I love this! I do want to give you a tip my aunt gave me about my strawberry thighs and arms. She was a cosmetologist. Of course do your own research but this is what removed mine. •Use Betadine Skin Cleanser. On the bottle there are 3 different instructions for 3 different methods of use. Me personally, I just put it on my skin fresh out of the tub/shower. Let it dry, it dries like alcohol on skin. Then I apply a moisturizer to my skin. Below is how I handle hair removal to prevent me getting "strawberry" legs and continue the process of removal. I do understand everyone is different, but this really helped me. I hope it can help you or anyone else too. •Stop using razors to shave(if you do) as ebony women we have naturally curly hair. Using razors can cause the hair to go back in the skin, with only a small part of the hair sticking out to be cut...causing the "strawberry effect" •Instead use trimmers(small clippers) for thicker and/or longer hair •Wait 1-3 days then use Nair (to remove hair stubbies) •I normally use Aloe Oil to moisturize my skin. It's viscosity is low, so it's less likely to cause clogging in pores and it helps rid of any scars. It takes a long time and consistent use to ride of scars, but it's natural and it works.

Chapstick actually dries out your lips (hence the need to reapply), in a short the natural moisture in your lips rebalance. Once you no longer feel dry you’ll most likely stop biting your lips. I used to do Chapstick then switched to eco brands. Ultimately I ended up getting some expensive $30 lip balm that I had in my bag for years because I didn’t have to reapply constantly. That company sold their line. I forgot which ingredients exactly are drying but I’m sure a quick online search will help you find out. I just grab a dab of olive oil every so often and even though it’s rare, carrying olive oil in your purse isn’t exactly easy. Good luck 👍🏽
Thank you for this!!!! I was using the Eco Brand, because same chapstick dried my lips very badly. But, the Eco Brand seems to not do the trick either. You're right, I need to research which of those products having drying properties because the urge is greater to bite when they are super dry. I use to love making natural body butters at home. I am sure I could figure out something with some olive oil or shea butters and make a lip balm. Thanks again! This was helpful! ❤
@@thetoniraywayI use lactic acid on my lips at night, when that dries down I use the Tatcha Lip Mask or pure lanolin. I also keep myself well hydrated throughout the day. I do keep Burt’s Bees around the house but I rarely have to use it. Or just use the lanolin when I’m WFH.

I've used the Laneige sleep mask but I didn't feel as though it helped my lips after long term use. I LOVE Tatcha products so I'll look into their lip mask!
@@thetoniraywayI used The Ordinary 5% lactic acid. I also used Stacked Skincare’s Lip Peel which was a higher price point and I think it also contains Mandelic acid. To be honest they both worked the same. Once I finish the SB I will go back to TO. I do like that SB’s come in a roller ball bottle. If you want to be fancy, you can just buy one and add the acid to it. I use regular 100% lanolin, you’ll smell like a sheep but it works so well. I also use it on my face to slug in winter vs using vaseline. I’ve used Laniege as well and I didn’t see the hype at all. Tatcha’s is much better. Again, the price point is high so when I finish, I will be sticking with just lanolin at night and the acid when need be.

I have 3 goals to work on… sis get you an African net sponge changed the texture of my skin. Yes I exfoliate every shower, yes starting off it was rough but it helped me … My man would say I should adopted your no bitting the lip goal 😂… I do it too , I started getting cheap SHEIN press ons and that stopped my nail biting ..
I actually have one!!! DEFINITELY a game changer when it comes to exfoliating good! 🙌🏾 You should try Lanolips! Now it is pricey ($16.00 dollars....ewww lol) However a little goes a LONG WAY!! It's supposed to be pure lanolin which is better for moisture.

