What a legend. Dude’s so good they keep bringing him back as different characters for Chucky. First he played twin brothers, then a priest (who explodes), now the freaking president. I love Idle Hands and the Final Destination series.
Any other people remember the first time you saw him in Casper? I was blown away he was so beautiful. My fangirl heart was all a flutter that's for sure.
@@hyperspeed_心猿 Completely agreed. If any bodypart deserved an Oscar, it's Jessica Alba's posterior during said era. That ass deserves the same level of respect and adoration that Meryl Streep's phenomenal acting receives.
Hey Mike It means alot to us fans you and Tom are willing to talk so much Smallville, I know its alot to talk about your job all the time and I just really appreciate you two embracing your characters bc it looks like you all really cherish your time on the show so thank you from a huge Smallville/DC fan❤ Edit: Im a disabled combat veteran and smallville got me thru deployments so seriously thank yo , all of you!! Clark holding Lana when shes thrown off that balcony is my #1 moment in the show!
My favorite Canadian actor. I loved his appearances in Casper towards the end of the film and Little Giants. His guest spot on Hawaii Five-O regarding mental health so close to home and his scenes with Chi Mcbride elevated that episode. Chi McBride wrote that specific episode.
My kiddos have finally reached the teen-preteen years so I started showing them all my favorite movies from when I was their age.... Casper, Night of the Twisters, Little Giants, Wild America....my daughter finally pointed out last night that Devon is in all of them :)
SLC Punk was one of my favorite movies when I was in college and at the height of my punk rock phase. I still quote Devon's line: "Bob? You ARE Jesus!" to this day, usually whenever I see one of my buds doing something mundane.
Yesss!!!! It was crazy to watch it and see Jason Segal as a closeted punk!!! Him and Mathew Lillard were so funny. Whole cast killed it, it was just a great piece of comedy for embracing that certain time and world.
I love how awesome and responsive Devon is, and how Michael is accepting of flipping the script, it’s like a double pod cast of both of them going back and forth with question , answer and mutual discussion. Love it 🎉
Loving the new light. Devon should have been paid for that stock footage. I loved that scene from Casper when he played the human version. Best podcast ever.
#DevonSawa I'm very proud of you for being sober as long as you have!!! So many people can't last that long. I've had friends that lost their lives to drinking and drugs. Keep doing the best you can!!!
Prob two of my favorite personalities in Hollywood right now. These two guys are awesome! Been waiting for Sawa to get on here for a while. Great stuff!!
Thank you Michael! Devon was a delight as I expected. Mental health is something I’ve been struggling with so I appreciate you and Ryan and the team putting a focus on this stigma that plagues us. 🎉🙌
Man I really enjoy hearing about successful people talk about their trials and struggles in their journey to being who they are today! Well done Michael 👏🏻 Devon great stories and honesty.
I was busy planning my wedding and missed this one! I was just so in love with Devon growing up. Posters everywhere! So exciting to see this! Thanks Michael for all the hard work you do, getting all these amazing actors on your podcast!
I've never stopped thinking so. He's been my favorite actor since 1995. I know I've missed some movies or TV appearances here and there, but never stopped loving him.
OMG!!!! 2 of my favorite actors that I fantasize when I was young in a row😂😂😂. Actually 3 but Jonathan Brandis is gone. Luv Devon Sawa and Edward Furlong back in the days. 😍😍😍🥰
I loved Devon Sawa since I was 11. He's been my 90's crush since Little Giants, Casper and Now and Then. I'm so glad to see he turned out a be great guy after being in Hollywood for so long and that he's doing well in life. Great interview. Love to see more Devon on IOY.
I was NOT prepared for the ending of Hunter Hunter!! 😱 Great indie movie!! I love Devin Sawa, he's fantastic in everything, and genuinely seems like a cool, chill dude.
When I was watching escape plan, he looked so familiar, but I just couldn't fgure it out. When I finally saw credits, all I could think was that final destination kid is all grown up. At the time, I didn't know he was still around and acting.
Love this podcast so much and how Michael has become an advocate for mental health and therapy. This is what makes this podcast so great, loved this episode. I really think Devon should at least try going to one therapy session. It wouldn’t hurt him and I have always thought therapy is good for the soul specially when you’re going through some dark times in your life. So important especially with the stigma for men and women. I been thought so many therapist, since I was so young life hasn’t been a bed of roses for me with family and relationships. I started up seeing this amazing therapist for the past month and not all therapists are that great so you have to weed through the right ones. It’s been awhile since I have seen someone and she been amazing awesome therapist. I was going through some a difficult time plus I am turning 60s in a month and I needed this and I haven’t broke down in tears in awhile, starting to enjoy life doing for myself and taking time for myself and doing trips and concerts. I have always put everyone before me and been helping others for so long I need to take time for myself and that what my therapist has been suggested for me to live life for myself instead of for others. Devon is an amazing person really enjoyed listening to him and you Michael. You really talked about so much on this episode and you get to learn so much about Devon, Another great episode, Inside of you Podcast Rock!!!
Stock footage doesn’t include cast. If he’s used in the new movie he has to have a deal made to reuse his coverage even if it was shot in a previous movie. Source - I’m a TV POST PRODUCTION PRODUCER. Growing up in the 90s, I had such a huge crush on Devon Sawa after _Casper_ . I'm glad to see how grounded he still is after all these years. He seemed like a genuinely chill Dude. Also, I love the recommendation of _Dark_ . It's probably my favorite sci-fi series of all time. I just might check out _To the Lake_ now.
Final Destination so cool 🎬 🎞 🎥 But I won't lie to you if it bothers me a little bit to drive around a truck, especially on the M1 UK motorway 😄 thank you Michael for another great interview 👍
When i was a kid i had the biggest crush on Devon Sawa when he was in Casper and the little giants then as i got older i still had a crush in idle hands and final destination and now that I'm 35 i still have a crush on him hes awesome in chucky and anywhere he is 🤣 🤣 🤣
Excellent debate around your different careers, your families ❤❤ and mental therapy ❤ and you finally convinced Devon to do one, Michael, it’s great !🙂💙 I remember Devon in Finale Destination and Casper ❤❤ i like them ! Another rewarding podcast !! 💙💙💖💖
Devon is a sweetheart! He and I had a good laugh about Casper & Now&Then movies, it showed our ages. LOL and that I watched Idol Hands more than a human girl should.
I am such a huge fan of Devans. As kid idle hands and around the campfire (I think it was called) and SLC Punk. I could keep going but he was in so many of my favorite movies as a kid. Great to see him here
They were referring to Bruce Campbell as if he had passed away. I had to look it up to see he was still alive. Roddy Piper, no mention of his movie. He was a wrestler to film but he only did that one movie but it was a great one: "They Live." Anyway, I might try out Dark but I doubt any show with sub-titles would be that great if you have to divide your attention.

