Dude, Ansem only used his "Open your heart" move on you once. Like, what? It's always a choice for me to either get hit by Ansem or get hit by his guardian. Either he uses it and I have to roll away, missing my window to block guardian, or block guardian, causing Ansem to swoop in really close and use the move. That's the real game breaker for me.
Thanks for the guide though, once I got into the groove and knew his attack patterns, he never laid a finger on me.
Literally stopped playing to the franchise for 3 years because of that fight,but tried to beat him again this year, and failed. I'm level 85, hp 93 and attack 68 and i still couldnt

this really helped me with my unchanging speedster run, you have no idea! Have had little to no trouble with any other part of the game til here. have been retrying over and over for days! finally got good at dodging everything but the pinball attack, I had no Idea you could block/parry that! I had assumed was unblockable!

man, i really feel like just skipping this bs boss battle. i can’t beat him. i’ve been playing at least 5 times a day for about 2 weeks and i can’t beat him. i think i’ll just go on to kingdom hearts 2

@@deranged_miyeon_stan cause you’re so used to playing while using the analog and if you use square with toward it rolls. It’s just so annoying when you want to dodge though 😖

The Ansem on my game doesn’t stop attacking from the beginning! I don’t understand why this one seems to attack less. Anyway I think I need to go to kh2, can’t do it.

I don't think this ansem fight is hard per Se
Mostly when he defend, I just walked to his back and gave him a combo, then walk to the front and another combo (since usually his guard would end right after I did the back combo)
And the dash, it's mostly just timing with tricky final
Though the hardest one would be the final dubbed 'boat' fight
Square think it's good idea to use flight without dodge or block and spam lasers

My strategy was get close to him as possible and rush him before he can attack and get lucky

The tips definitely helped but i had to tap out my rage had already built up to much before i found this i might come back to it after i play the second one but it feels like way to much especially after this fight it feels way to long winded with the flying portion

still cant beat him. Like his attacks are so random and quick.. it took me 18 tries to defeat chernabog and im playing the damn game on easy mode... this is literal bs and this fight dont get me started that each time you die you gotta fight the giant heartless again.. its so revolting and i dont know how they expected a 8 year old in 2001 to defeat this game let alone understand it.
