Girl you could make the same dang what I eat in a day videos 100 times and I would still watch every one as it was the first time watching you... your lifestyle and love for you and your family tickles my heart and I am grateful of your influence. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My goodness I haven't watched your videos since the last birth! Been a bit busy! Everyone got so grown up lol your kids are wonderful. It strikes me how much newest addition looks like sandy :) I love your videos. When I used to live in an abusive family I would watch your videos as a reminder that parenting can be done better :) your an amazing mum and an amazing family :) and such a great role model! Some vegans give others a bad name but you could change the world with your approach :)
I'd watch you make toast and never get bored. You put together such beautiful videos and I love seeing your loving family, day in the life and what you're eating- I never tire of being inspired by healthy food!
Ellen, if you don’t mind me asking, I’d love to hear more about your breastfeeding journeys (did you wean your babies or self led?) and also if you cosleep with Koufax? We have an 18 month old too - you’re such an inspiration of mine! Been following since Elvis was a baby 🧡🧡🧡
I teach cooking classes to kids and used your almond butter salad dressing for our green salad recipe. I paired it with peas and tropical fruit and some other veg, and they were so excited to make and eat it! These are kids who enjoy the standard kids menu (mac n cheese, chicken tenders), but they were so enthusiastic about grating carrots and chopping lettuce. It just goes to show that with the right presentation, every child will enjoy healthy, whole plant foods!
Hi Ellen, just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration to me. I also have four kids and I ordered all your books - they’re full of incredible recipes. Your children are amazing and your way of life brings me so much positivity and hope in this very mundane world we live in. Thank you!
Are there a lot of vegan restaurants in Portugal? I was born in Portugal moved to the United States when I was four looking forward to go visit in the summer.
@@mariaiacona133 in Lisbon which is the capital city (where I live) there are a lot of vegan places just went to a new one yesterday and they are usually located in popular landmarks of town like “baixa chiado”. In Porto which is another popular city in Portugal there’s also a lot of vegan restaurants ;)) hope that was helpful
I actually loved hearing the family chaos in the background of your breakfast. You could have just as easily turned off the audio and hidden it with a soothing song and we'd have been non-the-wiser.
I have a serious question Ellen. What are some of the main kitchen tool essentials to help with transitioning to the Vegan lifestyle? Any certain type of items not normally used I need to consider to help make things?
Love it. Hey just wondering if you have any recipes you love using pulp from making nut milks at all? I’d love to see a video like that if you’re looking for ideas😉
@@ilonadevries18 I’ve done some of that- and granola is one that I’ve used a lot, but I’m not great with measurements and making sure baked goods don’t become either too dense, or crumbly
I Would love to see a video on how to preserve food or prepare ingredients in advance for meals or snacks. Like keeping celery in water. Cut up lettuce that has been rinsed covered w a towel in the refrigerator to remove moisture. Different ways to have all fruits and veggies cut up and prepared in advance for time saving in recipes. Just a thought. Your kids are adorable and their parents, so very special.
Hey could you maybe do a video on recipes and meals you eat when the kids are sick or unwell? I'm struggling to find vege meals that are super easy to eat, comforting and easy on the stomach for those times - I recently had dental surgery and I only know how to make 2 soups haha
If you don't cook your kale and drink it raw all the time it will destroy your thyroid, I know, I did it to myself. Stopped the kale shakes and took thyroid support pills and my thyroiditis healed.
I just wanted to say that your such a positive mama and papa duo. I love seeing you feed your babies nourishing foods. It's obvious that they get everything they need for a healthy diet and a nourishing home environment. I watched that horrible video saying you were putting your babies in danger. That woman is horrible and obviously jealous of you. No one is being fooled by her bitterness. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'd watch you make the same smoothie every day.
I love your videos and just bought your cookbook bundle last night. My son is 12 and I’m trying to get him strictly plant based. Also, I hope this isn’t weird, your husband reminds me of my dad. He always loved to cook, and wore shorts and no shirt. I loved that he was so comfortable at home and I miss him terribly! Just that made me smile and remember my dad growing up. Thank you!!