Dude you just gave him his first therapy session! Lol love this and talkville. And this show is therapeutic for me really, thanks to you and Ryan and all your amazing guests. But really man you have a gift, I'm happy for you that you found it.
I thought I saw Devon at a North Vancouver Walmart maybe 18 or 20 years back. It was early morning so not a lot of people there at the time and he broke out into a song with a couple females he was with as he entered. It may not have been him but I thought to myself "Hey, looks like the kid from Final Destination". Always wondered about that TBH.
I loved Devon ever since Little Giants. Especially with Christina in Casper and Now& Then. I wish they would appear together in something now that they are all grown up. And he was amazing in Stan.

Idle Hands is seriously under appreciated
Honestly idle hands is one of the most underrated movies!!! It's soooo goooddd😂😂❤❤❤!!
When the hand is separated from him, it's the hand from The Addams Family.
Amen.
THANK YOU!!! As silly and campy as the movie is, he legitimately makes it look like the hand is acting on its own. One of my favorite movies of his.

"Final Destination" was one of the best, original movies of that era. His acting was awesome.
That movie came out when I was still in High school at the time.

I’d already seen him in a Canadian show before Casper came out
Had a HUGE crush on him back in the early 2000s lol
First crush ever! ❤️ Casper was on repeat in my house growing up 😂
Yes ☺️
That's when I fell in luv 🤣 ❤
His name is Junior Floyd and he's the quarterback for the Little Giants.

Idle Hands was my teenage years, thank you DS
The introduction of Jessica Alba. Man... when you're a teenager and she appears in her first real movie. Maybe her first.
@@mtpstv94Good God, that was back when Alba had ass.
Jessica Alba's butt deserved an Oscar for best supporting actress for that one.

He’s always anton to me haha
He’ll always be Yudo to me
I loved Devon Sawa in the movie Slackers. It was one of my favorite comedies when I was in my teens.

Devon sounds like a really down to earth, cool guy!
He was massive teen hearthob in 1999. He had a good few years and then fell off.
This episode was riveting. Devon seems a really cool guy.
tbh he probably doesn’t need therapy 😂 Coming from somebody who needed and has done therapy 😅
