I remember the old days in my province of Bukidnon in my home town I can recall those days the music maker of that time is called "Rondalla " all string instruments that is the memories of the past
More FYI The instruments played here are... in local parlance; * Banjo Tenor * Banjo Low * Guitara/Sista * Bajo Oñas (a 4-stringed hollow bass guitar with a large sound board and played with a "pick"... aka Oñas).
Ito yung hinding hindi ko makakalimotan dahil ang ninong ko at Papa ko ay meron nitong mga instrument na ito dahil members sila sa City band kaso pareho na po silang namayapa nakakamis lang talaga.mis ko na kayo papa at ninong sumalangit nawa ang mga kaluluwa ninyong dalawa.
The tune is called "Black and White". Long influenced by Music brought about by the coming the American culture, many in Siquijor Island especially of the Baby-boomer generation and a little older, know this tune. I doubt very much if there are any other places anywhere in the Philippines, who could relate to this piece of music. These and many more humble traits are part of the pride of the People of the of Siquijor Island. I am proud to be called a "Siquijodnon".

I have only been reminded about this video clip last night. It took me some time to find the video clip again. But luckily the post is still up and active. In response to your question... yes, you can still watch, listen and enjoy this kind of music in Siquijor. In fact it is what inspired me to seek this clip again. This form of music is now becoming very rare to find in Siquijor Island. It is slowly fading away, perhaps even disappear if the culture is not preserved. But there is a virtual musical show and the likes of it on the internet, featuring talents with roots from the Island of Siquijor, who are displaced of this means of livelihood due to the pandemic. Watch and follow "The Sounds of Siquijor". One of their performers featured in one of their show is exactly what you were looking for, "Rondalla Lilo-an". FYI There are many of these Minstrels around the Island of Siquijor. We practically grew up hearing their music, on Weddings, Fiesta times, Christmas Holidays... and in short, in most Happy times. But no matter how their music sounded and no matter how crude their instruments were... we from the Island of Siquijor all enjoy their music. And we still do. And we Siquijodnons stand proud of this Heritage and Culture. These musicians are part of the simple life in Siquijor Island. Everyone of them are proud of what they can do and of what they can offer... no matter the odds against them. These musicians make their own instruments and for some, "hand-me-downs" that have gone through the years... some instruments are even older than they are. Many of their instruments are broken, bent out of shape, some rusted, and with strings that they can't even afford to replace, they splice them together. In short, they make do with what they have... no complains. Most of their tunes are out of memory and of the old... not of this digital nor this synthesized sounds of today. But those tunes are the ones that last. The reason you still hear them being played today. Most of them don't read music and only "play-by-ear", if you know what that means. Sintudando??? We don't care. We hum along to the tune they play and we dance along to their beat. These musicians enjoy playing music and we enjoy watching and listening. This happens on fiestas back in the days, elder men would visit household with guests to perform with gratified permissions from home owners. After performing they'll get a tip from the house owner then find another household buzzling with guests and perform again

Its nostalgic since their skills weren't known passed on. And when elders perform, u could say that their time was short on performing just like carolling on Christmas so its not a question why its trending now, its just that there was actually a video uploaded on the internet. Such luck is a treasure

I am not particularly knowledgeable about the mechanics over the internet but I am glad that your clip about the Island life in Siquijor is attracting some attention. BTW, I just saw part 2 of this clip and now, I am sure many will want to see more of it. I believe the title of the song they were playing in that video is a locally composed version of a holiday Carol, "Merry Christmas Na Lang", or words along those lines.