Im a 13 year old teen living in the Philippines and i really love your lifestyle videos lowkey wanna live in hawaii to time really goes too fast Koufax has grown alot his laugh is so cute too ! Love from the Philippines ^^
Her diet isn't really that high glycemic at all. Wouldn't really be necessary to monitor glucose levels regularly when you have such a healthy diet with lots of slow digesting foods.
Ellen, I love your vlogs. Watching you and your wonderful family interact with eachother and live such a meaningful, sustainable, respectful life inspires me and makes me so happy 💜 thank you so much for your content
As a first time mama who is also breastfeeding, I’d love hearing about how you manage to breastfeed for so long. Nothing compares to the bond you have your your baby when breastfeeding and I’d love to breastfeed for over a year but I’ve never had a large supply and it makes me so sad.
I’m also a breastfeeding first time mom and am wondering how you know you have a low supply. It’s a serious question that I see people talking about often online. But breastfeeding is so invisible and unless you weigh your baby before and after each feed, it’s impossible to know how much they are consuming. Unless they are crying at the breast for lack of milk it’s hard to know. I mention this because I had moments of doubt because when I pumped very little came out. But my baby has never cried over hunger and nurses often and has lots of wet and dirty diapers and is growing wonderfully. So from the outside it might appear I have a low supply but I know this isn’t true. Anyway, just wanted to offer a different perspective that might be helpful to you.
Have a consultation with a lactation specialist if possible. Like said before: how do you know you have low supply? The breast adapts to the needs of your child. In quantity and quality. Unless there is a structural problem (like a tongue tie or something) it is unlikely to have a low supply…
I am obsessed with your granola recipe (i do it without the dates, though, as its hard to buy them here). My toddler also likes it. Although he prefers to eat oat porridge in the morning as its more smooth and less crunchy.
I still loooove your what I eat in a day videos, even you say that you always eat the same kind of things. I totally understand that after a while it gets a bit boring or the same for you, but for me as a viewer I'm still enjoying it a lot! Will try to make more time for my lunch and make a potato salad like yours, it looked VERY delicious. Thank you Ellen for being such an awesome mom and inspirator! X
Scallions and red onions make salads pop too and they bring out the spice in arugula too. Roast root vegetables are heaven and they make a good side because they are filling. I love orange cherry tomatoes they seem sweet. I’d love to try those tomatoes they look lovely
First time on your channel. When the kids visit the Dr what is their report as in perfect health? I ask because I plan on introducing vegan meals to my 4yr old grandson.
Now I can’t tell if koufax looks more like Elvis or sanddddddy! Also when scout was combing your hair 😂😂She was really trying so hard haha. So cuteeeee
Glad to see you and your family are doing well! It’s been a while for me. Surprised to see the comments on. But happy to give your props! Definitely some goals for me in the video.
Try cutting the mango in half horizontally, then twist it apart & remove the seed (like you do with avocados) then you can eat it with a spoon like a kiwi
I had such high expectations for feeding my toddler all the avocado lol and he HATES it 😂😂😂 he spits it out every time no matter how I season it (or not) and it’s hysterical. He’s really not a picky eater, so I just shrug that it’s the one thing he won’t eat 😂😂
That's better, it's more greens & cruciferous vegetables (nutritious) than fruits (only for flavor). Years ago, you only put a little green in your smoothie. You don't need the powdered greens (that's processed) that you bought. The fresh raw greens is much better. Dr. Brooke Goldner's hyper nourish green smoothie is 75% greens, flaxseed, 25% fruits, and water - both for reversing diseases and for good health maintenance. You can check out her green smoothie tutorial.
My sister is a nanny in Maui, her name is Megan.!! We can't wait to visit Hawaii again, it's our home away from home.. Upcountry is my favorite (: Have you ever tried vegan cookies.? I think your kids would love them..!!
Once again a really great video Ellen! Such a beautiful inspiration and such wonderful shots. Thank you for this. I would also be totally interested in a Behind The Scenes. How you film & edit your video. I'm just starting with UA-cam so I'm always looking for inspiration.