Dear Toni, I just found your video today courtesy of UA-cam suggesting it and I’m now a subscriber.😊 I just want to say thank you for this video, you have literally spoken directly to me and my situation and greatly encouraged me to keep going. I’ve finally had the courage to pursue my content creator path after years of thinking I couldn’t because I wasn’t good enough. I’m working on my goals in each area of my life, I’m trying to get to that poised and polished version of me and want to help other women blossom in their self care and life goals. I’ve also drastically cut back on social media consumption because it made me feel terribly inadequate and like I was behind in life. Being over 40 and not having it altogether (the way I want it to be) has brought a huge feeling of shame but I’m shaking it off because I realise there are so many beautiful, genuine women out there like me, like you 😊, who can offer encouragement and support to one another which will spur us all on to reach our goals. I felt behind because I didn't graduate college, because I STILL have yet to buy a house, because I'm not a seasoned world traveler etc. I spent years and years feeling ashamed and "accepting" the inadequate title "I thought" I was dealt. REMOVE YOURSELF FROM SOCIETIES TIMELINE IMMEDIATELY!! You are on your own timeline and almost 100% of the time it will look differently than others. I knew all along I'd be making videos. I've known that for years! But, I had to experience some life first before I could get on here and present the information like how I can now! It was all apart of my personal timeline. Dig down deep and allow that voice to come out! Don't hide it! Fear will choke us up so much that we end up burying that voice deeper and deeper. I watched the life exit my grandmother's body last Wednesday and when I tell you it gave me a WHOLE NEW outlook on LIFE!!! Don't you dare spend another minute in the woulda, coulda, shoulda mindset. What are you going to do TODAY! Your choices today, can change the whole trajectory of your outcomes tomorrow. I know this was long but my good sis you have further confirmed things in my own life! I have inattentive ADHD & I see that I’m failing as a wife. I’m a better mom than wife b/c my toddlers don’t pay attention. But I need to declutter, improve time management, plan meals/cleaning etc. I know what I should do but doing them seems so daunting😞
First off, you have to remove those words!!!!!!! NEVER tell yourself you are failing! You tell yourself you are learning! As we all know learning takes time and adjusting! Don't overwhelm yourself either. If decluttering is something you need to do, don't stress yourself to do it all in one day. Maybe start off small with a 20 minutes minute project a day. I am a firm believer in not allowing our circumstances to define our lives. My son has Dysgraphia and he is very embarrassed by it. But I drill in him to not allow that to define his life! So yes you may have inattentive ADHD, but you do not have to allow it to take over your life ❤ One day at a time. One small project at a time. I pray you were able to receive some encouragement! Maybe don't start with a 6 month plan. That may be too much for you and that's ok! Start with 1 month or even 2 weeks so it doesn't have to feel daunting. Sending you all the positive vibes! You CAN! And you WILL! You have to believe you are capable 🥰

This was a great video! I took notes and I’m ready to start applying rather than over consuming. I’ve been lacking structure and routine lately and you really broke this down in a way that’s not so overwhelming. Also regarding the strawberry legs.. if you haven’t already, try First Aid Beauty’s AHA body scrub as well as Naturium the glow getter oil wash. These two products together have my legs looking how they should be. I noticed a difference using the FAB scrub the next morning after my nightly routine. And then after you shower, apply your moisturizer to your legs while they’re still wet/damp. Game changer!

I love this! I do want to give you a tip my aunt gave me about my strawberry thighs and arms. She was a cosmetologist. Of course do your own research but this is what removed mine.
•Use Betadine Skin Cleanser. On the bottle there are 3 different instructions for 3 different methods of use. Me personally, I just put it on my skin fresh out of the tub/shower. Let it dry, it dries like alcohol on skin. Then I apply a moisturizer to my skin.
Below is how I handle hair removal to prevent me getting "strawberry" legs and continue the process of removal. I do understand everyone is different, but this really helped me. I hope it can help you or anyone else too.
•Stop using razors to shave(if you do) as ebony women we have naturally curly hair. Using razors can cause the hair to go back in the skin, with only a small part of the hair sticking out to be cut...causing the "strawberry effect"
•Instead use trimmers(small clippers) for thicker and/or longer hair
•Wait 1-3 days then use Nair (to remove hair stubbies)
•I normally use Aloe Oil to moisturize my skin. It's viscosity is low, so it's less likely to cause clogging in pores and it helps rid of any scars. It takes a long time and consistent use to ride of scars, but it's natural and it works.

Do a small part of one area at a time until you get used to using it. And they have a version called Sensitive that's more gentle on the skin.

Chapstick actually dries out your lips (hence the need to reapply), in a short the natural moisture in your lips rebalance. Once you no longer feel dry you’ll most likely stop biting your lips. I used to do Chapstick then switched to eco brands. Ultimately I ended up getting some expensive $30 lip balm that I had in my bag for years because I didn’t have to reapply constantly. That company sold their line. I forgot which ingredients exactly are drying but I’m sure a quick online search will help you find out. I just grab a dab of olive oil every so often and even though it’s rare, carrying olive oil in your purse isn’t exactly easy. Good luck 👍🏽
Thank you for this!!!! I was using the Eco Brand, because same chapstick dried my lips very badly. But, the Eco Brand seems to not do the trick either. You're right, I need to research which of those products having drying properties because the urge is greater to bite when they are super dry. I use to love making natural body butters at home. I am sure I could figure out something with some olive oil or shea butters and make a lip balm. Thanks again! This was helpful! ❤
@@thetoniraywayI use lactic acid on my lips at night, when that dries down I use the Tatcha Lip Mask or pure lanolin. I also keep myself well hydrated throughout the day.
I do keep Burt’s Bees around the house but I rarely have to use it. Or just use the lanolin when I’m WFH.

