These machines were definitely built tough. It is incredible how after all those years, they can still head over to the fields and do a day's work perfectly.
That takes me back, to late 70's, agri contractor I worked for had 6 new holland & 1 Claas combines, 5 of the NH had 15ft cut, 1 had 17 foot cut & Claas had a 16 foot cut, only 2 had a cab fitted, the NH7070 & the Claas, other NH were 140s and 1540s, I used a 140. dusty itchy times, as most of corn we cut was barley, followed by wheat and oats. Oil seed rape wasnt grown in our area in UK.
Dit is in het mooie hoge Noorden. In Groningen.
I remember my granddad wore goggles when combining and when he took them off he was all clean around the eyes and really dirty everwhere else. 😅 He had a 9 ft. Dronningborg D900 combine.

What a lovely video! So nice to see the old combine running well, and the auger nice and bright!

Mooie video Niels!

That FWD 8210 is a little over the top for towing a small grain trailer!
Yes a smaller tractor would be sufficient but the farmer didn't have one available.
I was definitely born in the right generation! No cab…….🥺

Nice to the straw being kept , far to much is discarded like throwing away half the crop
