    If Lemond thinks the only explanation for Froome’s performances was a motor, how the hell does he explain the stand out performances by Pog and MVDP in recent years that make Froome’s look tame by comparison?

      In the 1991 Tour De France Miguel MUTANT Indurain did the TT in 1:11:45 and Greg Lemond was only 48 seconds behind. This is after over 2 weeks of racing around France FULL GAS lol. They both ROMPED the TT course holding OVER 47kph average speed.
      Indurain was also more of a TT specialist than Greg and built a lot stronger. IMPOSSIBLE Greg was natty in that 1991 TDF. Physiologically impossible.

      @durianriders thing is, LeMond was dead beat in the '89 Giro. He was looking at his wife WTF are we going to do? The doctor chimes in, "I could give you some juice cocktail and see how you go"... Sure, what do we have to loose lets try it! Then that miracle TT where he finishes 3rd everything all of a sudden seems to fall into place. Everyone's pointing at his bars this his bars that. As Allan Pieper would say, "RUBISH"!!! LeMond has the talent to beat these dudes with one leg but with some special potion he's got the Mutant Levels! Hey! Don't forget his Hinault team name was LA Vie Claire! That's a laugh in itself! We're living the, "Clean Life". Sheesh too much Drama for me. Can't we just ride our bikes pan y Agua!
      Cheers Mate!

    Totally agree on the Lemond issues, he seems totally fixated on motors, and cannot stop talking about it. Would be way more impressive if he looked actually half-fit, like my mates who some are in their 60s would probably ride circles around him these days, and they were never top level. On the other end of the spectrum there is official commentary on the giro praising Pantani and how fast he was, without mentioning that he was peobably doping just as hard as Lance, and even more on recreational drugs as well. Big hero :-)

    Bro am I a unicorn? Because my results with sugar are always shot down instantly. Even vegangains doesn't believe me that I'm eating enough calories for how lean I am, he said he thinks I'm underestimating my calories yet I eat around 5000 calories a day,... Just the two banana smoothies I eat everyday is over 2400 calories, 24 large bananas + 100g added sugar...and I eat allot more variety than just two banana smoothies per day!! Cooked food around 2500 calories per day maybe more.
    Sometimes I think to myself "am I crazy, am I fucking up my body?" but I look around and I have amazing health compared to most people including most of my family. It's like I have a good thing going here and I don't know why I would change if its working.
    Im starting to think I should stop trying to tell people about carbs and sugar, people don't want to listen, they don't even want to consider. They are overweight on a caloric deficit while eating ham and cheese, WHY? they are making their life hard.

      @@durianriders I don't believe that's the case. I think many are, but not all. High skill sports like tennis or soccer I think it's much less rife - because it's so technical it's probably not enough of a benefit to improve your physicality by 5% or 10% and risk getting caught when you can just be better at the game. For example, a natural Djokovic would still demolish almost all other players if they were doped. You couldn't say that about cycling etc.

      @@ln5747A bit naive, the money in sports like tennis and football, means the pressure to cheat is even higher. The pressure of pro tennis is immense, you don't win you don't get paid. The pro tennis tour is a real grind, to keep your fitness for the entire season, irrespective of your hand eye coordination is immense. The testing is a joke, no one wants to bust the big stars, because you destroy the sport, then the money goes down. So there is no motivation to catch cheaters.

    • @ln5747
      @ln5747 8 місяців тому +1

      @@kevincockburn7805 not naive at all. I've not seen anything to believe people like Djokovic are doping. Top level tennis is still way less demanding than a high level endurance sport, the ability to stay fit is not a problem. One can easily do that workload naturally. More injuries than endurance sport due to the twisting and turning etc, but workload is much lower. Some/many are definitely doping as they've been caught, but I don't believe it's at all necessary to get to the top. Technique will by far outweigh someone having 10% more endurance than you all things being equal.

      @@ln5747 I totally disagree, every sport I have ever seen has been polluted by drugs. Let's take baseball, hitting a fast ball is one of the single most skillful feats of hand eye coordination in all of sport. And yet the hitters were doped out of their minds, Barry bonds, Jose conseco junior, mark Maguire etc. So how do you explain their love of the juice, when that is a skill position, a power lifter is not going to be a good batter in major league baseball.
