga sumunod na Presidente, apart from Tatay Digong. Watched it yesterday with my husband who currently not into Marcoses, but then after we watched, grabe napabilib sya. First words came out from his mouth was, “ang talino ng mga Marcoses” hindi ka mananalo kung gagamitan mo ng Dahas ang iyong kalaban. But then, instead they used their brains. Goosebumps and literal iyak every scenes, ang bibigat. Kahit wala ka sa pangyayare, ramdam mong andon ka noong mga panahon na iyon. Ang dami ko pang gustong sabihin, but I’ll just keep it myself.
Will definitely watch it again tomorrow!!!

Ever since HS when they taught us about the Philippines' history in our class I always doubt the chapter about the EDSA revolution in every book that was provided for the students, there’s only 1 side story on it where Ninoy Aquino is the Hero and Ferdinand Marcos is bad. If you read deeper and research the history then comprehend it well and have an open-minded mind you will question the history of our country. Why would they say Ninoy Aquino is a Hero didn’t he betray the Philippines and even sell the Sabah to Malaysia? Ninoy Aquino even has a connection with the NPA, which is a threat to our government and a terrorist of our country. Isn’t it Ninoy Aquino is a traitor? And why is Ferdinand Marcos bad and not a hero? Ferdinand Marcos together with the Philippine army fought against the Japanese during japan's invasion of our country. And during Ferdinand Marcos's term as President Martial Law was needed at that time rebels, communist, and NPA was a threat to the safety of the Filipinos and our country. He only wants to ensure the safety of our countrymen at that time. Why would you be threatened if you are not a suspicious rebel, communist, or NPA? If Martial Law was not declared Philippines will be occupied and conquered by the rebel, communists, or the NPA. Yes, some innocent was hurt and got affected by the Martial Law but that wasn’t what Ferdinand Marcos doing, yes he gave the Military power for authority but his instruction was not to hurt the Filipinos. It was the military individual or person who abused the power given by the Martial Law and not Ferdinand Marcos. Ferdinand Marcos only want to protect the Filipinos with Martial Law but some individuals in the Military betrayed him and used his name. Martial Law was to protect the Filipinos from rebels, communists, and NPA but why would Ninoy Aquino want to lift the Martial Law if there is a threat to our country? Ninoy Aquino even threatened the president that he will bomb Manila, and will hurt the Filipinos. Why? He said because he wants more freedom but there is freedom in Martial Law if you obey the Law. It’s only because he wants Ferdinand Marcos's position. So now who is the Hero? The person who threatened to bomb manila or the person who only wishes Filipino to be safe? During Ninoy Aquino's assassination, days before he was killed he was interviewed in the US. In that interview, he stated that a cardinal informed him Ferdinand Marcos was in critical condition and he decided to go back to the Philippines to talk and negotiate with Marcos. When Ninoy Aquino was killed many people accused Ferdinand Marcos as the mastermind of the assassination but why would Ferdinand Marcos kill him if many people know Ninoy Aquino will be meeting him? If Ninoy will be killed obviously Marcos will be accused that’s why Marcos protected Ninoy when arrived he sent the military to protect him. But there’s another greedy person in the story the real mastermind of the assassination, he doesn’t want Aquino and Marcos to meet. During that time there was an issue regarding the Cojuangco Hacienda Luisita hectare of land will be distributed to the farmer, Marcos wants the land to be distributed to the farmers but the mastermind and greedy person don’t want to. Aquino was the administrator of the Hacienda Luisita and during his interview, he stated that will be having negotiations with Marcos if he met Marcos at that time for sure the negotiations will be done and the land will be given to the farmers. That’s why the owner of Hacienda Luisita killed him. Cojuangco was the real mastermind of the assassination, even the gunman confessed that Danding Cojuangco ordered the assassination. Aquino returning to the Philippines was a trap and he became bait and sacrifice for the plan for a revolution. The religious group was against Marcos how will they know Marcos is in critical condition and even reported to Aquino? And after the assassination the religious group is with Cory Aquino a Cojuangco blood and daughter, she became the president, and the land for the farmers was never given. History is a story of the past and every story has 2 sides we should learn and hear these two side before we judged.

We already watch this simple yet intriguing movie of the year. And truly it was a nice movie. Superb casting kahit yung mga extra hindi nagpakabog. There was no REVISIONISM or DISTORTION as painted by the ANTI MARCOSES. It was purely a FAMILY DRAMA. It never painted the marcoses as a saints in the movie but it made cory look really bad.
The ending and iconic scene of Mahjong is very symbolic. Kung film maker ka alam mong napaka importante nung scene. Cory is a legit mahjhong player. Cory and the nuns represented as the political player in our Philippine politics history while the mahjong pieces represented the fate of our country in the hands of the power hungry politicians. It was really a powerful one.
