Calves could care less about which cow produced them. They'll suck any cow they can latch on to. They view a cow as a source of food and nothing else. I don't know to much about raising calves, but my question is...why are they not feeding from their mothers?
Because then we will not get cows milk. Calves are taken away from their mothers on first day itself so that they can not drink their mother's milk.
In large scale diary farms .They separate the calves from their mothers due to excess work load...
Not practical calves would be injured or killed even
