I watched this commentary run and proceeded to clear G4 The First first try (without even doing hard) doing 120m dps on 1630 and never got hit once. All I did was listen to Memo's commentary. Truly the goat!
@@memorizer92 I play GT myself and Z comes naturally but I think Rage Hammer should definitely utilise it more. The Axe Earthquake counters for example are basically free as long as you have meter up, just go into gravity mode, CC immune for earthquake and then counter with the Z counter in gravity, which doesn't even touch your Rage hammer cooldowns and rotation. Then instantly go back out with X. 04:12 is a good example where to use it. Also double tapping Z with meter is just a free counter in itself for the triple sword counter for example, can be used as an emergency measure. Additionaly I am pretty sure (haven't tested it yet but since guardian tune works it should as well) you can just activate your gravity mode after the blue explosion at the 67 mech (12:03) and walk down without getting rooted. Especially helpful if your team misused splendid panacea or if you are the only one left in your team. This also works when walking up after the sword explosion for the 315 mech, although using a spacebar to learn the timing is probably the better way.
Nice. Even though commentary was a but lacking from the usual stuff you put out. It's perfectly understandable as this gate seems like it demands %100 of person's attention. From the looks of it Thaemine was the main character all along.

For the Earthquake counters you could just go into gravity mode, be CC immune and then counter in gravity with "y" , no?
WIth Z, yes. Any skill with immunity can ignore it

First gate has a solo voice making the melody , on the last phase it is a piano transcription , beautiful sound design and soundtrack
Also it's a variant of the brel + kadan theme with a male voice instead of female. Pretty good for a game OST!

still not 1630 here, is incredible that even with the overgear on kr server they still manage to get a 30 min fight in just one gate