So is there a particular lactic acid product or brand you suggest? I've also never tried pure lanolin. I've used the Laneige sleep mask but I didn't feel as though it helped my lips after long term use. I LOVE Tatcha products so I'll look into their lip mask!
@@thetoniraywayI used The Ordinary 5% lactic acid. I also used Stacked Skincare’s Lip Peel which was a higher price point and I think it also contains Mandelic acid. To be honest they both worked the same.
Once I finish the SB I will go back to TO. I do like that SB’s come in a roller ball bottle. If you want to be fancy, you can just buy one and add the acid to it.
I use regular 100% lanolin, you’ll smell like a sheep but it works so well. I also use it on my face to slug in winter vs using vaseline.
I’ve used Laniege as well and I didn’t see the hype at all. Tatcha’s is much better. Again, the price point is high so when I finish, I will be sticking with just lanolin at night and the acid when need be.

My man would say I should adopted your no bitting the lip goal 😂… I do it too , I started getting cheap SHEIN press ons and that stopped my nail biting ..

You should try Lanolips! Now it is pricey ($16.00 dollars....ewww lol) However a little goes a LONG WAY!! It's supposed to be pure lanolin which is better for moisture.

I just want to say thank you for this video, you have literally spoken directly to me and my situation and greatly encouraged me to keep going. I’ve finally had the courage to pursue my content creator path after years of thinking I couldn’t because I wasn’t good enough. I’m working on my goals in each area of my life, I’m trying to get to that poised and polished version of me and want to help other women blossom in their self care and life goals. I’ve also drastically cut back on social media consumption because it made me feel terribly inadequate and like I was behind in life. Being over 40 and not having it altogether (the way I want it to be) has brought a huge feeling of shame but I’m shaking it off because I realise there are so many beautiful, genuine women out there like me, like you 😊, who can offer encouragement and support to one another which will spur us all on to reach our goals.

I felt behind because I didn't graduate college, because I STILL have yet to buy a house, because I'm not a seasoned world traveler etc. I spent years and years feeling ashamed and "accepting" the inadequate title "I thought" I was dealt.
REMOVE YOURSELF FROM SOCIETIES TIMELINE IMMEDIATELY!! You are on your own timeline and almost 100% of the time it will look differently than others. I knew all along I'd be making videos. I've known that for years! But, I had to experience some life first before I could get on here and present the information like how I can now! It was all apart of my personal timeline.
Dig down deep and allow that voice to come out! Don't hide it! Fear will choke us up so much that we end up burying that voice deeper and deeper. I watched the life exit my grandmother's body last Wednesday and when I tell you it gave me a WHOLE NEW outlook on LIFE!!! Don't you dare spend another minute in the woulda, coulda, shoulda mindset. What are you going to do TODAY! Your choices today, can change the whole trajectory of your outcomes tomorrow.
I know this was long but my good sis you have further confirmed things in my own life! I am utilizing the tools I've been blessed with in the exact way that I am supposed to. I have inattentive ADHD & I see that I’m failing as a wife. I’m a better mom than wife b/c my toddlers don’t pay attention. But I need to declutter, improve time management, plan meals/cleaning etc. I know what I should do but doing them seems so daunting😞
First off, you have to remove those words!!!!!!! NEVER tell yourself you are failing! You tell yourself you are learning! As we all know learning takes time and adjusting! Don't overwhelm yourself either. If decluttering is something you need to do, don't stress yourself to do it all in one day. Maybe start off small with a 20 minutes minute project a day. I am a firm believer in not allowing our circumstances to define our lives. My son has Dysgraphia and he is very embarrassed by it. But I drill in him to not allow that to define his life! So yes you may have inattentive ADHD, but you do not have to allow it to take over your life ❤
One day at a time. One small project at a time. I pray you were able to receive some encouragement! Maybe don't start with a 6 month plan. That may be too much for you and that's ok! Start with 1 month or even 2 weeks so it doesn't have to feel daunting.

This was a great video! I took notes and I’m ready to start applying rather than over consuming. I’ve been lacking structure and routine lately and you really broke this down in a way that’s not so overwhelming. Also regarding the strawberry legs.. if you haven’t already, try First Aid Beauty’s AHA body scrub as well as Naturium the glow getter oil wash. These two products together have my legs looking how they should be. I noticed a difference using the FAB scrub the next morning after my nightly routine. And then after you shower, apply your moisturizer to your legs while they’re still wet/damp. Game changer!
