Chemist wasn't bad. There was tighter & sharper mixers around at this time who did MORE WITH the riddim. The bredda who used to mix for TAURUS & Young Destroyer called Kem One. Tuff. Danny Chemist whos in this video & Mikey Boops from Saxon know bout him.
Nostalgia, this is the good ol days.. nuff jungle mcs patterned themselves off this. These man set the levels for years to come. Glad I'm old enough to have experience these times. Those old enough knows... On the other hand, got my headphones in couple rolled enjoying the vybez. 😤💨💨💨👊🏾👊🏾🔥🔥💯
This is when the great coxson handed over the sound and moved with the times of the dance hall music which was the in thing at the time To survive with the new upcoming sounds which was a smart move, but in my opinion the name coxson was at his best in the 70s
Looking back I cannot believe I used to go to dances waiting in anticipation for some idiot to come on the mic. The DJ music in the late '80s and '90s killed the soul of Jamaican music and gave rise to the hideous genre called 'Dancehall'. Its only now Jamaican music is flourishing again and that is because white people and others all over Europe and the world are flocking to it. Don't believe me? Come to Europe during the summer festival season and listen to some serious tunes being dropped. Interestingly, they hardly ever invite people like Elephant Man et al.
Yes i ah when UA-cam was good and no bullshit yes eyeman glad your back on FB as well
That daddy freely tune at 8:00 was my fav as a yout! Probably inspired me to chat da mic
