I used to listen to Lauren with my mom. My mom was my best friend. My everything. She died last March at only 50. Everything I am, I owe to her. To know me, you would have to know her. She has left fingerprints on me that will never fade. I am crying listening to this. I never imagined I’d be listening to Lauren without her. But life changes so fast. And as she says, the more you love the more you have to lose.

I heard this song yesterday for the first time and it reminded me of my parents who went to be with Lord not too long ago…
If not for the fact that we all have a friend Jesus, this could be a very sad song… but I can rejoice while shedding some tears knowing and believing Jesus Christ’s sacrifice at the Cross on our behalf allows us a reunion with Him Heaven with our saved loved ones. But He gave us such treasures, like memories, a bird singing, a sunset, sunrise, signs, that we are not alone and our friend is still with us but happy they are with our Father. We have fingerprints on us from every loved one we have lost. Life goes by in a blink of an eye. We need to treasure every moment whether good or bad because life is a blessing and can be gone in just the same moment. Me and him were very close since I saw him whenever I was at my mom's house. He was in the hospital for the last 9 months of his life. On her way to visit him my Nana heard Rescue on the radio. So now every time i hear this song and rescue I think of him

My dad died suddenly in 2015 aged 46. I had a very poor relationship with him due to things that happened when I was younger, but I was still very shocked by his death. Well I didn’t see that coming -immediate tears .. in the last 5 years I have lost everyone - the love of my life - my best friends - two of them and numerous other friends and most recently my mom in February. Seems like I went from 40 to sixty six in heart beat if you will . I am definitely a person that Carries around my forever friends around with me as they are all gone .
